My first upload to these forums hasn’t been immensely popular (although it should be!), so I thought I’d contribute something that ties in strongly to the usual theme ’round here. Behold…

FLYING OMELETTE’S FAVORITE 50 GAME ENDING SONGS

Don’t let the name deceive you, as this doesn’t consist of just fifty tracks. Included are not only their top 50 picks, but in some cases, more than one version of each (e.g., NES version, SNES version, PSX version, and so on). Furthermore, some of FO’s favorite non-ending songs from the same games were included.

Let me note, though, that this does NOT include every MP3 from FO’s site, which can be viewed here (http://www.flyingomelette.com/top50songs.html). This ONLY includes the "Top 50" tracks plus related favorites, along with just a couple of non-favorite exceptions. I may eventually upload the ones which didn’t make the "Top 50" in a RAR, but I currently am not very motivated to download those tracks. Later, perhaps. (And if you’re enough of a completist, you can get them from that site, anyway!)

This is an absolutely fantastic collection spanning a few generations of gaming (while consuming 249MBs), which I compiled into a RAR for your ease of downloading. All the files included herein are the cream of the crop. I also renamed all of the files, because their original filenames were short and not descriptive.

Enjoy!

Hey, thats a great idea! A lot of the most memorable gamemusic is from ending scenes. This surely will bring back some warm nostalgia to me… Many thanks for the work, I’m sure, this will please a lot of VGM enthusiasts. At least me 😉

oh man… the way you’ve labeled these tracks really sucks.

Do you mean the filenames, or the tags? I did rename all of the files, but the tags are as they originally were on FO’s site. I didn’t mess with those, considering that I wasn’t their creator.

The reason I changed the filenames was because those were absolutely horrible and nondescript.

Awesome collection! Usually it’s pretty hard to get a good compilation of the best, and so far this is quite nice.

Thanks a lot for the hard work.
