I will probably have to go with FFX. The fact that you could switch out your party members at practically anytime was something new and exciting. It added a lot more excitement to battles, because you didn’t have to deal with enemies using the same three, four, or five characters throughout the battle. I also liked how in FFX, a character had to perform an action in battle to actually earn AP. In previous Final Fantasy games, all characters would at least earn a portion of Experience Points, or whatever it was called in the games. I didn’t like that all to swell. But, you actually had to fight with all the characters if you wanted them to become stronger in FFX.

FFXI.
party dynamics are complex, adrenaline actually gets pumped as you have to try to live, and interactions like skillchaining and magic bursts make it a joy.

But, I suppose, if you want "real" final fantasies, then FFVI, ’cause awesome.

I agree with smokey about ff X, but I like IX’s too. People don’t like IX’s because you have to tick with a weaker weapon for them to learn an ability, but it ends up making you stronger. I liked VII’s materia, because any character could do any spell. Summons, magic, stealing, etc, but it gets really annoying trying to level up everyone if you can only use 2 different people at a time. (because youre stuck witht he main character) X’s system allowed you to work with other characters with out the main character having to be there, which I liked.

I liked quite a few of the battle systems from the Final Fantasy games, I liked the systems in Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy IX, and especially Final Fantasy X.

If I had to chose just one though it would probably be, Final Fantasy VI’s. I liked that the charecters could learn all the diffrent spells, but still each one had there own skills that were unique to them, and how the Espers could help increase your stats when you leveled up.

VIII. No question.
Junctioning and drawing your magic was the best idea they ever had.
Then FFIX appeared….

oh dear

Final Fantasy Tactics for me, there was just so much more you could do in that game than the rest of the FFs. I just wished you could have had more than 5 playable characters in each battle.

To be perfectly honest? X-2’s.

It was insanely fun for me. Leveling up was actually way more fun then progressing the story.

Either Tactics or VIII. They have so much depth and strategizing to them.

I like the FFVII materia system! It was a little bit of some challenge, but also simple. Medium!

I also like FFVI and FFIX. Very simple and normal way to learn abilitys!

My one favorite is the Materia system in FF-VII, because I like it when I can decide about the materia everybody will get. And the splitting of materia was cool too. 😀

My other favorite is the Sphere Grid in FF-X. I just loved it to see, what my characters can learn at next. And I could decide where they go to. 🙂
