So I was wondering because we always get to see his name labeled in front of all the MGS games, as if he was actually the only person who worked on them. I understand the story on the series is quite complicated (perhaps too much), but how come other games such as FFVII or Xenogears, both with complicated plots as well, don't have that "A game by [whoever made the plot]" label?
Just wondering.

I think he came up with the MG concept, that;s why he goes first.

because otacon dies.
thats why.

seriously, he IS the creator of the series.
its normal that a MGS would have labeled "A KOJIMA GAME" all over it.
same with boktai.

the fact mikami didnt do it in RE when he had the chance doesnt mean he didnt want to do it :S

I stopped reading when it was said that FFVII had a complicated plot. No sense going further and risking seeing See Spot Run listed as great classical literature.

This is how a majority of his posts looks. You should probably get used to it because he will always post crap like this.

Fixed.

Also, I was extremely tempted to edit the original post to say that. I truly am a model of restraint and tolerance for the flaws of all people, even the most idiotic, as I have just shown.

To be on topic, why do you think he's arrogant just because he slaps his name on the game he created?

That's like calling every filmaker who's done that arrogant.

I suppose i should post on topic aswell. nsb raises a good point, (I know, i'm surprised aswell) saying that he's arrogant because he puts his name on the game is calling a lot of famous people arragant (Stephen King, Steven Spielberg etc.)

Prak

Harkus, you say those guys aren't arrogant? Very bad examples.

And anyway, there are a lot of developers who are more famous than Kojima who don't plaster their names all over everything they do. Look at Shigeru Miyamoto for a prime example. Also, you can scour the boxes for every Half-Life game, but you'll never find Gabe Newell's name scrawled on them.

On the other hand, you can find Richard Garriott's name plastered big and bold on anything he works on, and he's been noted as having a major case of "the galloping crazies." Tim Schafer also likes to put his name on stuff, and he can be quite a cunt, I'm given to understand.

It is a fact that there is a large amount of ego involved anytime someone plasters their name prominently on anything that was made by a large number of people.

Kojima didn't start doing it until MGS2 though. So at least he waited until it was a well received title before being overly proud of it.

And then there are people who don't put their name on everything they make, but still are egocentric douchebags!

Oh hello, Mister Itagaki! What a coincidence.

Arrogance has shit to do with it. Marketing, I'd guess. That motherfucker's name sells games.

A complex plot also has shit to do with it. Where did you get that notion?

Drama stirring is sad when it's so obvious. It's also obvious why Kojima gets the respect he does, and why he might be proud of himself because of it. Try again please.
