I ripped them in iTunes at mp3 320kb/s. Yes I realise they are dead links now. I have not unfortunately had the time to re-do all the uploads onto mediafire. If I ever do have the time and energy to do so, I will password protect, rename to unidentifiable zip folders and update the original forum posting. Thanks and all for asking nicely, though... -_- that really gives me so much motivation. </sarcasm>

impossible? i think is possible.

Because most of them are used character code BIG5 or GB2312. before you re-download them , edit cue file into proper universal character set.

to convert that to UTF-8, just used notepad++, make sure CUE file is encoded on ANSI to perform convert into proper character on your OS.

encoding > character sets > chinese > BIG5. if cue file show only weird character or only kanji character, that cue file using GBP2312 (if is from chinese website) or japanese character set (if is from japanese site). because most chinese people is using that character set.

after cue file show japanese character go to encoding > convert into UTF-8.

Possibly licensing and cost issues (&o). It might simply be easier/cheaper to make their own songs for the english dub since some jap songs use very well-known (and thus costly) artists. I've also herd that the M1 score was rewritten for the US because US audiences would "respond better" or something. M2 Jscore might be "too creepy" for US audiences with the choral stuff.

Game Freak have nothing to do with anime music.
The Pok�mon Company is what you mean.

I suppose they never want to release unreleased music from old music. Sad, but true. But music from Unova may will be release after the end of Best Wishes.

Music from movie (tracks 1-42) - Shinji Miyazaki (except track 1, it's Akifumi Tada's composition, also tracks 9 and 10 are rearrangements of games music, they are originally composed by Junichi Masuda and arranged by Shinji Miyazaki).
Music from short (tracks 43-58) - Minoru Maruo.

Name of short's score composer clarifies why it sucks in comparision to Meloetta's short music which was composed by Akifumi Tada :P

Flac's a file type, like mp3 or .wav. It's lossless (uncompressed) so as you said the file sizes are much larger than compressed mp3. The App Store has a few Flac players (but I only ever put my music onto my iPhone through iTunes sync so don't know how good they are).

m4a is have 2 type, on lossless and on lossy. is like wavpack, hybrid. because is container. + from alac is variable bitrate on lossless format. but is not recommend format.

lossless is compressed without loss quality, just remove silent (on human) part only. you can convert between lossless format without loss quality, like flac to wav or another format, it will kept the quality.
raw is uncompressed, wav is common format for that.

A lot of people in the film and tv thread prefer lossless. It's the highest quality available from the cd, so with good speakers, there should be a difference.

Did you know that the translator actually said 202, not 220?
But I think he was wrong too and retail and digital version of the album will have the same number of tracks.

Digital version will be released around the world on iTunes, but retail version will be release on 13th November only in Japan.
4CD, 212 tracks (more that previously Pok�mon soundtracks), over 3,5 hours of music, 28-page booklet with liner notes from Game Freak's sound team and some bonus tracks (probably arranged tracks, maybe with real instruments like those from Black/White album, give me it, Game Freak!). Finally music will be release in really uncompressed quality (official site says only about "higher quality than in-game", but it's obvious).

Also finally front cover art includes both Legendaries, not just one and wasn't drawn by Ken Sugimori.

Hi. I find it really irritating to pick through a Pok�mon soundtrack and update it with the proper English names. It takes far too long. I'm looking for the following:

- RSE Soundtrack with proper English names in tags (I have a torrent with this going, but it's mostly dead)
- RBY Soundtrack with proper English names in tags
- HGSS Soundtrack with proper English names in tags

Anybody willing to help me out with one or all of these? Tracks with Japanese/romanized tags are in high supply, but no one ever bothers to update their tags.

If you're looking for a utility to manage & edit tags, I use MP3tag. It can export tags to txt file, and import from txt file also (say from like, a website). It can also tag files based on filename, and change the filename based on tags. Regular expressions may help also, to clean up additional gunk that you get from websites.

I use MP3tag as well, and it was very useful for when I started collecting video game soundtracks, especially for Pokemon, as the information is usually in a different language, missing, or completely incorrect. However, as I am still relatively new to the program, there is still a lot I don't know about it. I am looking into a way to convert tags via list. The import/export .txt file function may prove to be useful.

Since noone here seems to have the requested albums I bought "The NaB's - Aoi Keiken", "Inuko Inuyama - Inu Caf�" and "Naomi Tamura - Anisong Best & Cover Song Album" for 117,95 $! So if anybody wants me to upload these, just tell me and I will do so as soon as the CDs arrive but I won't buy the "Rocket-dan Himitsu Teikoku"-CDs since I wouldn't be able to understand most of the content anyway and I don't want to pay another 121,715 $ for something I can't understand - that is just too expensive! Apart from that the "Rare Pilot" Volume is not even available on the online-shops, I think.

Oh, and for anyone who's interested, I had an (admittedly shabby) attempt at removing the vocals on the Uncut Story of Mewtwo's Origin. Mostly because I was after a clean version of Amber's short-and-sweet theme; but I only had a stereo mix from the DVD, not 5.1. Young Mewtwo's voice is echoing all over the place, haha, as is Amber's (that darn telepathic effect ruining my cheat method!). Maybe I should just email Manny Corallo asking him if there's any chance to purchase an mp3 of the clean original incidental music.

The butterfree sound effects were actually not a big deal to me. The voices and pokemon voices were only a major problem during the middle of the song since it tended to drown out a lot of the lyrics. If you want to give it another shot on recording, I'll leave that up to you.

Last but not least I have two unreleased pieces of music from the brandnew anime series "Pocket Monsters XY" for all of you! On top of that there are no sfx or annoying voices in both of them due to the fact that they were used as opening and ending for the first two XY episodes in Germany. The first one is an anime adaptation of the music that plays when you earned a gym badge. It is used as the new subtitle music:

You are terribly terribly wrong. I just tried playing the XY iTunes crap version with Quicktime Player, which is an Apple player after all, and still the quality sucks!!

Pokemon X/Y have amazing music. I can't wait for FLAC. I'll try and find it elsewhere and post it.

I'm pretty sure you already know this page (http://pokescans.tumblr.com/), but for those who don't, she uploads scans from time to time. Sure, they might not be in the best quality but beggars can't be chosers I guess. I'm more interested in the OST booklet, hopefully scans will appear soon.
