Concherer

In Via Infinito, on Cloister 60, you fight a boss called the Concherer. How the hell do u beat it??? It does 60000 damage to one char. with Megaton Press and always has Protect, which you cannot Dispel. I can’t beat it. Help!!!!!!!!!!!

Mascot dressphere or Gunner / Cat Nip or Lady Luck / Random Reels / Pause / 777 I would think. Any of the standard tricks.

Give two of your girls dressspheres with high defence and give them defence raising accesories. The other girl should use the Trigger Happy+Cat Nip trick. That’s how I did it anyway.

I equipped everyone with an auto-haste accesory and an auto-protect accesory. Then I equipped two girls with the Gunner dressphere and the other with Mascot. The Gunners kept doing trigger happy (I have an auto-fire controller, so I kinda cheated there :P) and the Mascot kept doing that one beam attack. Sorry, I can’t remember the name. But this is how I defeated it.

Moogle Beam. So it woudl have to be Yuna in Mascot dressphere.

Yes, sorry, haven’t recieved that dressphere yet and I accidently erased my old data so I couldn’t double-check.

Now i am stuck on Chac, the 80th Cloister boss. More help now!

Well, a couple of general bits of strategy regarding Chac:

– Ribbon does not protect against its Stony Glare. Nothing does. If a character is hit with its Stony Glare, cure it immediately with either Remedy, Soft, or Esuna or prepare for that character to be shattered. Watch out especially for Heaven’s Cataract.

– Disable its Heaven’s Cataract by getting into Oversoul. Oversoul form never uses Heaven’s Cataract. To oversoul it, fight monsters of the same type over at the temple ruins in Zanarkand (I believe that’s the right place.) Once you get one that oversouls, run away and then go try Chac again.
