I think it's great anyway, much faster than Vista and the program compatability is pretty good.

I still miss my XP :(

Vista's not that slow for me. But then again, I did upgrade my ram and CPU capacity. Um, I havn't looked into 7 so I'm gonna go ahead and ask... Are there any really good features about it that stand out?

I'll be honest and say i'm using it mainly because my Vista sucks speed wise and i don't like waiting 5 mins for a folder to open or certain programs to start. I haven't really explored the new features, but the themes are more customizable.

Oh yeah, i use the currency gadget for calculating different currencies to euro for shipping costs and such.

Well, considering the multi-tasking and all the abuse that I've exposed Vista to, it's served me well. If you find anything new when you do go exploring all those features, let me know. I like to play with different OS. =P

As far as I know, there isn't that much of a speed difference between Vista SP2 and 7.

vista is not as bad as you think. but its horrible compared to ubuntu :D

Silver Forest is the publisher for the music, ZUN composed the music for most if not all Touhou games. There are many arrangers/remixers of his music though.

I'm so psyched up for chapter 5 I couldn't resist, although I imagine I won't be able to start playing it until December. It's hard to have anything on my desktop with this one, though. We'll see how long it lasts.

The one to the right of that is Dot, a character from the video LeapFrog: Learn to Read at the Storybook Factory. The dog on the bottom is Spot and the character on the top right is called Humf.

Agent has it nailed Spot-on. Except that there's a good reason Humf is placed right next to the chorus of "Through Fire and Flames", is semitransparent and has a white aura around him.

I decided to do a bit of cleanup and clear away a few icons from the desktop for programs I either never use or would never normally launch from the desktop. The wallpaper is a direct screengrab from Pooh's Heffalump Movie. I think I might use more images from films as wallpaper in the future. After all, if it's widescreen it'll fill the desktop and most current wallpapers aren't widescreen and therefore don't.

For a three year old Dell XPS laptop, it handles Win7 pretty well. Heck, it even handles XP Mode and Aero. Although I upped it's RAM to 2GB shortly after installing 7. 1GB isn't realistic if you're gonna run XP Mode. Only problem is graphical glitches on the last row of pixels at the bottom of the screen. Apparently it has something to do with some Dell-specific modifications done to the chipset and happens on all Dell laptops of that model running Win7.

yup! I've pretty much preemptively declared Romance Is Boring the best album of 2010. I'm actually considering just not even listening to anything else all year.

I use pidgin just to not have a different program for every chatting thing but I wind up rarely using it for anything other than irc. I've become quite a fan of chrome though, it seems smoother than firefox.

I'm a pretty big fan of LC! although I guess that is obvious ;;

I like pidgin for its tabbed conversations, it saves me a lot of hassle.

Additionally, Chrome supports some add-ons but it's functionality isn't that great yet. It hasn't been around quite as long so give it some time ;D I never actually installed add ons when I had Firefox, except Ubiquity which I always forgot to use, and I have had Firefox for years.

The one thing I'm really valuing about Chrome right now is the way it is laid out. Without a menu bar, title bar, or status bar, more of my screen space is devoted to the actual page, while theres still a drop down menu, and the status covers the bottom corners. It works perfectly.
