Dakara Kouya (lossless/flac)
In this TV mini-series from 2015 (8 episodes), a bored housewife in an unhappy marriage leaves home and embarks on a journey across Japan by car. Enroute she suffers some traumatizing events (mistaken for a prostitute, car stolen) and ends her journey in the atomic wasteland of Nagasaki. There she becomes aware her life is a "wilderness" (which is also the title of the theme song) and starts to explore the path to rebirth. Despite the serious nature of the story, the score is rather lively. It starts out with some salsa, followed by a nice rhumba. There’s a quick-step and a bossa nova in there too, along with a few pensive tracks for piano and soft guitar.

27 tracks on Jasrac # NGCS-1050. Released in 2015.
