Haha. What I meant was the critical bit about those kinds of parodies is that they have to be done just right, because (in my view) the whole purpose is to watch them with your girlfriend/wife/partner/..., so it must be done in a way that women actually enjoy watching it. I just don't think that this one will fit into that category.

It's being a while that that kind of movies just cannot get it right. The problem is that they make movies with their willies and not with brains. Blade Runner was good because you can actually feel the movie, it is believable... that kind of movie are not... I prefer when people do not pretend to do things... but in that case I will be filming myself with my companion and only a bunch of wankers will be interested in that... oh well... we can go on forever about this. For the records: I'll pass on this... and if I manage to download it... I don't think it will last more than a couple of minutes with the fast forward pressed on... as with every other movie (if you call it like that) of the same kind.
If only they will use their brains instead of something else... but that will be art... and Blade Runner is a work of art. Period. ;)

I just had a nice win on eBay. 4 original bootlegs. Gongo, 2019, Esper MKII and Reflections compilation. Was cheaper than I expected it to go. Even if faked up, they look nice with properly printed artwork and real labels on discs. I though Esper MKII was an mp3 album that wasn't available on disc. My memory is getting bad lately.

Nice catch! The MKII was the first real bootleg in a way. I mean, the Esper copies sold on eBay were bootlegs... copies of a bootleg anyway... but the MKII was a bootleg of a lossy based bootleg but it sounded good anyway. I hope the package is the original one. You might let us know when you receive them! :)
The Gongo had several re-presses... I knew someone that had a whole box of it and offered it to me for 50 euros at the time...
The 2019 edition is going to be like the one you already have most likely. The maker of that just made his mind not to share the lossless. Some has the true lossless... but they will not share it I'm afraid. I cannot tell about Reflection since I never saw it, but the same people had a care to share the whole project and that's where we got it from.
People avoid buying following titles - they are originally mp3 based:
1. so called Blade Runner Esper Mk II (and probably Mk III as well). These items are homemade fakes compiled from mp3s(!!) just for sake of making easy money on eBay (about 100 USD). They have nothing to do with genuine Esper group - the name is stolen and the whole thing is a sheer deception.

I've just met a guy who created the Esper MkII. His intentions were not to sell it - just to improve and share it with the other people. He even refused to share it on lossless sites.
He says: "I created the MK2 edition of Blade Runner in December 2004. I basically got a copy of the original Esper Edition and made it better by replacing some tracks that had sound effects on them with rare original studio vesions that I have. I did not release it on the site because it is not completely lossless. The rare tracks are MP3 256 kb/sec. As for the remaining tracks they are 320 KB/sec MP3s."
The whole MKII thing is a big misunderstanding. While he made it just for fun, some greedy bastardos just started selling it on ebay.
2. there is also another new release of Blade Runner called Radio 1 Hannover, Germany (promo only). It has been also compiled from mp3s, although it was apparently released on silver CD.
3. Blade Runner: Los Angeles, November 2019 is being shared on eMule as Monkey Audio files (lossless) but it actually comes from a lossy source.

The following archives: BR_full_tracks, Additional_Tracks, Forgotten_Tracks were the stuff the 2019 makers used for the release you shared a while ago. I was able to track down one of those... but not the others.
Regarding The Sound Of Blade Runner I'm starting getting confused at which is which...
I have gone through the messages on the Soundtrack group and gathered all the informations I could about the different editions, but could not get further the deleted links limit.
I do have something that you might not have and I am currently seeing for it.
The mixed first edition posted by Vincente that you were looking for a while ago I believe. I will be posting that in the next days anyway together with some of the Suites he made.
It seems that no one is bothering with the mp3 downloads so I'll stop posting them. Maybe I'll start my own blog to finish off the 2019 collection of Blade Runner related mp3s.
Then we will be following you there if needed... but this seems to be the right place to finish that off.
I can see the interest if fading away a bit... but that is part of the cycle... someone will eventually pick up were we leave... and from what we will leave them.

It's a bit changed compared to the day 5... and the day 8 version. I liked both of them and like this one as well... only thing I would take care of is lowering a couple of db from around 3:00 to 10:00 and adding 1 or 2 db from 15:00 to the end to make the listening more "fluid"...
Nice job as usual! A tracklist to it will be deeply appreciated! :)

If you don't we're not going to get it. And that's for sure. I know of many things that haven't leaked out to date including someone who made a personal copy of the original mix of the movie before proceeding to add the dubs in 2006.
But he does that for a living... so I understand that...

I trust you might still enjoy what we share here from time to time... and do backup your rare treasure before a sudden crash may even out the differences with the other iPod's/computer's around here please. :)

This stuff sounds very interesting and it would be a shame not to share it before it get lost. Now as you're not the original source, i really could understand you could not post it here but like DC said, too many BR Stuff has never leaked out and i don't think we will ever got a second chance to get them.
Moreover, these songs from Master Tapes were very hepfull for our Blade Runner - EMS recombination project...

Its not so much out of respect to a 'creator' as it is that these are from Vangelis's actual master tapes and he probably doesnt want something like that getting out ;)

Just out of curiosity, since there are plenty of tracks labeled as alternate versions, can you say if they are different in that they contain completely new compositions or are they simply mixed differently?

It seems you are not sharing as much as you are accusing him to do... neither I do recollect you having ever said thanks to the stuff we have been sharing because we are ruthless serial copyright violators according to your policy. Isn't that kind of life? It is not polite slagging other people off.
This is not a place for people to show off what they have. The whole point of this thread is something very different in case you never noticed after having said thanks a couple of hundred times (or four hundred times for what that matters).
The most sensible thing to do as vangelis fans is to stop begging those people, get our own businesses and support our own shares and we will be better off.
It was never thanks to them that we reached this place. Hope you all understand that.
Leeching may become quite a selfish thing to do if you cannot do better for the other leechers when it comes to your turn.

I actually have a list of scores that is titled "DO NOT SHARE" which I add to when someone shares something that he or she doesn't want getting around on the fileshare forums and blogs. But that is a personal choice and I don't expect everyone to subscribe to it.
But I must point out that I have never publicly posted a track list from one of the not to be shared scores or announced that I have it but cannot share it because there would be a good chance that it would start an argument which leads to flaming and then the thread gets locked.
Please lets not go down that road again.

A faithfull reworking of this classic and haunting track. This recording utilises Arturia CS-80 software versions of the original synthesisers used by Vangelis.
Live Lounge Lizard Rhodes played by Jim Peters.
Lead saxophone by Raphael Ravenscroft
Pads, strings and bass programming by GRICE and Duncan Chave.
An analogue to digital reconstruction of an iconic track: true to the original but with a renewed digital clarity.
One of the nicest versions I ever heard... It seems a nice present for Zhora's efforts so far. :)

Yes, the volumes flow better even if the previous version was still all right anyway... I noticed that you have used and discarted some tracks during the compiling (unless they were moved to other sections of the mix and I could not keep track of that)... a bonus disc thrown to include all the leftovers?
Also I would gladly welcome a double cd unmixed version if that is ok! ;)

On my side it is being as in the picture unfortunately... and even worst with other file hosters... but I'm guessing we're not going to be certain of anything from now on.
As a personal tip try not to use words that could be easily tracked resulting in the relative content being deleted by their search engine. Avoid descriptions. Encrypt the archives. They are currently making a mass cleaning of key words content in a desperate attempt to save their assets from the same things Megaupload was doing as a matter of fact.

"Futureworld" - inspired by the movie Blade-runner - was ahead of anything else in bank advertising at the time.
What a shame that the wonderful, nightmarish and prophetic vision of the future morphs into the mundane interior of a Barclays branch - and evaporates along with the dry ice that must have been one of the costliest elements of the production.
Still, it was a stunning piece of film that helped drive Barclays to the top of the spontaneous awareness league table at the time.

At least the next dumbest-on-earth-eBuyer bidding 400 bucks for a cdr will know what not to do this time.
The Sound Of Blade Runner was sold for 440 bucks... and that is really sad when we know where they got the files....
Hope they will be smart enough to use the search function on whatever search engine they will be using before doing anything silly this time.
I am pretty out of any social network otherwise we would have put that also on there...
