Provided this game ever gets released and the rumors and been long spread for years now, what would you like to see in the game? I know the main wish for KI fans is for the game to actually be released. But beyond that…..here’s mine:
All the characters from 1 & 2/Gold
Arcade style graphics and sound
comes with a CD containing everything heard in the game – music, announcer’s lines, etc. If they wanna have remixed themes like in Killer Cuts, then I’d like to see a two-disc album. One disc with the game version. Other disc with remixed music.
a unlockable…..I don’t know what to call it…..mini-game or something? Where you live out your character’s ending. Like as Fulgore, taking over the world and replacing humans with the other Fulgore robots (I know Fulgore 1 was put away in his ending. But in the mini-game or whatever, you’d have to break free and lead the other Fulgore machines. You’d also overthrow Ultratech., evading the cops as Cinder, etc. I’d certainly enjoy it and hey it’s a wishlist so….

I would go on and say it’s impossible to see a KI3. It’s rights must be splitted between Nintendo and Rare, and doesn’t seem they’ll reconcile anytime soon. Even then, the fanbase is not big enough to assure a release.

false, KI belongs completely to RARE, like perfect dark and the character conker

Well there’s been a KI trailer for XBox One. Guess I’ll have to get that console now lol. Don’t know if its a remake of the first or second or if there’s finally a third game. Just wish the console had backward capability, (which is impossible cause of something that has to do with how both consoles are made of something???) which IMO as of this writing is the only downside.
Edit: Just saw the debut trailer and E3 gameplay footage on YoutTube. Looks to be a new game unless those costumes were alternate attires. Glad they kept the original announcer. Only saw Jago, Glacious, and and Sabrewulf. All good characters from the series, but I hope the other original return. Especially Fulgore. I view him as a mainstay so I would think he’s a lock.

Isn’t the only reason people still vaguely remember KI the fact that it looked amazing in arcade? I don’t think Killer Instinct has any sort of market value as a brand anymore, even way bigger fighting game franchises like Tekken or Mortal Kombat are struggling these days, Street Fighter is pretty much the only one with any sort of legitimate international scene.
Good luck with the game and all but I don’t really see how Rare in it’s current state could muster together the talent to create a triple a fighting game, do they even have people employed who have worked on an actual video game anymore?
