Uh oh... the most horrible anime series huh?
Powerpuff Girls Z. The end.
It's madly disappointing...
Don't get me wrong. I LOVE the original OLDER Powerpuff Girls series in Cartoon Network (even if it isn't anime...), and so I thought the anime version would be grand! but no... i HATE how they portrayed mojo jojo...
I like that anime! I actually like it better than the Cartoon Network version.

worst ne.....
Just like a mass majority of you, I have to vote Dragon Ball Z, and you guys took all the of reasons out from my mouth. *laughs* Hmm... And yes, Pokemon is really getting pointless and annoying, everything is repeated and the voice overing is getting very, very sloppy, both Japanese and English, it's like the voice actors got tired of the series and are half-assing every line on the script.

eureka seven's last two episode is kinda odd, but the rest is solid enough. and ragnarok is just average, but it could be worst(i have little expectation when i watch it).

Naruto saves itself when they pick a new leader(and a funny one at that.) Naruto really gets better in the 'filler episodes' when they focus on the various other characters. Yes, Hinata does get a chance to shine.
Season 10-Shippudden(sp?) is when everything changes, especially the characters. They are older and more mature(except Naruto of course). . .oh and before I forget. . .Kakashi's weakness in battle is finally revealed!
My pick for current crappy anime- Desert Punk. I don't know if its the bad English voice acting or the unneeded and unwelcome use of swearing.(I get enough of it in real life and don't want it in the shows I watch)

Regardless if you ever see this post, or not, I feel prompted to say this.
If you're referring to the 1960's version, then you must give the show the benefit of the doubt, seeing as the content for cartoons then was drastically different compared to now.
Also, being the first Anime that's responsible for popularizing Anime worldwide as we know of today, of course there's going to be hurdles to overcome, as it is for just about anything debuting for the first time.

Anyways, typically Naruto for its extensive flashbacks in the middle of action scenes. Sucks even more if you are watching the cut version in Germany where conversations don't make sense
Original: "HOW COULD YOU HAVE KILLED! I'M DYING AHHH" whatever
Cut: "I am beaten, ah! *instant next scene, bad guy laying on floor with no wounds or anything*"

Dragonball Z Prepares for torrent of flame posts
While there really are worse, what makes me hate DBZ is that they took a great show (Dragonball) and made it into this braindead mash of the exact same plot being repeated over and over.
I'm trying not to start flame wars or give trollers fodder. I'm just stating my honest opinion.
Note: I won't dignify any flames with a response.

Yu Gi Oh, its spin-off, Pokemon, Naruto (the 4kids version. It turned me off the series so badly I can't even try the subs...), and a lot of the shows on Funimation Channel are all bad.
Easily the most disappointing series, though, was Pilot Candidate. It looked like it should have been so good, and it has a cool concept, but the execution just sucked.

I know DBZ is really, really stupid, but I still can't hate it. It's what got me into anime, and the Frieza Saga is awesome, despite how incredibly slow-paced it is (it takes something like five episodes for Goku to make ONE attack), but it's still really fun.
And The World's Strongest was pretty damn cool, IMO.

Let's see...
Blood+, simply because it doesn't even have anything to do with the movie. It's just a filler. Not anything special to me. Saya is a weak character for more than half the series and she's not like she was in the movie.
Diva just...I like her. Not so much as I would like to. In all of the suckiness of the anime, Diva is my favorite character. Everyone else dies or disappears mysteriously.
Also, Riku is...ew.
A disgrace to all the other Riku characters out there.

I have, like, no posts here. I'm such a leach, but there isn't too much discussion type topics here. Anyway, I'm gonna give it to anything that is a copycat of yugioh, such as beyblades and all that other random garbage.
A few quick comments, though:
First off, Yugioh's season 0 or whatever you want to call it, the one that never got dubbed, is actually kinda interesting. (And so much more violent.)
And personally, I'm gonna say the first, and kinda second, season of pokemon is pretty decent, along with the first three movies (Well, the ending of the first one really annoyed me, but the first is actually kind of good. The 8th movie is actually pretty good, suprisingly. Otherwise, all the rest is garbage. (Well, fourth movie, I've seen argued, but it is, oddly, a Mononoke knock off)).
Oh, and I have to ask to the guy who was downing on Ouran way back, I'm hoping you just aren't fond of Shojo in general, because Ouran only falls behind FLCL, in my personal opinion. I hope that judgement was at least made after giving it a shot.

It would have to be the Naruto English Dub. I mean... When Gaara Kills Yashamaru... In the japanese version,he goes absolute ballistic. In the English version..well..lololol. Heres a summary.
Japanese Version:
Gaara: Ahhh! Ahhh! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
English Version:
Gaara:Oh No.Yashamaru.
Heres what should have followed in this instance.
Gaara:Oh no. yashamaru.
Yashamaru: Koff! Gack! Uggghh.... for f*cks sake Gaara..youve killed one of the only people that you actually give a rats ass about, and all you can come up with is a half assed mumble? Geez....F*ckin english dubbers...(Slumps dead)

A lot of animes that appeared on Fox kids back in the day weren't all they were hyped up to be, in fact TMNT beats the majority of them in the long run. Setting aside little kid Anime, I'm going with Naruto. Though Hana Kimi is a close second.
EDIT: TO Eire: NGE was an amazing anime, and you have no right to trash it, just because you couldnt 'get it'. Something isn't good because it's in-your-face, "Kawaii", or dramatic. It's good because its interesting, the characters are fully developed, and theres a sense of realism throughout. (These rules are only broken by Comedies, such as Excel Saga)

Animes that are there for nothing but fanservice rate much lower than DBZ/pokemon in my book. Having a lame "story" which only thinly veils the ridiculous amount of upskirts and cleavage size, may be a turn on for some but really gets old after about 5 minutes.

And vice-versa apparently. What's to hate about death note? It's like the opposite of every possible anime/manga cliche.
Main character is actually (arguably) evil, witty, manipulative and clever as opposed to the common determined, stubborn dumbass character who has this "power within" and needs a bunch of friends to help him figure out what the hell he's doing. The whole themes are about the questionable morals in our world and the whole idea of death note just screams originality. Each of his schemes is clever in it's own way and keeps showing his amazing intuitive thinking.
And as the cherry on top, people actually die in the story as opposed to being "defeated" and manage to live on by some arbitrary designation.

It's not ur typical slasher & blood & gore type of anime we all luv.
I can't stand Digimon, any Card capture game type anime & all the wannabe's.
One piece gets on my nerves every now & then.
There a lot of legitimate reasons to dislike Death Note. I, for one, cannot stand it because it started out really well, but the pace slowed to a crawl before long and was obviously drawn out as long as possible to milk the cash cow. The plot started getting repetitive long before the end, the new angles to explore the characters and scenario from dried up, and it was painful to watch by the time it finally wrapped up.

And let's not forget Fighting Foodons. Also, Naruto would be good if they found a way to make Naruto's voice actor not sound like Screech from Saved By The Bell meets Gilbert Gottfried meets Howard Dean meets a cat in heat. They also butchered Negima with having Negi sound like an 8 year old girl who was kicked in the groin.

DBZ is the worst show EVER. I mean I love the whole story and stuff but it takes like 10 friggen episodes for them to do a kame hame ha...
Move on.
I think thats the mark of a great show, that they can string u along and still get viewers who want to know what happens next.
Frustrating yes, but i wouldn't put it in the worst category.

Worst anime?
Zaion-Haven't seen it? Good.
Final Fantasy Unlimited-Til next time...bullshit.
X-The Movie-Fell asleep a million times...boring.
Tenchi in Tokyo-Horrible garbage.
Sakura Wars-Was I the only one wanting more action? I mean..those steambots most likely rusted from under use.
Mouse-Master? Sucked..just because of its hentai undertone.
Infinite Ryvius-What was this about?
Memories-BOOORIIINGGG
Millennium Actress-BOORRRIINNG..pretty bad when the highlight is supposedly its soundtrack.
Utena Movie-Put dvd in and saw it was different from series..took it out.

The Pokemon anime was pretty cool when it first aired, but later it went downhill.
Inuyasha was so bad it's good, but its fangirls write crap like "INUYASHA IS T3H BEST ANIME EVA!!!11!!" or... think of any stereotypical crap an Inuyasha fangirl would write.

Then you got the point, good sir. Of course, if you were "intellectual" enough you would have realized that you got the point, but I digress.
Now then...the worst anime? Well, I make a point of steering clear of bad anime, by letting anything filter through various forums, friends, and so on. The good stuff gets watched/ read. The bad stuff does not get looked at.
But the 2 worst that I've seen would have to be G Gundam (I do not accept it as a Gundam series) and Saikano. Now, I did read the entirety of the Saikano manga, and that was pretty good, if not extremely abstract, bizarre and depressing. But the setup still sucks. In the anime its worse. Shuji keeps neglecting and abusing Chise, and for some reason Chise is this huge killer machine thing that is never explained or rationalized, and Japan is caught in some ambiguous war fighting the French among other nations, evidently.
Some stories pull off leaving out huge details, adding an air of mysticism and mystery to the mix. Some of them, like Saikano just leave you going "WHAT IS GOING ON?" Too many questions are left unanswered, and I suspect this is due to lazy creativity. The guy wrote it when he was 15, and who knows if he ever properly developed it?
Anyway....yeah G Gundam and Saikano.

NICE! I thought I was the only one who saw this. I myself was reading the Manga, and it started off well enough, but then the cat and mouse game between Eye and the main character became boring and repetitive. I gave up on the Manga, and haven't even watched the Anime.

Warning, kinda long.
AKIRA
I’ve always heard how great this anime is so that I watched it when I had the opportunity. It was just blood, guts, and really boring.
What was the plot if Akira even about?
INUYASHA
While I LOVE Inuyasha, the anime just has too many filler episodes. Every time I watch my DVD’s, I want them to hurry up with the main story already.
DRAGON BALL/DBZ/GT
It has the same problem as Inuyasha. I like DB, but goodness, please move on with the plot.
And STOP blowing up the Earth (and various other planets) and wishing it back. Once was a powerful statement, twice was cool, but the third time tells me that you all ran out of ideas.
LOVELESS
Boring. Beautiful art. Breath taking art. But boring.
LOVE HINA
The manga is better to me than the anime.
TRINITY BLOOD
It sounds good, but I watched the first three episodes and I find it boring.
GHOST IN THE SHELL
Pointless violence and boring. The manga is better, but I’m not a yuri fan, so…
PETSHOP OF HORROR’S
I’ve very sad to put this on my list, but when compared to the books, the anime just doesn’t cut it. It only fallows four of the manga’s original chapters and only focuses on the side characters that have purchased pets rather than Leon and Count D. If the anime had been a blend of the horror, mystery, and comedy that the story was (rather than just horror and done as full length episodes rather than the various one minute snippets that they did) then it would have been a great anime.
DEATH NOTE
Again, I like this series, but the whole ‘he’s thinking what I’m thinking, so I got to do something else…but he’ll be expecting me to do that, so I have to stick with the plan…or is that just what he wants me to do? Then I should do something else…’ and so on made me stop watching the anime. I felt like my brain was going to explode.
Light, what ever you do…IT’S GOING TO MAKE YOU LOOK LIKE F-ING KIRA! SO JUST DO SOMETHING!!

CLAYMORE
An anime with an awesome idea and an excellent beginning that drifted away from plot into a common hack and slash of monsters. -__-
Not to mention that the only main male side character was completely helpless. Was this because the main character is a strong female? I dunno, but you think a character like him would get some damn character growth.
NARUTO
Boring.
BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE
The plot (whatever it was) was lost and it was the most boring vampire story ever. Blood+ is a good series though.
DIGIMON (past Tamers)
I really liked S1 and though it isn’t true to the reality set up in S1, I like S2 too (Gatomon and Myotismon <3). S3 was good, but it didn’t fall back on the reality that had been established, so I had a hard time accepting that. Past S3, I have watched very little and do not like.
POKEMON (past, I don’t know, a few seasons)
When they were actually fallowing a plot (the early episodes of Pokmon), the series was good. But, as a few have said, they just turned it into a milking industry.
POKEMON: THE FIRST MOVIE (Dubbed)
This movie was great…until the end. All the ‘brotherly love’ crap. -__-
MEW MEW POWER
No. Shoot it. Kill it. It is NOT Tokyo Mew Mew. It sucks.
Make it DIE.
NEON GENESIS EVANGELION
Boring. What’s the plot? What’s the point? We need a better explanation. And yes, I did watch the majority of it before I got really bored and went off to play Silent Hill 2 and other fun things.
All the comedy AMV’s for it are great though.
YUGIOH CLONES/DUBBED
They all need to die in my eyes. If it’s not Yugi playing Wizards and Magic against an enemy, then it’s just a copy that’s trying to cash in with generic crap.
The Heart of the Card’s thing wouldn’t be so bad if they didn’t drive it down the viewer’s throat. And if, you know, YuGiOh was a show for children and not high schoolers.
I’ll probably think of more later.

pfff,
let's see
EXCEL SAGA:
the one series that I just couldn't keep watching it.
it feels like some experimental thing that tries to blow your brain and rly make you nuts, anyone that could ever marathon this series is or absolutely crazy or deserves fricking loads of respect for being so strong willed
MOUSE:
got not much to say about it, it just sucks. it's kinda unpleasant ecchi
the genre is described as adventure, comedy & ecchi, but the first 2 are rather invisible and as I said the ecchi wasn't that pleasant
MEDABOTS/BEYBLADE/DIGIMON:
put these 3 together since they're all about bad for the same reason.
they're attempts for mass young public and kinda trying to follow pokmon,
but pokmon had more to offer than this(kinda gives you and idea doesn't it?)
NEON GENESIS EVANGELION:
it's not that bad, but far from as good as it's popularity would make it seem.
I just couldn't stand watching the original ending, never totally finished that
and the other ending didn't make that much sense either.
the series before its ending was better, but not that special if you ask me

I can't rly have an honest opinion about GitS, since I've only watched the first episode, but I must say I wasn't that fond of it either
but he has a weird taste and only simple logic imo, mostly it's just him saying it's boring or the manga was better. and like wth, digimon was good while death note wasn't, come on, think it was indeed your brain about to explode cause it couldn't take some intelligence.

Also, it is fanservice you twit, any anime or manga that shows nudity but is not a hentai is fucking fanservice. Or Ecchi as it's also known as. And Elfen Lied is considered an Ecchi.
I partly agree with the nudity, as there are many scenes where nudity is simply not needed.
But, nudity does have a connection with the story. A diclonious can use any object in their surrounding as a weapon. This is the reason why they are locked in rooms completely nude, which is, for me, a fair reason for most of the nudity expressed in the series.

I think your post are quite funny. Never have I encountered a so-called Anime fan who gets very offended at seeing a naked Anime character, and completely dismisses a show because of it. Oh, and any Anime that shows a naked scene isn't considered Fanservice or Ecchi. That only applies to shows that have a foundation in it.
Ranma 1/2 series isn't fanservice. However the second movie "Nihao my Concubine" is considered fanservice, because of how the female characters including female Ranma is drawn.
Love Hina, Najica Blitz Tactics, Blue Seed second OVA, Desert Punk, Aika, Eiken, and others also fit.
Eva is not considered fanservice. Neither is Tenchi Muyo, Ghost in the Shell, Inyuasha, Kenshin, an many others that might include a Nude scene or two. Shows that use nudity to make a point doesn't qualify.
Just because a Anime shows a nudity scene doesn't make the entire movie or series fanservice.

Naruto/Inuyasha/Mar/Hitman Reborn/generic shounen anime
It's just boring. I just don't know what these authors are thinking. Don't they see that everybody else is doing it, the typical characters and dragging story? Don't they want to make something different from others? Don't they want to make something that stands out? I just don't get what these people are thinking.
Prince of Tennis
It's like Dragonball Tennis version. They could make WWIII with tennis. And it's been going on for way too fucking long. And all those kids who throw fireballs or nuclear bombs in a single tennis shot are middle school kids. This should have been an SF series with half the length.
Elfen Lied
Really annoying storyline and characters in general. Actually, the characters seemed to have some sort of chance at the beginning, but no. Unnecessary and cliched violence (I hate any lolis who giggle at the sight of blood and gore, just way too fucking annoying, and no there's nothing psychological trauma related to this, just pure annoyance) Only thing good about this tragedy is probably the soundtrack.
Evangelion
I don't see any appeal in character who sulks for the entire series because his father didn't love him and because he realizes that he's a complete loser. I don't see any appeal in an autistic albino girl either, but Rei's hot so I guess it has its attractions. But it's just too overrated. There's nothing philosophical about a kid in puberty realizing that his father doesn't love him because he's a loser. Dostoevsky made a beautiful philosophy out of that, not Evangelion.
Digimon/Pokemon/Yu-gi-oh
I thought making that Pokemon anime would result in economic loss for Satoshi Tajiri because no one would watch it anymore.
Oh yeah, and any anime/manga that uses English/German/French/Italian/Russian/foreign langauge other than Japanese because it sounds cool and ignores grammar should die.

Alright enough of this absurd bullshit, Tenchi is a Harem show for godsakes. Also, I said this before. You are missing the fucking point completely. I HAVE SEEN EVERY LAST SHITTY EPISODE OF ELFEN SHIT. I am not offended by the obvious fanservice, yes, it is fanservice, stop diverging from the fucking topic. I only compare EVA with Elfen Lied because OF THE EXTREMELY PRETENTIOUS, OVER THE TOP MELODRAMA STORY! GET THAT THROUGH YOUR THICK FUCKING SKULL.
You're just being a troll (or an idiot) and dragging into unrelated examples now, yes we are talking about fanservice, but it is mostly about Elfen Lied. Stop derailing from the point, and lets talk about Elfen Lied. Now tell me. WHY DO YOU THINK IT IS GOOD! DON'T BE VAGUE TOO ASSHOLE! Also, explain how the nudity is inherent to the plot. EXPLAIN THE PART WHERE KOUTA IS TRYING TO DRESS LUCY/NYUU UP! THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO REASON FOR THAT BESIDES FILLER!

Now this isn't a debate on whether Evangelion is a good anime or not, because I feel that that part is completely up to you. And to say you cant see the philosophical reference is just astounding
1)Evangelion comes from the root Evangelic (
http://dictionary.reference.com/search?r=2&q=evangelic). So off the bat you know you are talking Christianity.
2) The name of the Antagonists are "Angels". The fact that Angels are trying to destroy them and they are killing Angels is a obvious, yet pointless, philosophical reference.
3)The fact that the first "Angel" was name "Adam"
4)The fact that they were using "Eves" cells to kill Adam. Which basically means that eve is responsible for Adams death.
There are more but I haven't watched the show in a while.

I am not offended by the obvious fanservice, yes, it is fanservice, stop diverging from the fucking topic.
How the hell does a really lazy, boring, pretentious fanservice anime end up being good?
did you miss the obvious titflashing, and nakedchicks?
I only compare EVA with Elfen Lied because OF THE EXTREMELY PRETENTIOUS, OVER THE TOP MELODRAMA STORY! GET THAT THROUGH YOUR THICK FUCKING SKULL.
You call it pretentious, I call it tragic. I'm sure I made that point clear.
DON'T BE VAGUE TOO ASSHOLE!Also, explain how the nudity is inherent to the plot. EXPLAIN THE PART WHERE KOUTA IS TRYING TO DRESS LUCY/NYUU UP! THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO REASON FOR THAT BESIDES FILLER!
Now, tell me once more. How is this anime good?
Already explained myself about how nudity is viewed in Japan and why I like the story.
I'll stop being a troll now. A word of advice. Stick to "Ed, Edd, and Eddy" or the "Powerpuff Girls". You're obviously not ready for Anime.

Choke on a cock. I don't care about how nudity is viewed in Japan, I've watched plenty of better anime than Elfen Lied, and alot of it that has shown nudity. Just not as much as Elfen Lied. Your definition of tragedy is flawed. I define Kaiji tragic because of the amount of grief the main character goes throughto find success, but also deal with a remarkable amount of turmoil along the way. NANA is tragic for the relationships the characters experience. Souten no Ken, and Hokuto no Ken are equally tragic because they both involve revenge. What you've failed to do is describe to me, how YOU find Elfen Lied's story line tragic. You're diverging from the point by ignoring my questions, and then insulting my knowledge in anime. Which is should not have done, because you're only encouraging wrath and carnage. So, stop it. Answer my question.

Fine. Here's the reason why I like Elfen Lied. I personally think the story is a sad one. A girl is turned into a murderous military weapon. She manages to break free, but has the mind of a child. She needs to be constantly taken care of. (which explains the one nudity scene you mentioned) At the same time, the main male character slowly uncovers his past and discovers that him and the girl had a past friendship that ended tragically. I won't go into EVA, because that's really pointless. I don't think the drama was over done, nor do I think the nudity too much. Like GIS, once a show becomes hugely popular, people are quick to call it overrated. In my opinion excellent shows like EVA, EL, and GIS are not overrated or pretentious. There you have it.

Iyu Yasha - After watching a few episodes, it didn't seem really interesting. Boring. Never got what the hype was.
Naruto - I'm not saying its all bad but it does get annoying to hear it at school constantly. It's uber instanity!

Well, might aswell end this. Firstly, if you're going to defend something, go into detail. That's clearly what you're not doing when you say: "I don't think the drama was over done..." Secondly, you say that; in your opinion, you don't find "excellent" shows like Neon Genesis Evangelion, Elfen Lied, and Ghost in the Shell overrated, or pretentious... do you NEED a dictionary? Actually, I'll give you the defintions myself.
1. Overrated: To overestimate the merits of; rate too highly.
2. Pretentious: Claiming or demanding a position of distinction or merit, especially when unjustified.
Which is why your opinion is flawed. The majority of people think that EL, EVA, and GitS are overrated and pretentious, is likely, because they are overrated or pretentious. They know what the fuck they're talking about, and you clearly don't. EVA not overrated or pretentious? COME THE FUCK ON! You know how many people like that show despite it's terrible ending? ALOT! Plus, it's themes deal with religion, insecurity, love, and death.... combine all those together and you got a pretentious fuckload on your hands. Now, since were talking about Elfen Lied i'll day this, it is pretentious and overrated. Plus, there is still, no denying from any party (even from supporters) that Elfen Lied is loaded with gratuitous nudity.
Now that you know, I see no reason to continue. Kindly accept these conditions. That Elfen Lied is overrated, and pretentious regardless of your opinion, and that it is filled with gratuitous nudity. I will have no more bullshit from you trying to defend an anime you like, get over it. People hate it, and probably plently of other anime you like. It doesn't matter, because, apparently, the majority still likes it. As long as you're educated about it further a moral victory will suffice.

Naruto- It was great at first, but just fall out of it once, and you're not going to have a clue of what's going on, nor are you going to have interest. But this truth goes for just about any anime, especially in this generation...
One Piece- after being raped in the ass with the infamous 4Kids dub, and not having the show or channel to watch it on when i moved to my apartment for college... Honestly, YOU CAN SEE WHERE I AM GOING WITH THIS. It's the same feelings expressed here, just as much as Naruto, IF NOT MORE.
Inyuyasha- It's not bad- ass kicking fights make this a sure enough hit... Maybe. But you can easily fall out of it thanks to he shitty love story plots and the fact that, like Naruto, the story just builds up and crashes WAY TOO FAST, thanks to the fights that occur constantly.
In fact, this is what Iraq would be like with ancient demons and ninjas and samurai running around- honorable, yes (NO GUNS TO MAKE IT EASY), BUT REPETITIVE.
Sad I say this. The fights are the only thing that keep me going. They're fast, simple, and precise in their purpose and nature, intended by the characters.
Major battle last 3 eps at the highest- but then it's just back to the pointless building up toward a climax and shitty love tales for 200+ episodes- IT'S BORING!!! I'd rather watch Hannah Montana then put myself through such meaninglessness (AND I HATE DISNEY FOR MAKING THAT BITCH AND ANYONE LIKE HER A STAR CHILD, TO GO OFF SUBJECT ABOUT IT...)

Ghost in The Shell- Stand Alone Complex- It doesen't suck. It's just TOO DAMN HARD TO UNDERSTAND. It's like living in the Matrix, coming out of it, learning your destiny, but still not knowing what to do at the end of the day because you decided to sleep through it rather than deal with this bullshit.
I mean, the concept of a crime-busting sqaud in a new world order future earth at war with itself and its premise sounds cool- in practice theory. In execution, it cna be a huge mess if not done properly.
This show did this right- BUT CAN YOU HANDLE NOT HAVING A CLUE OF WHAT THE SHIT IS GOING HERE??? You'd have to be a fantard to enjoy this in full... I could say more, but I feel like I'm living in the Matrix trying to find a job as a chef and paying high-ass gas prices myself. ANARCHY IN THE U.S.!!!

Atomic Betty-I know. This isn't even anime, but I feel it was inspired by it. I also feel i gotta say something about this. Why?? TOO MUCH FANSERVICE. Accompany that with the fact that the whole teen angst/family life and school problems thing doesen't mix with alien space battles and defending the universe from the forces or evil, AND YOU'LL SEE WHAT I MEAN.
My real beef with this piece of shit show- 2.
1. It got Duck Dodgers on Cartoon Network cancelled when it premiered. Duck Dodgers may have been dumb, but it was a good kind of dumb- as in HILARIOUS. The kind of thing you should want in a good anime, if not American cartoon. Accompany that with action packed sequences that fit just fine and a healthy character cast and storylines to be reckoned with, and BAM- GOOD SHOW, GOOD TIMES.
You don't get any of that with Atomic Betty. All you et from this is an assinine school and family life story you care less about, and a secret life that just doesen't work for the main character, due to its poor execution, crappy storylines, plots, and action sequences that only encourage that this piece was mde for fan-service, A.K.A. Spongebob Squarepants and My Gym Partner's A monkey are more tolerable and competent than this piece of shit excuse for anime-inspired bullshit ever will be...

I could also go on t othe Hentai craze this shitty show causes, especially with Betty, her mom, and her rival, but I'm going to avoid at the risk of losing my mind and my 3 daily meals, as a result of vomiting in disgust and out of anger...

The entire Dragonball series (especially DBZ). Boring, reptitive, terrible storylines and characters.
The Gundam franchise. Boring and annoying as hell to watch. Consistently recycling storylines/characters/robots and churning mediocre series one after another. I'll admit that the only series I liked from them were War in the Pocket and 8th MS team. However, the endings for those series were a HUGE letdown.
Nearly all the anime that's currently being aired on TV (except Macross Plus that's currently aired on the Scifi channel).

I was going to say InuYasha, but I personally don't think it's that terrible, I think some of it is okay. It's just its mainstream fanbase doesn't help.
As far as Pokemon goes, well I originally liked it, but then it became a slap in the face when it was realized that becoming a Pokemon Master doesn't seem to involve catching all the Pokemon anymore. Well in the anime that is. I mean can we actually see anyone catching Mew or Mewtwo?

When I watched the first two episodes of Cowboy Bebop (back when I was a member of an anime club in high school), I, too, disliked it and felt that it was boring. But a few years later, I watched it again and I thought it was one of the greatest animes of all time.
First impressions (sometimes second or third) of anime (and real life stuff) aren't usually accurate.....for me at least. Maybe you'll like it (or not), if you watch it again. =)
However, this doesn't apply to the MS Gundam franchise. I hate it with a passion and I hope it dies in a fire! >:O :notgood:

The absolute worst anime I have ever seen I ZOIDS: NEW CENTURY.
There was absolutely no Character Development whatsoever, the storyline was contrived and repetitive, ad nauseum.
Whereas its predecessor ZOIDS: CHAOTIC CENTURY was a marvelous series back in its day, as it dealt with so many pivotal issues which were worked in around the typical struggle between the forces of good and evil for control, not only that the Characters themselves had so much depth comparatively.
Anyone who says Dragon Ball Z for this topic needs to understand, that the reason the power-ups and fights went for a dramatically long time is because it was in production as the same time as the manga, so in order to continue with the story they would have to stretch it out (add filler), until there was more main story to add.
From what I can understand based on articles and news reports that I have read, the entire Garlic Jr. Saga was put in as filler because Akira Toriyama had not completed the Trunks & Androids story arcs in the manga.

I can slightly understand that ghost in the shell thing
I can't really have an honest opinion about GitS, since I've only watched the first episode, but I must say I wasn't that fond of it either
but he has a weird taste and only simple logic imo, mostly it's just him saying it's boring or the manga was better. and like with, Digimon was good while death note wasn't, come on, think it was indeed your brain about to explode cause it couldn't take some intelligence.
it's normal for people not to like everything, but it's like he's picking out all the different types he could
I have weird taste? XD And sorry, but I'm a girl. I know it's freakin' hard to tell on the internet, but I'm nitpicky.
Simple logic? I was trying to keep it to the point. I didn't say Death Note was bad, I like DN, but the whole thing made my head hurt as they bounced back and forth with the mind games. I was also recalling all the anime I have seen, or have been made to watch, which is a variety of anime. This is also a thread for what anime’s we consider the worst, and I have taken the time to actually state why I do not like these series or why I do not like parts of a series.
And to not cause a flame war, I'll ignore your ignorant statement at the end there and even correct your spelling errors and move on with the rest of what I wanted to say.
And yes, to the person who asked, I do like anime. A lot of anime as a mater of fact. Hellsing, Inuyasha, FMA, Cowboy Bebop, Digimon, Pokemon, YuGiOh, Tenshi Muyo, Howl’s Moving Castle, Millennium Actresses, Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo, Angel Sanctuary, Perfect Blue (also made my head hurt. Take aspirin when you watch it), Bubble Gum Crisis: Tokyo 2040, Descendants of Darkness, Serial Experiments Lain, Boogie Pop Phantom, That one movie about three homeless people taking care of a baby, Read Or Die, Spiral, Case Closed, Vandread, Blood+, Ronin Warriors, Sailor Moon, Fruits Basket, Fake, Silent Mobius, Voltron and a few more.
the guy who came here did one post on what he didnt like and left, he must just like naruto cos he didnt say anything about that lol
If you mean me, it was basicly because I forgot about this forum. XD Woops!

Any more questions from anyone else?

Shit is shit, regardless of the reason for it being shit. You fail for being a shit excuse for an apologist for a shit show.
Learn a broader vocabulary than the word SHIT & I might consider your perspective.
Until then try and provide constructive criticism.

I hope I'll not have any enemies after saying that... But I really really hate Vampire Knight. I watched the first six episodes and then HAD to cancel it because it was more than stupid. >.<
Every episode was like that:

Zero: Ooooh, Yuki!

I'm a fan of the manga, but I certainly see where you're coming from in that they kinda ruined the anime. They added useless foreshadowing and then rushed forward at all the wrong parts, completely destroying the flow of the series...

I suppose I should've read the manga, too. But I thought it would be the same to watch the anime. I heard many times that the manga is better. Perhaps I'll read it someday. ^^

Ok I'm kind of coming in late and responding to everyone on the first page but here goes.
To Everyone says they hate: DBZ, Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Card Captor Sakura, Sailor Moon, etc.
I'm sure that you weren't saying that 10 years ago. These series all had probably at one point made an impact on your view of anime. Of course it all depends how old you were 10 years ago, if you were to jump into these series at an older age, you obviously wouldn't have seen an interest in the first place, but assuming that most of you should be near my age group. 16-22. I grew up with these series as Saturday Morning Cartoons, dubbed none-the-less, but still entertaining.
But before you cut me off and say "LOL U LIEK POKEMANZ". Of course most of the series including Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Digimon have all ran their existence straight into a pile of sh*t. The sequel series have lack of originality, contain uninteresting new main characters, reuse plot lines, and just ruin what you were introduced to.
For Example the new Pokemon Series since Indigo League, have replaced the the co-cast, original voice actors (at least in english), and they reuse the same formula OVER AND OVER again. Walk around helping random people with some pokemon involved then eventually get a gym badge. Pokemon has gotten really bad, but you can't call the first series, an atrocity, it just started and was developing itself.
I personally liked Indigo Leage, the first Yu-Gi-Oh! series ( I watched the SUBS, there a lot better, the american version was brutally butchered), and the first 3 series of Digimon. However I can never go back into them as they are uninteresting at this point.
Anyway the anime I'm really hating right now are Bleach and NARUTO. OMG YES I WENT THERE. You people complain about DBZ, but your watching the same show in these series. Ok well not exactly, their is the of course all of the Japanese humor, excellent coloring and animation, and some interesting characters. However the animation companies are serializing the hell out of these series. Look at the first naruto series, in order to wait for Shippuden they just kept making pointless filler episodes, 200 OF THEM. Bleach has Ichigo becoming goku, just getting more powerful whenever the hell he feels like. (Also this really freaking bothers me, anyone notice for no random reason at all, ALL of the BLEACH CHARACTERS CAN FLY NOW. WHEN THE HELL WAS THIS DECIDED? And why is that if they get knocked back while in the air, they crouch and use the air to stop themselves. THAT DOESN'T EVEN PHYSICALLY MAKE SENSE, DBZ didn't even do that.)
The main story isn't bad for these series, however the animation companies are just serializing the series by adding new characters, uninteresting sub plots, and stretching every arc to encompass 100's of episodes. It's annoying.

Not to mention the Frieza battle went on far too long in my book. But the Buu saga was worth watching a little bit because Videl is my favorite female character on the show, and the Gohan highschool thing was pretty neat.
Death Note lost me after the cat and mouse game between Kira and L began. It was getting too tedious.

Pokemon: When I was in middle school, I was more into the Gameboy game than the actual show.
DBZ: I liked it at first, but the ridiculously long battles and excessive banter between the adversaries bogged down the pacing.

Mm, can I throw anything that 4Kids has gotten their hands on into the pile of "worst anime ever?"
I kid, but only barely.
Anime titles are bolded for convenience.
Anyway, worst English-dub animes I've seen:
Pokemon. Admittedly I liked the first season or so, and I still do. I get a laugh out of seeing Satoshi written on Ash's sleeping bag in Ep. 3 (or was it 4?) I never had the opportunity to watch the Johto arcs, and when I started to see it again, they were in Hoenn. From there, up to right before the DPP season, I say this: for a teen, BAD. For its intended audience, it could be better. It needs a tad more plot and continuity (and less non-canon stuff) to be watchable for me. Remember, kids become trainers at 10. TEN. Keep that number in mind before you bash it too hard.
So I guess I should revise this to "Pokemon Seasons 3 through 9." I went back and watched episodes from each season. Same bad plot of "become a master," same bad voice acting (no, wait; it got worse) and same, horrible, awful FILLER. I know that the game's story doesn't give them much to work off of, but the show is now roughly 50% filler, isn't it?
OH AND LET'S NOT FORGET THE MOVIES. *cringe* I love the first two movies. They may not have been canon (though weirdly the first is canon to one of the episodes) but they were good. (Actually, I think the first one WAS canon to the games, but just barely.) But, you see, once you start making movies, you can't stop. Now we have...Legend of the Unknown Tower (which was decent, I guess), 4Ever (bad), Heroes (bad), Jirachi: Wishmaker (haven't seen, but looks painfully non-canon), Destiny Deoxys (haven't seen, actually looks to be decent), Mew and the Wave-Guiding Hero: Lucario (I've seen some bad artwork in this one, and it has a weak storyline), Ranger and the Prince of the Sea: Manaphy (saw part of it, it was painfully slow-paced with poor animation techniques mixed in), and...Rise of Darkrai (which I haven't seen but looks lackluster.) Oh, let's throw Giratina and the Bouquet of the Sky: Sheimi on top, which just looks like a way to market Sheimi to the Japanese, and there's a rumor that Darkrai and Sheimi's movies are part of a little PLOT TRILOGY, to be concluded in something like Diaruga v. Parukia v. Giratina v. Aruseus or something like that. This ALONE puts Pokemon WAY WAY down my list.
DragonBall GT. Notice that I didn't put DBZ? I don't even really count DBZ among anime anymore. DBGT has to be some of the worst DragonBall I've EVER watched. To me (I watched all but the Cell arc for DBZ) it didn't fit the feel of the DragonBall universe. The pacing was horrible for one, and the characters were so lackluster. I forced myself to watch all of GT. I wish I hadn't.
One Piece. I have a lot of respect for Oda Eiichiro. He has created an utterly massive universe of characters for the manga, which I like (though it is confusing at times.) The anime is actually quite enjoyable...IN JAPAN. But of course it was doomed the moment 4Kids got their hands on it. They haven't, as far as I know, done a single anime right. Yes, there are the themes of friendship and what-not in One Piece, but THEY ARE NOT THE FOCUS OF EVERY FREAKING ARC. Voice acting was unbearable and the "kid-friendly" changes make me sick. (Stop and think for a moment. One Piece is like any other manga in that its intended age target is...what, 14 and over? Something HAS to go wrong if you try to pull in the 10-13 crowd.)
Now, for the worst animes I've EVER seen, including Japan:
Naruto. I'm REALLY sorry, but I can't watch it in Japanese OR English anymore. So much non-canon material, lousy artwork on the fight scenes, lackluster voicing talent...and catchphrases. "Believe it!" is horrid enough, I admit it. But when you have people shouting "KAWAII" and "DESU" everywhere like they think they're Japanese, it makes "-TTE BAYO" that much worse. (To say it in another light, Naruto sets the standard for weeaboos everywhere by making it okay to tag on Japanese half-phrases where unneeded.) I have a good deal of respect for the manga, but the anime is quite honestly a waste of television.
Yu-Gi-Oh. I...I don't even want to go there, really. I can't watch it in English or Japanese. Voice acting is horrible. The plot is just bad...not even remotely exciting. Seriously, if you read the first 7 volumes (I think that's right) of Yu-Gi-Oh, you get a VERY different impression of the series. To be perfectly honest, the whole thing (manga and anime) was ruined by the introduction of cards. I think this series could have really taken off otherwise. But it's doomed to the rubbish pile now. Only good thing to be said for it is that it makes for a hilarious Abridged series. I enjoy the Egyptian arc...but only in the manga. I enjoy a few small parts of the Domino City arc...in the manga. I enjoy THE FIRST SEVEN VOLUMES BECAUSE IT'S NOT ABOUT THE HEART OF THE CARDS. Worst kid-friendly cop-out ever.
(I almost added Bleach to this list, but...when I think back to the manga, it was REALLY dull until you got a few volumes in, and it picked up a great storyline.)

Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Yes, you read that right. A bunch of pseudophilosophical twaddle couched in a thin veneer of underage sexual tension, with not a single likable character in the cast. He who isn't a whinging little twerp is a complete jagoff, or in some cases, barely has any characterization at all. Can't seem to decide if it wants to be comedy, action or drama, and succeeds at none of them in the process. It has some nice mech designs, but that's the best thing that can be said about it. It's a collection of dressed-up cliches at best, and anyone who classifies it as "one of the greatest anime titles of all time" is wrong and deserves to be hit in the face repeatedly with a crowbar made of broken glass.
You know it's true, and that you won't change my mind. Any leaping to the defense of this turd will only be taken as admittance that said leaper is simply afraid that I'm right.

I hope no one gets hurt with this, but samurai X... I mean, I say is a horrible anime because kenshin himself is just pretty much invincible. I mean, we got this guy who can kill everyone and anything, and nothing ever happens to him, while at the same time everyone else sucks at fighting. wow this was actually one of my favorite animes... considering I'm not too much into the newer animes (after the year 1999 and so on, different style of drawings, CG whatever is called)... but I do understand to a certain extent why you probably didn't liked it... I mean it could have been more better, since it got sort of repetitive, the same thing, robin hunts down a witch, and then concrete but slow paced information, not to say the show was short and it ends up in the beginning of the series ehhhhh -_-. I think the worst anime series are Lucky Star, Naruto, and Kamen no Maid Guy. I'm not the kind of person who just needlessly bashes popular shows, though; I'm very fond of some very popular anime series. Here are my reasons.
Lucky Star: Too predictable; characters are flat and uninteresting. You know them all after the first episode. Jokes are often the same.
Naruto: Too predictable; too unbalanced. Some of the fights make no sense and the main character is a one-trick pony.
Kamen no Maid Guy: Perverse humor is fine, but not when it completely cancels out the plot and makes you hate all of the characters.

Agreed on that one- these shows are overrated,- so for me to talk about them would be a waste of time- In this sea of madness, oyu've cleared it up quite well- I'll have to try harder and participate more myself.

More than 30 eps or more than 25 percent of eps needless fillers....and the series will prob suck.
Case and point, Bleach/Naruto

i watched samurai champloo back when it was broadcasted here in mexico.
the series was decent to bad.
and then i saw the final episode.
i could not believe how unhumanly bad it was, so i decided to sail the internet in search of the series, then downloaded the last episode to see if it was censored or edited in any way.
to my horror, the episode was the same, with the same horrible ending.
to me, the ending killed the whole point of the anime: the intended massively epic fight to the death of the two male protagonists, while fuu was watching, but instead THEY PART WAYS WITH JUST A GOODBYE???

1) Everyone is entitled to their opinion no matter how unfathomably wrong it may be.
2)The fact that they don't kill each other is character development, you know... the thing good stories have. If you want to watch a straight fighter anime with no progressing of the characters stick with DBZ.
3) You just gave the whole ending away, we have a spoiler tag

I actually have some more amines I don't like much:
Crayon Shin-Chan: It’s trying to be like Our Simpson’s and Family Guy- only they take the comedy these shows base themselves around MUCH TOO FAR TO BE ACCEPTABLE.
Accompany that with the fact that I hate the main character (because he's a bigger ASSHOLE than Maggie of The Buzz on Maggie (another insult to Disney’s once great legacy, BTW, for anyone who cars, just don’t dig it up (or worse, Bessie from the epic failure that is Nickelodeon’s most obviously lazy-ass effort covering up for their abusive whoring out of Spongebob, The Mighty B! ))) Along with his whole family, who are just plain incomparable to anyone in real life and NOT FUCKING FUNNY, and you can see where I'm going with this shit. Phew!
Lazy American efforts like The Buzz on Maggie and the Mighty B! WHICH I LOATHE, are no exception to this lack of character development and lack of funny material/storyline/plot to make a comedy cartoon/teen angst cartoon. Just like those two cartoons that are, THANK GOD, IN HELL NOW, this should be, too- it's uninmaginitive, ugly, stupid, and it could just maker anyone like myself, who watches it again WANT TO FUCKING DIE!!!
If I ever needed to recommend shows like The Simpsons, The Boondocks, Family Guy, American Dad, and Robot Chicken (Despite some of these shows being completely overrated by fan boys DESPITE MY HONEST RESPECT FOR THEM), THIS IS IT. I MEAN IT- SHIN-CHAN WILL MAKE YOU WANT TO KILL YOURSELF, ESPECIALLY ANY OF THE LATESET EPS OUT ON ADULT SWIM.

Bleach- I don't hate this show, I justly hate the fan base. Accompany that with the fact that this is show is and resembles shit ONE HAS ALREADY SEEN IN cough*DRAGONBALL Z/Tough* or cough*NARUTOcough* (Sorry, just thinking about these two shows, ever liking anything about them or the thought f ever wanting to watch these shows gives me a super-cold), and ANYONE WHO KNOWS 2+2=4 can see where this show is going as well.
One more thing: Is it just my good vision, or is Bleach NOT something one would think about when talking about a show about samurai from some Japanese interpretation of Valhalla who fight demons who escape their watch and sometimes swordfight with each other, only unlike Valhalla, if the loser dies, he/she is gone for good?! HELL NO!!! If you're smart, you’re thinking about what to wash and not wash with bleach...
Bleach, in short, would've made a great name for a show about the daily lives of random people who walk into Laundromats around town, people who tend to them/ keep them in good repair , and people who have conversations about their daily life or the news/make friends/ have good or bad relationships and argue amongst themselves/ Gossip of ANY KIND... Within them.
Bleach should be a show about life inside a laundromat and the peole who either work or utilize them. They wouldn't be the same characters all the time, either. How's that for thinking outside the box aof a better show idea for a show named Bleach.
Anyone could say my idea sounds lame, but until anyone can sit through a diliuted version of Valhalla that tries and fully rips off Dragonball Z and Naruto with unnecessary fighting and characters that you wouldn't want to connect with (I can understand Ichigo's kind of an asshole because his mom died and his dad is a deadbeat bastard, but anyone could connect with him if they've been through the smae or something similar), and you can see where I'm hopefully and honestly coming from with shit like this...
But, hey- maybe you anime geeks are still going to me, "What could be any worse?"
Hold that- there are a lot more shows worse than this out there from Japan or my US Soil, but come on...Grow up- it's just more of the same.

If there's anything I missed with either show I'm talking about here, let me know. however, I've got better things to do than rant- that's why I have a remote and better shows to find and watch...

I wouldn't say that Death Note sucks, however it is just your opinion, but I can see why many people dislike Dragon Ball Z. In truth I like some Saga's of Dragon Ball Z, but out of all the Anime's I do not have one which I think is bad.

Sure material for your 18+ Visual Novel but failed translation to Anime not to mention the bad ending leaves a pretty bitter taste to the bud.

Eiken.
Ecchi and big tits are nice and all but...what were the producers smoking to think that making an anime out of it was a brilliant idea?
Not only that, but the original manga was unappealing, too.

Meh, I liked the third and fourth seasons of Digimon, they were darker and a lot deeper than the childish first two. Even though the "leaders" were goggle-headed *insert-profanity-here*. Personally, I liked Blood+, I liked how even though it had hardly anything to do with the movie, it strayed away from typical vampires because I'm an open vampire hater (werewolves all the way!) and I just love Diva. I've always loved sociopath characters.
I've absolutely despised Trigun for a number of years now. I don't know why, there's just something about it that infuriates me to no end. I used to like DBZ, but not anymore. I mean, come on! Frieza laid a bomb within Namek that was supposed to be detonated five minutes after and it took them, like, twelve episodes to get it done! And Bleach is just an abomination. The only reason it has a huge fanbase is because the girl's tits make DDD-cups look nonexistant, which gets boring after the first episode.

Evangelion was a boring piece of tripe that only gained prominence because it got here early and had massive amounts of hype because of the really absurd religious angle that fanboys people swallowed hook line and sinker. I won't even get into the terrible voice acting. (ps - this board totally needs strikethrough).
