It’s general, but it’s General Gaming, not General Discussion.

It would help me a lot if you told me what types of games you like specifically, and maybe give a list of what games you already have.

EverGrace for the PS2, it’s an Action RPG that is very good. It’s dated now, but it really is a Buried Treasure. The voice acting is attroscious, but the gameplay is solid.

Another buried treasure that I always speak highly of is Breath of Fire IV. It’s in my opinion, the greatest RPG ever made, period. The story is very well written, it’s a somewhat dark story that knows when to put light-hearted commedic moments in there. The gameplay is really supurb, they really put the idea of the formations, and combination attacks to full effect. The side missions are supurb too. You can actually build a town, and make it look like a town with planning and what not.

Breath of Fire IV is my favorite game of all time. It’s an absolutly supurb game. Along with every other Breath of Fire game. And I highly recommend you pick all 5 of them up.

Drakengard for PS2 is a good game (some small flaws here and there, but they are mostly minor niggles rather than serious faults)

Ok… Gamecube recommendations…

Tales of Symphonia, Baten Kataos. Both RPG’s and both pretty good.

Playstation 2…

The Dynasty Warrior games. Hack and slash games, loosely based on a great novel.
Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Strategy game, set in the Three Kingdoms period in Ancient China.
Kessen series. Another strategy series of games, set in japan and china and japan again (Kessen 1 and 3 in japan, Kessen 2 in china).
Shadow Hearts and Shadow Hearts Covenant. Dark RPG’s, both of them pretty good. Koudelka on the PSX/PS1 was the prequel to these games.
Star Ocean til the end of time. Another good RPG.

Playstation One…

Vandal Hearts games. Strategy roleplay games, the first came out before FF Tactics, so if you know what FF Tactics is like, Vandal Hearts is similar to it.
Suikoden 1 and 2. These two are great RPG’s, IMO, and any RPG fan should have a go at them just once.
Breath of Fire III and IV. CAPCOM did alright with these two RPG’s. Keep an eye for them.
Lunar Silver Star Story and Lunar Eternal Blue. Originally released on a Sega console, these two were ported to the PSX/PS1 and are good as well.
Grandia. Another Sega import to the PSX, and pretty good.

There are others, but I can’t think of them at the moment.
