Lately, I've been scouring the Interwebz for soundtracks. Specifically officially released soundtracks. Most recently I've been focused on finding as many of the Zelda albums as I could. It's been long and frustrating and time-wasting, and did I mention frustrating? But I beleive I've tracked down every last official Soundtrack release focused around the Legend of Zelda series, as well as their cover-art. So what does a man do with such a great treasure trove of information? He shares it!

Every RAR file below has some of the highest quality mp3's I could find, as well as coverart, rear-cover art, and quit often they'll also have additional jpegs such as trays, discs, booklets, etc. I've also included a text document with track listing and details on the album. For a lot of the Japan and German releases, theres also the track listing in the original language.

If theres anything missing, or you want to add extra info, please tell us. If you think I'm missing some soundtracks or albums, provide me with proof, such as the official coverart, and we'll see if we can track it down. And contrary to my own belief, I'm not perfect and could have and probably have done, some typos in this, so if you find any tell me!

Right now I'm just posting this, but depending on popularity and desire, I may go through later and add full track listing, average KBS, more pictures, etc.

In case you don't know if you have the album or not, I added information such as track numbers, length, size, etc so you can match it up before downloading.

The first volume of a 2 volume set, This Ocarina of Time soundtrack was released in Europe as part of a "Nintendo Sound Serie". It was a promotional item only. While Vol II is commonly known--The Last Tracks--Volume I is quite the rarity. Theres nothing too special about this first disc, besides slightly longer versions of songs than its Japanese counterpart, and its rarity. I really enjoy the expression and creativeness of the tracks names when translated from German to English.

Sound Collection / Melodies of Time
The next 3 songs are actually all the same album, however each one has its own cover-art, and release. Since all the songs were exactly the same for each album, the songs in the RAR files are exactly the same, with different ID3 tags, and album artwork. They have songs ranging from the first Zelda game, through the Wind Waker. These albums were released as a pre-cursor to the Wind Waker's release, with these songs acting as "teasers".

The very first Zelda Soundtrack created for CD. It is regarded by most as the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past soundtrack, but actually has a collection of both A Link to the Past, and the original Legend of Zelda songs. The first disc are arranged versions A Link to the Past songs, while the second disc is actual game music from both Legend of Zelda (1-10) and A Link to the Past (11-40). I'd really appreciate a high quality rip of the first disc if anyone has it!

First Soundtrack I can ever find, was a Vinyl disc containing the opening themes of Legend of Zelda and Nazo no Murasame Jo. It was re-released as a cassette. If anyone has more info on this, I would appreciate it.

Requests & Missing Items

There are a couple things I still need. First, the US coverart for Majora's Mask (same number of tracks as the Japanese one) and a second Majora's Mask (Coverart I've seen is all in English, I think its from NOA, and Nintendo Power, not 100% sure) it has 51 tracks, the last 13 of which are ocarina songs.

I also need the rear cover artwork for a few albums. Ocarina of Time Vol I (Europe) Sound Collection (blue one) and the back of the vinyl case for Legend of Zelda & Nazo no Murasame Jo Original Soundtrack Orchestra Version. Thanks for anyone who can provide them.

Also need the 3rd track for the Hyrule soundtrack. (EDIT: I've got it, now just need a higher quality rip of the album :-) Thanks QuagsireQing!)

Wow, I have to commend you on your massive amount of work and generosity in sharing these albums in this post. Well done!

In addition, a question: Does anyone here have a GOOD version of the "Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening" soundtrack? So far, i've only found a good version completely lacking song titles, a horrid recording (with interference in the songs) with great titles and 79 tracks, and an okay recording with only 32 tracks. Anyone have a GREAT release?

(and yes, i'm quite aware that there probably was never an official soundtrack release for this game)

Vesian, I have the same 79 file collection (mine apparantly has a few broken MP3s to boot) so sorry man. Guess I just took for granted that an original game boy game could only sound so good. While my post is only for official releases, I wouldn't mind people debating over and compiling the "best ofs" out of all the stuff out there!

Right, i had to answer this post since it's one of the rare interesting subject of this board..
But i have a lot to say and not only compliments.. but we'll start with those:

Congrats for findind nearly every official Zelda releases (and i can confirm all of the Zelda official release -or at least albums completely focused on Zelda- are here "but one").
I guess this have been time consuming, and i had to answer and give more informations on a post like this, and someone that tryed to please many poeple with a real search work.
And even if i already have all of these soundtracks, i downloaded them to check if anything was wrong.


Now into the remarks:

- Give credits please.. you did not mention where you got these soundtracks, and since i know some of the guys who ripped them, i have to mention them:

Some of these rare albums were ripped by french guys ( ben oui donc forcement je les connais! ), one of those is the owner of the well-know "Zelda-Quest" Website, and the other one is Kazia, who's a member of the IRC chan team #japan-music.
Finally i'll give credits for all of the "Sound Collection" albums that were ripped by Ninereeds from #GameMusic, and a few others soundtracks that have been ripped long time ago by #Gamemp3s.


- Few errors i found.. (in no particular order)

*The album "Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time Original Soundtrack Vol. I (Europe)" is not the good one, the track lengths of the rip does not correspond with the official ones, this album is a game rip in disguise.

*The album "Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time Original Soundtrack (Japan)", album is fine, but the covers are not, these are covers from one Bootleg [MICA-0062], the official catalog number is [PCCG-00475].

*The album "Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time Re-Arranged Soundtrack (Japan)", same thing here, the music is fine but the covers are not.. and once again they comes from a bootleg [GM-268], and the original catalog number is [TKCA-71824].

*The album "Legend of Zelda - Majora's Mask Original Soundtrack (Japan)", same thing here, the music is fine but the covers are not.. and once again they comes from a bootleg [A&G-168~169], alternate disks covers are from another bootleg [GM-323~324], and the original catalog number is [PICA-2006].

*The album "Legend of Zelda - Twilight Princess Official Soundtrack (Nintendo Power)(US)", this album is not really the "real" one.. since the album you provide is the copy of the Replica version + the good track 03 (check bitrates.. everything is 192 but track 03 is 256).
The music is still fine and you should not worry with it.. until you can't stand this kind of cheap montage like me.

*The Legend of Zelda - Sound Collection (Japan), this album should not exist, it's a Bootleg! It is identical to the other japanese album, and should be avoided since it presents no interest at all.

*The album "Legend of Zelda - Sound & Drama Soundtrack (Japan)", this album is fine.. but i just wanted to mention that the audio quality is crap, and this album really deserve a better encoding.

*The album "Zelda: Triforce Trilogy", this is a Doujin album by the well-known band Majical Trick Society (they did "CADENZA" and more..), the music is arranged by Jeet Singh and performed by Magical Trick Society, it was released the 23th of november 2005.
It's the most well-known doujin album, but certainly not the only one.


All the other soundtracks i do not mention are fine.

You said everything.. it's a rare vinyl release way back in 86 (catalog number [07FA-1085], and the cassette release is [10FC-8001]).

There is no US release for Majora's Mask.

You are missing the rarest album.. that i do not have myself, "The Legend Of Zelda ~ Twilight Princess - Sound & Visual CD".
This CD comes with the Japanese magazine "Nintendo Dream #. 136. I have the front cover but that's all..



Anyway, this post is really complete, you are of course missing more doujins but these are pretty obscure anyway.

The scans of the booklet pages ARE from the bootleg (when the catalog number wasn't the same as the one I had listed in the text file I was suspicious). besides the wrong number, are the actual pictures correct? Or is the whole thing a fabrication? They were the only scans I was able to find.

*cry* this was the hardest of all the CD's I had up to track down. Spent days alone searching this one down. I was hoping it was just a crummy rip with a few extra seconds of silence at the start or ends of songs. I've posted in these forums a few times asking after this CD, no one seems to have it. Now I'm starting to feel the weight of hopelessness darnit!

I guess I forgot to say, but the fan/doujin releases I was only adding them if I came across them. They're not "officially" actual official soundtracks from Nintendo, but they were real soundtracks, so I thought i'd add them since I had um. If anyones got more I'd like to hear them as well.

There is a US release of Majora's Mask.
One that I'm starting to beleive is a bootleg, because this is the only mention I've ever seen of it, is this one:

But there is a US release, through Nintendo Power, of the entire MM's soundtrack, with the same track listing as the one from Japan. Here's an e-bay from a friend of mine, who's very glad he didn't sell it to me cheap :)

This one I'm certain of, and I remember years ago when I saw it in Nintendo Power's catalogue and passed it up--been kicking myself ever since. All I need is a good scan of the artwork, and my friend doesn't have a scanner, and his camera is pretty much crap, all the pictures turn out a dark yellow even outside.

Sorry about the credits, I recognize most of who you mentioned from the id3tags, but I was trying out a new program to help me edit song info, instead of having to type each track number in song by song, and accidently cleared the information on half of them :(. After that I just cleared them all and started anew, because I couldn't remember where I got them all--hence why my tags all seem a little different from the ones you probably have. I'll have to get to making a credits section soon. I don't remember who did what, and I don't recognize all of those people (but some of the music was 2nd-hand download, so who knows where they got it from) so I'll just make a mass Kudo's section.

As for pictures for Bootlegs.. they generally try to copy as much as possible (if not 100%) the real booklet, they just add their own cat number replacing the real one.

Thanks for the artwork, I do have some of those, but I am missing most, and I can do a little creative photoshoping to blend the lower res pictures with the higher res pics with writing in the corners, such as the Melodies of Time. It's all on my to-do list, but it may be a little slow with college classes starting back up.

I was able to track down a rip that has about half the songs as 160 kbs quality for Sound & Drama. Its a minor difference, but the best I could find--web is flooded with the version I have listed above (128). Sadly though, the tags on these mp3s are nonexistant, and are pretty much just the file names listed as, for example "36thepriesttransformsintogannon" so it'll take me a little bit to get it ready for upload.

If anyone has a nicer version (256...320...?) please, stop me now!

EDIT: after a deeper examination, I've noticed I've only found a few nicer songs, so I may wait on such a minor change to see if I can ever dig up a truly nicer rip

Has all the songs in the game, all ripped straight from the game data, without any sound effects or annoying fade ins. The only problem is that it tends to be a bit low volume-wise, so you may wish to do something about that after downloading them, at least for your favourite songs.

it'll take me a while to compile these into nice bundles again, and a very long time to reup all of them. I'll try to get around to it though.

I fervently request that anyone who has better-quality rips of any of these to step forward. Most of them are of a fair quality or better, but a couple I would deeply appreciate having something better than 160kbs and would praise and laud anyone who had these discs and could rip a FLAC or other lossless format of them.

1) It seems that you uploaded CDs from Nintendo or other Labels. So it is likely that these are sometimes NOT the full Soundtracks of the game, isn't it?

The problem is that I forgot to add that Thread to my Favorites or save it in any other way. Only I wouldnt call Hyrule Symphony a "full deep orchestration", it's just a strings arrangement (with ocasionaly some solo instruments like piano, harp and ofcourse the ocarina).

The first volume of a 2 volume set, This Ocarina of Time soundtrack was released in Europe as part of a "Nintendo Sound Serie". It was a promotional item only. While Vol II is commonly known--The Last Tracks--Volume I is quite the rarity. Theres nothing too special about this first disc, besides slightly longer versions of songs than its Japanese counterpart, and its rarity. I really enjoy the expression and creativeness of the tracks names when translated from German to English.

Oh and on a side note, since there is alot of discussion about copyright/piracy lately.....the thing that got me into downloading in the first place was the shit going out of print or only available in Japan and I didn't feel like getting gutted on shipping ($60 for 1 CD!), besides the fact that alot of them were bootlegged OST's to begin with. This post is a perfect example, he's asking for something no longer available, nor was any effort made to make it available to us in the States. They might just be longer versions of what was on the Japanese version (Notice how the US version was just 35 tracks, of which only 29 were really tracks) but if "hey they are just longer versions anyway" is the argument, then why put them out on CD to begin with, hmmm? I know 99% of the current bullshit is centered around movie OST's right now, but people who want to ruin trading music with other people really aren't thinking it through, and are usually just leechers themselves anyway, who never give anything back. And if movie studios are so damn concerned about piracy, then they should stop fucking the consumers by releasing "Special Edition" "Collector's Edition" "Limited Edition" of everything. Release 1 version damn it. There's no excuse, you had all those commentaries done way back when you made the first disc, and now there's so much storage on one disc you can't even come up with enough shit to fill it up. Why do I have to by another blu-ray 6 months after the first to get deleted scenes and commentary? Why do I have to buy an extended 2 disc OST 6 months after the first release. And don't act like we can just wait to buy the newer edition, because you don't annouce it when you sell the first, and even if we did then you'd release the "Ultimate Edition" 3 months after that. And you can't keep busting box office records while at the same time saying piracy is hurting your bottom line, I mean if your gonna come up with bullshit, you could at least come up with something half-ass believable. You can't have it both ways. I've bought alot of CD's and DVD's BECAUSE I downloaded them first. So to all those out there that don't agree with trading, then don't. But don't go on some high minded crusade against people who do, when in the end you are defending people who wouldn't think twice about screwing you out of your money too.

I agree with what you said in your post... and it's funny because the video game industry is a culprit of this as well... with the recent new "Resident Evil 5: Director's Cut" coming out next year.

Yeah that brings to mind the Greatest Hits Version of Devil May Cry 3, and they had the balls to name it "Special Edition". So I buy the game the first time at $60 bucks and then you release that game PLUS a shitload of extras at $20 later. That seems fair. This guy buys everything for $20, but because I supported the makers of the game by paying full price at 3 times the cost to me, I get a big "Thank You" by having to pay $80 total for the same content?!?!? Release a patch or something assholes, I'd even pay for the shipping for you to send me a disc. And they wonder why people jail-break their shit. The reason I put Custom Firmware on my PSP was to play SNES roms because the battery ran out in the carts losing all my save games. That can't happen with the emulator and memory card. Cheers.

And I completely agree with you. I pretty much refuse to by "Special Editions" (or whatever else they may be called). Personally, I don't buy DVDs for the extras; all that I care about is the movie. But if a studio is going to release different, longer, or "better" cut of a movie, it should be announced from the outset.

As far as music is concerned, I pretty much only download what I cannot get at all (like the European version of the Ocarina of Time OST) or that I can't get without paying an obscene amount of money for (like "Zelda Sound and Drama"). I hope that sometime I can find the European version of the soundtrack for a fair price.

The European CD is not as complete as the American CD. However, the American CD does not loop most of the songs though. The European version does loop though.

There is a 6-disc(+1 bonus) version of the TP soundtrack with 226 tracks and all album/artist/track names on my computer. Just look up "twilight princess soundtrack 226" on google. I also saw a copy of it on this forums, the only hard part is finding a copy with album/artist/track names and other media info.

That 21-track Twilight Princess album was not actually an official album. It was a rip someone was passing off as an official release. You're better off without it.

I do believe you, but why does one of the tracks that I got from Nintendo's Twilight Princess official website say track 21? Do you think that maybe nintendo chose 21 songs to put on a CD, but ended up never making it? I honestly couldn't tell you what the deal with the track numbering on the official soundtracks is. That is kinda weird though.

Maybe they were going to release a 21-track soundtrack, but then pulled back and only released the two 5-6 track releases.

It is a shame that Nintendo didn't release a full soundtrack for that game. Huge mistake on their part.

There is a torrent on underground-gamer.com, but it is really hard to become a member there. However, it contains 2.91GB of official and legitimate copies of almost every zelda soundtrack. It only transfers on one tracker, and you have to be logged in to be able to start downloading it. I normally would keep this a secret, but I already downloaded it, plus, if you download 20 times what you upload, then after two months they will delete your account.

Hello everyone. I'm a new member and I just discover this forum. I'm looking for something very specific and I don't find it here. I'm looking for the music from the TV trailer of OCARINA OF TIME which was, at the time, composed by late film composer Basil Poledouris (Conan the Barbarian, Starship Troopers, Hunt for Red October...). This was a very short but great piece of music for choir and orchestra. If anyone can help me, thanks by advance.

But, the version that is in the debut Trailers of Ocarina of Time, Majora{s Mask, and Twilight Princess, was actually re'performed for the Zelda series, and I can't find that version anywhere(but I have found two others).



This is a completely different subject, but I have also noticed more info proving that arigeitsu159 was right about the Twilight Princess OST Vol. I not being real, because the tracks I have are not the same as the ones in the so-called official soundtrack(example: the track 21 I have is not the same as the Track 21 in that album). So it is probably one disc of a game rip.

EDIT: Why did I say that? It doesn't even look like any of the discs in the game-rips. Sorry, but I have no idea what it is.

Also, if anyone can find "The Legend Of Zelda ~ Twilight Princess - Sound & Visual CD" , that would be really great!

By the way, if you guys would select the little box beside "Encrypt Filenames" in WinRAR or WinZIP and also code the main file title, like instead of Zelda - Twilight Princess Original Soundtrack.rar you did ZTPOST.rar and also pass the file, they wouldn't get wipped from servers (yes I realize I didn't do that for this one or code the filename for the mario all-stars ost i just re-upped, but I'm just now getting back to where I upload stuff, so just listen. The main filename does not matter, if you have folders you want to protect the file structure for, there's an option for that too, but the servers like mega and rapid are being botted with word recognition and being opened, pass them, encrypt them, and code the main filename and they can't see the filenames in the rar unless they have the password. The final step is to use a site to upload to multiple sites automatically immediately after your single upload, an upload mirror site.......just saying, it'd be nice if ppl on here had a standard upload process rather than the files being wiped after just 3 days online. Wow, I thought this thread was going to die...(good thing it didn't) Anyways, I have some orchestrated Zelda music that I burned to a CD(all music that I or VGMDB is aware of) as well as the Fmicom Edition GSM vol. 10, and the 6-track Twilight Princess album.
Now, I can't seem to upload now due to this stupid router acting up. I've been very busy lately, but I'll be free all day on Saturday, so I promise I will upload them then.

Now, about the orchestrations... Many of them were ripped from videos because there were no decent recordings of them. They have not been trimmed or renamed in any way, sorry :( Also note that some of them may just be arrangements, as this was intended to be an unsorted folder full of random Zelda songs. They are in the highest quality available, though that quality isn't always as high as you might think it's going to be in the first place... again, I'm sorry... Zelda orchestrations are all I've been looking for lately(aside from orchestral Pokemon music from the anime, which is just as awesome), and I'll continue to look. If you're wondering where I got the Wind Waker orchestration, I got it from this Spanish online-radio site(I'll tell you if I remember the name). There are also some rips of Wii music in there,... I ripped those. I do have more, I just need to find them first. And if I remember correctly, Jakah, you already have Symphonic Legends, right?(because it is not included in there)

You should all look for Link's Awakening Arranged(Koji Kondo), and Link's Awakening Arrange Collection(DDBY), or ask me to upload them if you are interested(many people don't know they are two separate albums).In addition to that, there is Essence of Lime. I spend ALL(...well, almost all) of my time with the Zelda series, and am missing only a few Doujin songs. I have every version of every commercially released song that exists. My point: If there is ever any Zelda music you want, tell me and it's all yours. Sending me a PM will get my attention sooner, because I don't check this thread everyday(anymore) and I've been very busy lately, with things that are not related to the internet. And when you send me a PM, I will still post PM-requested links in this thread, so long as it is Zelda music. Pretty soon I'll probably upload my Wind Waker FLAC, since it seems to not be on the internet for some reason.

I hope there will be some form of a Skyward Sword soundtrack release, but whether there is an official one or not, I hope we get a really good rip of it (preferably from Prime Blue). Also, Ocarina of Time 3D's music sounds way better, in the parts where you can notice the difference.

Also, I forgot all about the FLAC version of the Wind Waker soundtrack. I'm sorry, but I'll get to it as soon as I can

I am finding the links to be dead since it has been some time since activity has been taken. Does anyone have any torrent files or know if these were ever put into the bit torrent cloud? That would be a pretty efficient way to go about this. But even that has it's faults.
