Details, Ripping/Sources:
So, this is a little something was cooking up for a day or two. The other night my internet went out so I turned to clean up some junk on my computer and noticed I had downloaded a FLAC copy of the official Sonic Mania Plus Original Soundtrack. Up until this point I was using !!!!!'s "Sonic Mania Expanded Soundtrack" as the main presence of Sonic Mania in my music library, and, personally at least, I find it rather lacking in the face of the superior options that have become available since then. It didn't take but a moment to notice it was missing a few things I thought it ought to have if it's gonna be considered "complete".

The official soundtrack for Sonic Mania Plus is missing:

Green Hill Zone Act 1
Green Hill Zone Act 2
Chemical Plant Zone Act 1
Chemical Plant Zone Act 2
Oil Ocean Zone Act 1
Oil Ocean Zone Act 2
The little intro theme played before Checkpoint from the trailer that is a remix of Mega Drive/ Genesis Sonic 3D Blast/Flickies' Island credits song.
Checkpoint (the theme by Nitro Fun & Hyper Potions used in the Debut Trailer for the game)
The Sonic Mania Adventures Special Remix tracks being released on YouTube from the official Sonic the Hedgehog channel.
& Knuckles Ending (A remix of The Horizon from Chaotix by Tee Lopes for the secret & Knuckles ending)

As everyone knows by now those stage themes were probably omitted because Masato Nakamura maintains the rights to those compositions and sega probably just didn't want to pay him more royalties for releasing them on a soundtrack again. So... it was just Sega cheaping out, who would've guessed? \_(ツ)_/ Shame they'll cheap out on soundtrack releases but won't cheap out for harmful DRM practices, right? >_> (Funny coincidence, like a day after I wrote this they removed Denuvo from the game on Steam. Yay.)

So there I am, sitting there offline, trying to figure out what to do about it and came to the conclusion that I would only be satisfied by having my own version of the soundtrack. And when I do this, I try to do them right. I ended up making a list of tracks and what order I wanted them to be in and added it to my todo list for once my internet came back. Slept on it, next day the internet was back so I got to work.

So, after some downloads, audio comparisons, I found that the best quality rip online is the ones from this thread here on ffshrine (Thread 225984) and decided to use it as the main source for the audio in this custom soundtrack album.

Most of the tracks are sourced from a FLAC rip of the official Sonic Mania Plus Original Soundtrack CDs.
Green Hill Zone, Chemical Plant Zone, and Oil Ocean Zone tracks were sourced from rips done from the Nintendo Switch port.
& Knuckles Ending was sourced from the PC version audio.
Checkpoint was sourced from monstercat's Bandcamp page in FLAC.
Sonic Mania 25th Anniversary Debut Intro sourced from the webm copies of the video on YouTube.
Sonic Mania Adventures Special Remixes were sourced from Jun Senoue's THE WORKS III flac rip by Bizargh (thanks!)

So, the end all be all is, I did this work for myself, so I could have a copy of the Sonic Mania soundtrack that meets my *cough* unreasonably *cough* high standards.
but I figured since I've done it before I'd share my work here in case anyone else may benefit from it. That said, I hope you guys enjoy this little upload and remember to support the artists by buying a copy of the official releases if you can!

made a tiny update
- removed tag comment
- swapped big arm and discovery because I had them in the wrong order (whoops!)

No change to the audio made so no need to redownload, you can change these yourself with mp3tag if you want.

Next update will just be with whatever the next Sonic Mania Adventures Special Remix is.

This seems to be missing the ending music for Knuckles & Knuckles:

I actually didn't think to include cutscene music but I might make an exeption for this one, good catch.
When the next Mania Adventures Special Remix comes out the update to this thread will contain the Knuckles & Knuckles ending.

I'll definitely have this one added to the "ADDITIONAL POSTS" list. And thanks for pointing me to a missing entry in my Sonic Mania music collection. I'll be certainly fetching that one for myself.

Hopefully once the drip-feed of Remixes eventually concludes, official release for them will be authorised/provided (I'd be very much in the market for an all-inclusive Sonic Mania Adventures physical release myself, but I'm hardly going to say no to a digital release for the music, especially if lossless), because I can't recall seeing a pairing so grand as "Tee Lopes feat. Jun Senoue" since "Mick Gordon feat. Tex Perkins"!.
As for the Switch "Rips", I certainly couldn't tell you how that result came about, but when I came across them, checks & comparisons I made via Audacity's Spectrogram & foobar2000 certainly suggested the FLAC format was being used appropriately.

And to actually note regarding that wee jab, SEGA's been recently retiring the use of Denuvo DRM, with Catherine Classic launching without it, Yakuza 0 patching it out, Yakuza Kiwami de-listing it's use before launch & doing so without it, and now it looks like Sonic Mania is in the process of it's removal (Perhaps with other releases by SEGA utilising it to follow) with this noticed with the latest patch in the Beta Branch: https://twitter.com/TheSewer56/status/1104019306239746049

Hah, what are the chances of that, I make a jab and the next day they get rid of the thing I was jabbing at. Apparently today that update went live on the main public branch of the game so yep. Denuvo Removo.

About the audio quality- I looked into it. Apparently all ports of the game use identical ogg files. All of them have pretty crap quality, so the switch rips for the Masato Nakamura tracks are as good as anything else, I'll just stick with em.

I'm working on adding the & Knuckles ending music track since it's the only cutscene song in the game that doesn't have any sound effects playing overtop it. It's a short tune but I guess it makes for a decent track to end the main soundtrack on before the SMA Special Remix tracks.

Added & Knuckles Ending, sourced from game files, since that's the best available (I think)

Updated to add the new SMA track released at SXSW yesterday.
Theme of Knuckles (Sonic Mania Adventures Special Remix) added as track 66.

Taking this opportunity to plug this cool remix of Egg Reverie by JonnyAtma/GaMetal as well.

And my copy just arrived too. I'll be making my rip for it & sharing the contents for this collection as soon as I'm able.

EDIT: Nevermind, this fellow was faster than I was: Thread 234112

NEW EDIT: Mine's now up, both via standalone download (Thread 225984) or via the personal CD-rip (Thread 126974) of THE WORKS III CD-rip I made, all in FLAC, WAV or M4A (Apple Lossless). Help yourselves!
