Hi.
I have now been a member here for a couple of months, during which I've been bewildered by the number of the rare soundtracks posted here each day. Yet, despite the mighty OST collection of few members, there are still several soundtracks missing that aren't available in any way. Jerry Lewis's masterpiece The Nutty Professor is one of those. There hasn't been an official score published, and nor there's proper unofficial version been made. I decided to fix this situation by sharing my own edit.
I emphasize this is not a real score, but only my personal DVD-rip for my own use. But since I was admired by the quality of the rip, I saw it as a great opportunity for culture to share the fruits of my labour.
Thanks to 5.1 Dolby Surround soundtrack I managed to remove all the noice and speech from the audio tracks, leaving only music. So basically this version includes every note that can be heard while watching the movie. Therefore it can be regarded as a complete score.
Some notes:
-Not all music has been composed by Walter Scharf. For instance, the music played during the Pit Purple scenes is assumably some 50/60's swing, played by unknown bands.
-I forgot to add "The" to the name of the soundtrack, hence it says only Nutty Professor without "the" in the Metadata.
-I had to manually remove some sound effects from the audio tracks, which had caused some slight transition issues in the audio. I couldn't make out how to fix it, but I stress it's only a minor problem and barely noticeable.
I regret to admit I was only a leecher here, until now. This is my first contribution to this awesome forum and its members. And I believe it won't be my last. ;)
Enjoy!
