I just came across the news that there is a blu ray recording of the Final Symphony concert now!
Maybe someone got their hands on it?

"Announced by Square Enix today, Final Symphony will release as a high-fidelity Blu-ray audio disc, featuring 96 kHz/24 bit audio in Stereo and 5.1 Surround sound, and looks set to bring the ultimate Final Fantasy symphony atmosphere to your own home. As well as allowing you to experience the music of Nobuo Uematsu and Masashi Hamauzu at the highest possible quality, the album also contains a collectible, in-depth guide to the arrangements, featuring full colour photography from all the recording sessions."

Availability:

available at both Bonn and London Final Symphony II concerts (before the official launch date to buy)
Physical edition to launch first in Japan on September 31

Here. (Thread 126974) I will upload 24/96 if someone is interested but i doubt that there is a difference in quality.

Thank you!
But aren’t there any videos of the concert on the blu-ray? I read something similar on their announcement website:

the album also contains a collectible, in-depth guide to the arrangements, featuring full colour photography from all the recording sessions.

Is it worth it?

It’s the usual Blu-Ray Audio disc so there aren’t any videos of the concert. Feature mentioned above is just a picture slideshow running while listening to the tracks.

If you’ve uploaded the 24/96 files, would you mind sending me the link? I just got a new set of speakers and I’m trying to see if the extra quality makes a difference ^^

Sure thing, I’ve updated the post (Thread 126974) in the lossless thread.
