Azkhan, version of the song was never on the OST...the version I put on rapidshare is a rip from the dvd and I tried removing the voices, but it's the best version you'll probably find at this time

I'm very happy about that, but at the same time just a little bit disappointed, cause 2 of my favorite song are missing:

It's not the same theme.. they are 2 very different tracks so you can't call them the same... I've got the Flute song, Hadou ( original ), and the Hadou you put up and all 3 tracks are very different.

It's simple. You have such program as winRAR, don't you? Just open the file using this program and right click on the folder that will show up, and choose ''Extract to a specified folder''. Then choose the place on your hdd where you want to have it and it will be there, with songs ready to enjoy. ;p

I was wondering, since I've only sifted through the last couple of pages........so there's no hope of finding clear versions of the unreleased tracks???

The one track whose clean version (or at least the cleanest version able to be recorded from the show) that I've wanted for years is the theme which plays at the beginning of every episode, during the previous episode's re-cap. So wonderful and peaceful. There's two versions of that, the long version which is about 25 sec. long, and a short version which is like 10-15 sec long. As brief as it its, I REALLY like that song!

Sorry, I've been gone for a long time people...I've decided to lump together a few parts that weren't on the OST. In this zip file is the Ken Escape scene, the Ryu vs Ken Hadou fight, two versions of the old man healing hadou style(I wanted to rip this both ways to see if there was any difference, I couldn't really tell if there was, but I figured just to put them both up anyway), andI also put up the same old man theme when Dhalsim was talking. I did my best to remove the voices/other sound effects, it's not 100% but its worth the download.

Well I am looking for all the music that didn't make it onto the
Street Fighter II V - Original Soundtrack (TOCT-9195). Ive been working on removing the dialogue from the 2nd episode with a software and its a near success.You can barely hear the voices. I'm no expert but if I tinker with it I may be able to completely get rid of the voices.

Time really has passed by since then. I still remember searching for the ost through these forums and registering just so i could get the hadou flute version. Yet 4 years has passed and still nothing :( The best ive witnessed has been a few good rips from the dvds with voice extractions with a few hiss. Aside from that, a good remix by symphonicmind. Alas i will always try to keep this thread alive with anything new i find..... Still though, my search allowed me to find these forums, and these forums has been one of my favorite sites of all time for its abundance in music.

Disregard that last post guys, I backtracked the kid's posts and found out he got what he wanted after all.

it is too sad that exactly my two favourite tracks are missing in this score:

1. the track playing after ryu receives the damo-scroll from Yo, and leaves the tea-shop, showed sitting in a cab, olding that scroll and pondering. I think it is played only there, being a one shot in contrast to other songs, which apear more often.

2. the typical chinese, quiet fiddle song, playing for example when Yo demonstrates hadoken to ryu for the first time in his tea-shop, or also after Ryu shot his first hadoken into the wave, faints, wakes up during the night at the beach and retries.

I guess no ideas anyone? well, I just had to ask :)

Hi ChazA4, wow, I didn't even know someone had a ripping-from-DVD project running! Success would be... splendid!
And it isn't that unlikely, because I was there back in the days when "it all started" and the complete score was ripped from the Animated Movie DVD by a guy ("Mr. Polite", the legend) at the IMDB forums.

We were pondering of a way how get this score, and since I just got my new DVD then, I suggested something: You can switch between the language (audio) any time, but there will be no "break" in the music, meaning that somewhere on that disc the bgm must be contained seperately, with just the respective dub being placed over it. You know what I mean? Mr Polite could explain it much better, and furthermore he could even make something real out of that:

"Hi everyone! With the help of marioxb, I was able to rip the 5.1 soundtrack from each specific channel of the new DVD (English side). Doing this, I am now able to create any of the other themes from the movie you guys have so often asked for. Now, they won't be as perfect as the Ryu Theme I did a few months ago, but they're very good, and they're the best we're going to get before Cory Lerios sends the real score to our friend" [he's talking about me here ^^... and he is too modest, the songs - as you probably know, because there is no other version floating around the web than his one - are of great quality]

"Basically, I just used the center right and center left speakers to create the stereo audio. From these, I can get a perfect copy of the music straight from the movie. There's no loud sound effects, and no voices whatsoever. What you hear during most of the tracks I'm going to upload is the music playing loudly, with some quieter sound effects in the background. The sound effects don't distract much from the music. Some of the themes will have no sound effects at all, and be pure music. It all depends on how they did the DVD."

So, if it was possible for the Animated Movie, it should be possible also for the V series, except if 5.1 was a necessary feature and V would lack that . But this, I don't know. Just my 5 cent - I encourage you guys to keep it up!

I almost had an heart attack when I came up with that website in 2006, like 4 years ago.
Even Ghost In The Shell Stand Alone Complex the person who ripped the missing tracks, it ripped perfectly no audio sfx or voices.

I just have one complain about the Imdb guys. They ripped most of the songs, but when i saw the movie right next, there were 3 tracks missing at least... they are not alternate versions of others, they are new... like the song played on KEN VS BISON, the battle on Bison's Airship. :/

Its been 4 years and I still haven't gotten my hands on the hadou flute... At this point, I don't think i'm ever going to get it.....

Well, if we just had a real instruction of the ripping method, I would do it myself. I have the V series on DVD, with Japanese and English dub, so the tracks we long for are just there. It's a shame...

Yeah, hadou flute is great. I also like the theme when Ken is chasing the guy after he put drugs in Ryu's bag at the airport (it only appeared twice in the whole series).

yeah, ur right. You know what's really weird. Well, there are some tracks that appeared on the show and weren't released. But also there are some tracks that DIDN'T appear on the show but they WERE RELEASED (check the album for songs 3,4,5,6 and 9)! Why didn't they just put the unreleased ones instead of the unused ones? I mean it's weird.

I still love to hear both cds, my I'm pissed that some cool tracks were not in the series. I kept on imagine battles with those new catchy tunes on the soundtracks.
Usually the the logic answer for this is thatthey are "Image Tracks" inspired by the anime by the composers. Sometimes they compose some tracks that see it fitt on the anime, but later he thinks not, or just some cue they compose to release later on cd soundtrack.

And I believe track no. 15 also didn't appear on the show. So we have 6 unused tracks in the album! Just imagine that instead of those they put the unreleased ones. I know that there are a lot more than 6 unreleased songs but it still would be great. I don't care for the unused ones. Why should I care for something that I didn't even hear before in the series?

I'm inclined to disagree with you on track 6, tronk. I seriously think that DID play somewhere in the series(would watch it right now, but my fiancee is bugging me to watch Toy Story 3, so it'll have to wait). Granted, the whole song might not have played, but I think at least snippets of it played while Ken and Ryu were in India seeking guidance and training from Dhalsim.

Still, your points are still valid...why SHOULD we care about unused tracks? Vidya games are a different story(I think it's kinda cool to hear boss themes that never were), but for anime? Shouldn't be done.

Track 11, I think it just appeared once. On the first episodes before Chun Li apearances.
Track 4 it appears but way far on the episodes but it's used on "the stupidity" of zangief, like track 12 (I love that track XD)
Track 6 wasn't in the forst episode when ryu goesout of the japan, saying goodbye to the girl?

ChazA4, hmmm, perhaps you mean the second half of track 16? It was played when Ryu and Ken saw that ''hospital'' of a woman doctor who helped the poor and sick. It was before they got to Dhalsim but the same episode. It was 16, not 6.

btw, my favourite unreleased track is the sort of Chinese style music which is played when Ryu is first introduced to KI by the old master. I love it! And just how many variations of the Hadou Theme there are? I thought it was only two (the released slow one and the unreleased flute fast one). You're saying there are more?

tronk, we share the same favourite: I also want the ancient chinese fiddle song so bad. I call it Master Jo's Theme :) Apart from that, a few scenes after its first appearance in the tea shop, Ryu is shown leaving Jo's place, sitting in a cab with the scroll in his hands, pondering. the song playing there is my second most wanted track. do you know it? as far as I know, it plays only in this single scene, to appear never again in the series. it's weird. there are one-time wonders like this, whereas other songs are completely overused, appearing all the time. I wonder about the concept behind this... if there was any :)

Yeah, I like that one, too. But my favourite is Master Jo's theme. My second favourite is the track I gave with that link from youtube. Be sure to check it out! It's a variation of Vega theme which is awesome itself. My number three would be the song which plays during the first half of the fight between Ryu and Guile in episode 2. It also appears when Ryu and Ken are fighting the military at the end of episode 1. Do you know it? BUT, my absolute best from all Street Fighter 2v is among the released ones. It's track 2. What's your favourite track from the entire soundtrack (from both unreleased and released)?

The pure awesomeness begins exactly at 6:31. The theme also appears when Master Dhalsim tells them about Hadou I believe. However, the Theme of Master Jo is a good name for it, 'caus it mostly appears in this episode (3 times?)

Only now I noticed the greatness of The Ancient Scroll Theme. It's so mystical and yet so soothing ( I don't know if that makes any sense to you). It's really good.

Mystical and soothing is indeed an adequate expression. And about that other fighting theme, man, I completely forgot about that one. Relasing an incomplete score is simply the worst Capcom could do to us (...well... ok... releasing nothing at all would have been even worse).
Thinking about what was achieved with the Animated Movie score, these tracks seem so close to get. I wonder if we'll obtain them somewhen as well. Hope dies last.

It's in the latest download file kazary, along with everything(well...I'm pretty SURE everything) else that was compiled together. IceBladey got some leads on trying to rip music from the DVDs, so he promised that after his RL becomes less hectic, he'll get around to ripping the music tracks we've been salivating over.

Let me emphasize however, DON'T bug him about it...it'll be done when it's done! We've all shown tremendous patience up to this point, just show a little bit more, please.:)

Funny you should mention that first link, that song originated and was ripped by one of the fellow members on this site ^_^ He also happened to rip another clearer version of it. But i think the links don't work anymore since they were posted OVER a year and a half ago

I'm back and finally took a close look at the link provided by one of you guys and my DVD box. I'm afraid we have a problem. The ripping of the SF2 Animated Movie tracks pretty much without voices only worked due to one fact: the DVD is in 5.1 surround, and there are some channels that focus more on voices and other channels (center left and right, if I remember correctly) that focus more on the music. So all the imdb guys did was selecting and ripping only those last mentioned channels, and tadaa, an almost clean score. However, my SF 2 V's DVDs (official DVD box) are only in stereo, not 5.1 plus I have never heard of a 5.1 release and doubt there exists one. So there are no different channels at all, and we can rip nothing more from the dvd (audiowise) than the "regular" audio, complete with voices, like a direct recording.
So the only way to get the lost tracks is trying to use one of those widespread "voice-removing-from-any-audio"-softwares around. I have absolutely no experience with that, but I did some research and learned that these programms are mostly crap and don't keep what they promise. If anybody here happens to know a GOOD programm (preferably free) and can recommend it for this purpose, we all would be thankful for that hint. I would try it then and see what happens. The good news is that at least two lost tracks (master jo and ancient scroll theme) are almost without sfx, it's only voices spoiling the tracks, which COULD make it easier for such a programm to deliver proper results.

Thoughts anyone?

I was hopping the dvds had the same proper channels as the movie dvd release. :/
A program that cleans voices sounds very fishy to me, since if you have to do it manually with mouse and clicking to delete "voice tempos" you will be deleting also the "tempos" of the music itself. I have to do that when I'm composing on the electronic keyboard. Of course I know this is a diferent software.
I don't think we are that evolved in the world to see a program that divides sound like in "CSI" XDXDXD.
I have seen somewhere someone that low down the voices channels and upped the soundtrack channels. I saw that years ago, and I can't recall how he did it. With this at least, the soundtrack would be very Audiable (apart of hearing some ants on the background).

You could try to find a program (if it exist.. like CSI : XDXD) that devides audio channels. That is still very complicated for me to understand how it works....:/
If I find some usefull help I'l let you know about it everyone

I think I get the idea of what you're talking about morrigan, and I believe it was used on the SF movie(specifically, the track Dramatic Fight, which is when Bison shows up to own everyone, and then subsequently GET owned by Ryu and Ken). But as IceBladey pointed out, it may require being in that 5.1 format.X(

I'll poke around myself for stuff...I have some EXTREMELY tech-geek friends who constantly show me stuff that you'd only see on Tron or in Iron Man, so maybe they can provide a clue or two. If I come across something, I'll let you know.

I myself have gone into trying to clean up voice audio. Free programs only do so much, all it basically does is use sample HZ off of a specific sample, and the program tries to remove any HZ that is the same or of higher or lower volume to the said sample. With that in mind, using voice removing programs would only remove the voices to SOME EXTENT. The poster even said that himself. That there was only so much a free program could do. Sadly he never said which one he used, nor can I recall his username. It should still be within this topic, among the thousand replies :X. However, I can only hope that a program thats a buy only can do a better job, which I'm sure it can. My current software editing program that I use is called WavePad, which is an AMAZING free program. Again its free so its voice removing can't compare to one that is bought. The only thing that could probably shed some hope is the different languages the series has come out in. The hadou flute sounded much clearer in say the Portuguese version instead of the english if I remember right. I was going to tell the person who originally cleared up the audio to try doing it on the ones with different languages. Then this forum went down for a bit and things went a little edgy from there.

Now as a side note, there are several songs who's links went bad after time, including a techno version of the non flute hadou theme. ^_^

The youtube user who posted that 99% clean version of the hadou theme (flute) has replied that he didn't clean it up himself, but downloaded it somewhere. So there are no details to get from him, which is bad as this version is cleaned up perfectly. So, while we seem to be stuck now, I would like to share this version with you. Do you know it?

I'm new to this topic, and I don't even know if someone is still interested, but I guess you can give it a try using DVD audio extractor (just download the demo from their website), select, fiddle with the options if necessary (very simple program, actually) and be sure to tick the "save each chapter as a separate file (easier to work this way). then for the next part, download Audacity, free and rather efficient, and try to use the vocal remover tool, but the thing is kinda hard to figure...i've been using it to rip some score from DVD's for my personnal use for 2 years and I haven't yet figure how to work it quite properly. then just export the result in mp3 and voila !

I would love to do some of this...unfortunately, finals are coming up at college, and I need to focus all my attention on that.

I am glad, however, to see that there is still interest in doing this. I'll give this a shot once finals are over(for better or worse...), and see what, if anything, can be done. I think someone of greater talent may have to take over, but I may be able to get the basics set up...or someone could walk me through it, I dunno.
