Is it just me or does this version seem a little well, flat in sound compared to the 98 release? Take The Dialogue for example (Vs. Wild Signals from the CE) Wild Signals has a better stereo sound compared to The Dialogue here which have the instruments more centered in the middle. Maybe I'm wrong about something but perhaps someone can clarify?

I thought something sounded a little off about it. Comparing the two, it does sound like you may be right about the wider stereo field on the CE and a more centered presentation here. Not only with the main program track but the bonus version as well, excluding the original version which has a wider stereo field. It's really strange.
