Favorite Party

I would say that all though I like all of the party members in FF7, I use Cloud, Tifa, and Cid. They have good ultimate weapons (but then again, everyone does, hence the name ultimate 😛 ) But the main reason why I use them is for their final limit breaks. Let’s face it, they rock! They’re all multiple hits and they all do a ton of damage with each hit and overall. I also like to use them throughout the game because Cid is hysterical and it’s funny in disc 1 in the Temple of Ancients when Cait Sith tells Cloud and Aeris’s fortune to have Tifa in your party. They’re all cool characters and all of them can be good but I think that Cloud, Tifa, and Cid are the best in the end because of their limit breaks.

Well, that’s my opinion. What about all the other FF7 fans out there? =)

Well there was Dave’s birthday bash last June.

only because they have the best limits.

I tend to use Cloud, Barret, and Cid. It’s relatively easy to adjust Cid’s average statistics, so these three make a good final assault team. Barret in particular is effective when you load his Missing Score (dmg. based on present Materia levels) with mastered independant materia like HP Plus, Cover and Counter Attack.

Tifa’s problem: the Premium Heart deals damage based on the amount of Limit energy she have accumulated. Right after executing a Break, expcet to deal 20 points of damage with her attacks O_O. Also, while her Limit Break is effective, there are most certainly better things out there in terms of hits/damage.

Red XIII and Yuffie’s problems: Yuffie is -excellent- for Morphing enemies, but these two have single-strike L4 limit breaks (though they do hit all enemies), and that’s generally discouraging (basically they’re equivalent to merely having an occasional Ultima spell that doesn’t cost any MP). Red XIII does have nice starting stats, however.

Aeris’s problem: We all know what her problem is :(. If she didn’t have it…well, she easily has some of the best Limit Breaks in the game, so she’d be going EVERYWHERE in my party, probably replacing Cid.

Cait Sith’s problem: Randomized limit breaks are challenging to use, not necessarily the best thing in the world while you’re facing the likes of Emerald or Ruby Weapon, but certainly not a problem in normal fights. His ultimate weapon (based on current HP like Cloud) IS highly reliable.

Vincent’s problem: You get him too late in the game. Death Penalty has the potential to be the strongest of all the weapons, but you’re gonna have to work for it, and his Limit Breaks are not that great (personally I don’t like losing control of my characters, limit breaks or otherwise).

it does’nt really matter all that much but i usually end up with

until you get cid’s triple slotted weapon, then i swap Red with Cid

I didn’t know that Barret and Tifa had special powers to their Final Weapons=-O Well, I guess I might do some switching around of party members 😛

My favorite lineup is Pikachu, Squirtle and Greymon.

Anyone naming the characters after pokemon and digimon needs a big, sexy lollipop, grape flavored.
