Hosoe is thinking on releasing an IBARA Arrange Album!!!
More info here (http://www.squareenixmusic.com/features/interviews/shinjihosoe.shtml)

Shinji is a lot of hit and miss with me, but I do enjoy some of his works quite well and I absolutely love Ibara's soundtrack. I'll be interested in what he has to offer on the Arrange album.

"The basic direction of the music is usually given by the clients. Speaking of Ibara, rock was not the genre that I was particularly good at. I tried my best to follow their expectations, but I am not so sure if I succeeded personally." -Shinji Hosoe

I have to comment on this.. Poor Shinji underrating his ability, or just being modest, but he definitely did a fine job with it. Maybe we can find a way to let him know and further that thought on the arrange album. XD

"RayStorm Tanz Mix" by Tamayo Kawamoto
256kbps CBR MP3

http://sharebee.com/65ae174a

___
This is not entirely the same as the RayStorm Neu Tanz Mix. This is the version of the Tanz Mix that is on the actual gamedisc. The differences are that this sounds a little different and the songs are cropped for the purpose of looping them as BGM.

The Neu Tanz mix is the full-featured version of this soundtrack, but I'm sure some people will take an interest in this. It didn't take long to make. The audio was digitally ripped from the gamedisc.

I wouldn't get that excited though - It's essentially the same as the first disc from the 2006 OST with two Black Label tracks replacing the voice tracks. The arrange soundtrack that plays during the 360 game is amazing though and far better than the 2006 versions. A real waste for them to give us what we already had four years ago instead of this incredible new stuff.

Einhander Remixes Album - Megaupload (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2POZOJU7)

Track listing here (http://www.octet.biz/octet/discography/osla0003.htm)

Ripped from videos, so the song names are sort of messed up. Quality is great, though. This is pretty hard to find outside of torrents, and I didn't see this listed here, so here you go. I'm a huge fan of the original game and OST and I think worth the effort. The music's alright overall, some of the remixes have a different feel from the original. The Madness arrangement is probably my favorite.

WOAAAAAAH!! thanx man!

by the way, have u ever heard of this cd??

Original Sound of Silpheed Synthesizer Grade Up Version (http://slightlydark.com/album.php?album_id=0ab4dc2c5f4a68c04f54656169cdab1 e)

Having just beat the original DOS version (finally went back to it after 20 years), I have become quite fond of this soundtrack. The end music kicks butt.

I enjoyed the links posted here to previous versions, both the Sega CD and PC Sound of Game Arts versions.

I searched quite a bit before I came across the Synthesizer Grade Up version, but here it is:
http://translate.google.com/translate?js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=1&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fnicosound.anyap.info%2Fsound%2Fsm68 78275&sl=ja&tl=en

Click on "Transfer to PC" to download.

It is 64kbps and the soundtrack is one continuous 20 minute file; however, beggars can't be choosers.

Enjoy!

With regard to the Dai Fukkatsu Black Label OST, the lossless version also has the errors that were pointed out above for the non-lossless version. I'm being told that the "errors" are intentional (i.e., part of the tracks), but I find that hard to believe. Does anyone know?

I reuploaded Rupert H's file; I was one of the first 10 to download the Rapidshare link. I understand he was having trouble uploading to other sites.

Rapidshare is a lousy host for uploading unless you have a Premium account; The file can only be downloaded 10 times, which is horrible for sharing files with a community.

The Do-Don-Pachi Dai-Fukkatsu Black Label O.S.T. is just "OK", it has some moments that the music gets good, then... meh, but it's alright. The 1st album has some really awesome songs like "Shadowing World (Stage4-Obverse) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcqtamIjJJc)" or that shit crazy true final boss song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYFmJxmMGYI).

Also, someone has that Album uploaded in this thread? I lose the music in my PC. :(

There are things like broken beats which are written into the song, but then there's a HUGE noticeable degradation in quality from the second half of track 5 and into the first part of track 6. EAC rip or not, it was probably done hastily in burst mode with no error-checking.

It's a beautiful soundtrack, by the way. The first CAVE work I've really enjoyed in some time, and I can't stop listening to "Presentiment".

Just in case you're subscribed to this thread and never check the lossless VGM thread (Thread 64743) (or haven't seen the dump thread (Thread 74501) I just started), here's a link to a FLAC encode of:

So, i need help here guys (and girls?). The thing is that i'm tagging the soundtracks of Gate of Thunder and Lords of Thunder, and i can't find the list of composers of these two games.

It seems that the music is made by a group called "T's Group" in other sites they call them "T's Music" and in YouTube there's a long series of videos about videogame music and what not, and the video of Gate of Thunder in the composers part says that the music is made by M. Takeda and K. Yamaoka.

And i'm like... "wat..." :I

it was exactly as I thought: whoever actually ripped this disc failed at it, because lossless doesn't really change anything!

Are you talking about DDP Black Label? Because yeah, there's a lot wrong with that rip. Along with the error distortion in tracks 5 and 6, the whole thing sounds like it had ReplayGain or some kind of volume-limiting applied while encoding. I hope it isn't a mastering problem on CAVE's part. If anyone ever gets the actual disc, please let us know how it sounds.

I've only noticed clipping errors on tracks 5 and 6, and I made an attempt to repair them. I used the "lossless" APE image as a source.

It's simple enough; all you would have to do is take the good part of the loop (the first half of track 5, the second half of track 6) and paste it over the faulty part. "Presentiment" fares very well, but because the distortion covers the clean intro of "Endorphin", about two seconds had to be sacrificed in order to get a new intro that sounds correct. I even kept the fade time on "Presentiment" in check with the real track.

All this does is fix the severe distortion at the end of track 5 and into track 6.
This DOES NOT fix the overall distortion present on the entire album. (Just to be clear, for people who gloss over tl;dr)

Here are some links. One in FLAC for those who downloaded the APE image, and another in V0 for those who downloaded the lossy version.

YET ANOTHER ALTERNATIVE:
320kbps CBR MP3 conversion for those who want it; FLAC's filesize can be cumbersome and the format may be impractical for some people.
Fair notice: the gapless playback isn't as solid as the FLAC audio. MP3s just aren't as versatile, being a lossy compression method.

Mostly Iam happy to see more people interested in the music of TechnoSoft and the masterful composers they had back in the day. In my humble opinion...the best VGM ever composed.

If the TF II files are the same as the TF IV files (they're the only ones I've downloaded), note that they are 24-bit FLAC files as opposed to the usual 16 bit. That's a lot more data to decode and convert when making MP3s.

Just checked this out. Looks like this is a different version from the last one uploaded. Less static in Endrophin, which means the other one was badly ripped. also this one contains small album arts.
Actually he just took the good part of the song and MADE IT BLEND. He's got skills but I can still tell it's the same crappy rip just from this song; the rest of the soundtrack still has all the problems.

Someone needs to BUY THIS and RE-RIP IT ENTIRELY.

Ok if I understand this correctly Soldier Force was released for the Windows PC 2006. It was a tribute to the Star Soldier series. As for the people who made it I'm sure you can guess, Hudson. But thing is I don't think it was released in the U.S. and looking at the Japanese cover it says Studio SeistA was the developers who made it.

Soldier Force is a doujin game from Studio SiestA, so it hasn't been released outside Japan. As it came out a few years ago it's pretty hard to find (I'm still after a proper copy of it myself). I'm not aware of a soundtrack CD for it.

If you're still looking for the game, I can probably help, let me check my other PC...

Boss 1 & 4 musics need to switch places. Other than that everything else is perfect.

Other than that, I'm wondering just how that music was ripped. The original Arcade game doesn't have a sound code debug (that I know of) and neither MAME nor M1 emulate the music properly.

Maybe the usual hard way of recording music.

04-24-2010, 06:46 PM
Ketsui 360 has been released and it came with this (http://vgmdb.net/album/17802). Would be appreciated if anyone could rip it.

(they looped the DOJ stage 4 theme?!)

There's still also this (http://vgmdb.net/album/17634) to be ripped.

Karakkaze
04-25-2010, 12:26 AM
Maybe the usual hard way of recording music.

That's pretty impossible given Solar Assault. Just recording from regular gameplay wouldn't work. Everything past the Konami logo & Player Select stuff would be pointless to clean up since there'd be sound effects in the way in each of the stages. The only thing I can guess is that someone modified the game boards themselves to play a different song on the volume check and then just recorded the output.

Quick question here for people who has already listened to alot of shump music. Anyone have an idea which of the soundtracks within this HUGE list is similar or have the same feeling as the psyvariar 2 soundtrack? Reason being is because Ive just listened to the soundtrack recently after randomly downloading it to try it out and I absolutely love it. I havent enjoyed a soundtrack like this in a long time...maybe it was because I didn't even know the game existed until now.

Any idea's people? (if this is off topic...my b)

No, the missed first CD (which has now been uploaded somewhere above) contains arranged tracks from Dai Ou Jou, which were available in the 360 port of the game.

No, the missed first CD (which has now been uploaded somewhere above) contains arranged tracks from Dai Ou Jou, which were available in the 360 port of the game.

I thought that the second CD contained the Dai Ou Jou stuff.

Yeah, my mistake. That's what happens when I post after 5 am. :\ Still though, the first CD contains a Ketsui arrange not available elsewhere.

Here's Guwange arranged soundtrack [only the arranged part though]; credits go to Ziggy from the Gamingforce forums.

Thanks for this. I thought we'd never get it.

you talk about the CD itself or a rip Rupert H ?

I've seen the CD come up a few times for huge amounts of money but I'd only pick it up if I could find a reasonably priced one.

In the mean time I'd definitely love a rip of the OST but I've only ever seen gamerips.

A nicer rip of Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu Black Label (http://www.4shared.com/file/coofIJM0/DDPDFKBL.html
).

Seems that the whole thing was recorded a bit loud as is, just turn down preamp dB and you'll be fine. Endorphin and Presentiment-A are both fixed here.

Thanks for checking Simon, but yeah, we're looking for the DonPachi OST.

Is anyone here a member of the Gamingforce forums and is willing to put in a request for the DonPachi OST there? By doing a search for it there, I see that several members do have it and have uploaded it in the past (all expired links by now). I thought about making a request myself and then forwarding the link for people here, but I don't have any posts on those forums, and it seems that the only people who make requests are active members. :\

Hey Simon ^_^ I played Raiden Fighters Aces for the 360 and I was like "OMG got to get the music for this!" I swiped Raiden Fighters Jet but I didn't see Raiden Fighters or Raiden Fighters 2: Operation Hell Dive o.o I never thought techno could sound this good... (BTW I recommend people play the Raiden Fighters series if you haven't.)

YES! Agreed! Also I didn't think the Aces version was arranged, but I might be wrong.

Death MK II

Raiden Fighters Aces is Raiden Fighters 1, 2 and Jet all 3 games in one game for the 360. As far as the tracks being arranged they are not. When Aces came out they kept to the original songs so Kitsunexus your right. Listening to both the Raiden Fighters Jet OST Simon has up, and the music from Raiden Fighters Jet in the remake of Raiden Fighters Aces. There the same but The soundtrack Simon has uploaded has a few tracks from Raiden Fighters 1 and 2 but there not complete. o.o

Kitsunexus I do suggest getting Raiden IV (its on exclusive to the 360) I reserved it when it came out and mines was the last copy o.o Came with the OST as well so I wish you good luck in finding a copy seeing how it's rare, I think. ^_^
