Mine broke today.
Have you ever had the problem with a normal controller, where the cursor on the screen just moves wildly without any input? Well, that's exactly what has happened to my Les Paul controller. It looks as if I am strumming at light-speed, and the only way to slow it down is to press the D-Pad to the side. Now I can't play the game. Bummer.
If it's not one thing, it's another. Just my luck!
Let me know if you've had similar problems and/or solutions to those problems.
which one is that one? since i'm an idiot with these things i reffer to them as "the controller that came with GH2" and the one that came with GH3. :p (ps2 on both types)
i think xbox users get diffrent ones. so yah. the gh2 one is red and is my favorite cause the fret buttons are softer. unlike the horrible wireless one that came with GH3 whose fret buttons are fucking hard as hell. if that one broke on me i wouldn't cared. i'd go buy another red one. :p
and i have no idea which guitar came with gh1. :p

I've never had a problem like that but...
I did recently sell my old PS2 and replace it with a modded Japanese system. Now, either my Gibson controller magically stopped working in the span of two days or it isn't compatible with my new system. Either way, no more make-pretend rocking for me. :P

Oh, I agree. The Gibson SG's were the best GH controllers released. Not only are the newer controllers buttons too firm but they moved the frets way too close together. That PS3 controller is carpal tunnel waiting to happen.

I'm actually satisfied with the 360 controller design, I think it makes it much easier to execute 'hammer-ons' and 'pull-offs'. Give me a year though, and yeah - I'll probably have carpal tunnel.
I managed to get a new one, so hopefully this one will last.
