you don't see anything happen, but it does take a screenshot of you desktop and puts it in your clipboard.

Then if you open something like Paint and paste, there you have your screenshot.

To screenshot just the active window, use Alt+PrintScr

Macs are basically PCs but you can't do as much and they cost more, most mac users are the really cool people you wish you were. LOL I'm on a PC, I think some stuff about macs is cool (teh look) so its not hard to get something similar on a PC.
