I’m sure there’s some interest in this here, so I figured I’d post this.

Here’s the link to the smaller, lower quality version. (http://tong.bucheon.ac.kr/pds/board/anipds/upfile/hellsing.wmv)

Here’s the link to a torrent for the larger, higher quality version. Just to warn you, there aren’t many seeds, so it could take a while. (http://www.2torrents.com/download/87628/GENSAKUBAN_HELLSING_DVD.torrent)

I thought it looked pretty neat. I’ve never read the manga, so seeing the nazis and such was a surprise to me.

Heh. I have read the manga, so I’m really looking forward to seeing the nazi arc animated. I just wonder how much of the manga’s humor this series will retain.

Does anyone know how many episodes this OVA will be?

Yeah, the manga is way better than the anime so I figured I’d lose interest in it altogether. However, I am curious to know what Schoedinger (super kawaii!) will be like.

Does anyone know how many episodes this OVA will be?

No idea, mate. I think it will be somewhat longer than the first series. Unless they cock it up, of course.

The word is that they hope to animate the entire manga, which has been running for years, and to the best of my knowledge, is still running.

So if funding holds, I imagine it’ll run for several 26 episode seasons.

It won’t be done in seasons… It’s an OVA.

They’ll be released at a rate of one episode per month for the next three years or so.

I know that it’s an OVA, but for some reason, I had it in my head that it was still going to be released in a season-like format?

I can’t remember where I got that idea, so I’m assuming you’re right on this one. 🙂

Also: one episode dvds! ; ; Things like that make me glad I’m not in Japan. I wonder how much they’re charging per dvd.

Probably the usual rate.
