OK… FF6, WoR. After you get the Falcon, you see a bird fly to Zozo. You follow the bird, it tells you to go up to Mt. Zozo through that door that’s rusted shut. For the door, you need Rust-Rid, and for the merchant to give that to you, you need to activate the bird’s scene first where it flies up to show you where to go.
This is my fifth or sixth time going through FF6. Most times I’ve done it the normal way where I rescue Cyan immediately after getting the Falcon, but this time I did some other stuff… get Gau, find Mog, etc. Now, I’ve come back to Zozo to get Cyan, but the bird is gone! There’s no bird! Has anyone ever had this bug? Is it a bug?

there’s only one guy in Zozo who tells the truth. talk to him to get the rust rid. also, remember Lola? talk to her before going to Zozo. hope it helps!

I talked to the Rust-Rid merchant… he just gave the same speech he gives you in the World of Balance about jumping between buildings. I hadn’t talked to Lola, though… that could make a difference.
EDIT: Yeah, that was it. I forgot that the bird first goes to the town of Miranda. I went to Zozo, and the bird hadn’t even arrived there yet.
