i have a question..

is there a connection between all of the final fantasy stories? well.. except for ffx and ffx2.. but.. is there something that connects the whole thing and kinda makes it like just one story.. just in different timelines or something?

i know it’s a little pointless.. but i’m curious.. i’ve only played ffvii ffx and ffx2.. hehe..

there is really no connection story wise…. but there are parts of some games that refer back to others. like in ff tactics u can get cloud and the "materia blade" . and in ff 9 u can look at a sword at a weapon store and they say, i used to know a spikey haired guy with a sword like that… and it was the buster blader.

They’re about as un-connected as my foot and my toe.

However, barring sequels, there is no connection between Final Fantasies, besides recurring theme (ie saving the world, Cid, in many you’re rebelling against some evil empire, etc.).

Yeah it is. There is talk about them making a sequel to FF7 but I dont know who true that is.

i never really completed ff7.. so i dont know the whole story of ff7.. hehe

FF7 aint no plague, its a drug. A very addictive one at that.
Usally i wouldn’t recomend this kind of material but in this case i make an exeption =)

i think that only the world maps are alike. theres always a big chocobo looking plain at the top of the world map.

No, VII was just over-hyped and has many fans, and so Squre is milking money off of it.

VII is easily one of (if not the) worst Final Fantasies. :/

I can’t think of a single one with a "giant chocobo looking plain" on the top of the world map…

well…..in 7 and 10 *i think its in 10* thers a peice of land and i think it looks like a chocobo…….or at least its head…..or maybe its just me O_o;;

There’s always the quote in IX about there not being a "Cloud or Squall in the sky"…

7 i thought was good b/c it was fun and had a good story the one i thought was not all it was hyped up to be was 10 b/c it just wasnt as fun and had more annoying things and its plot was very lacking and wasnt very well explained and understood.

Anyways there is no connection between them you can speculate but they take place on different planets so they cant be connected.
