Introduction
I'm so happy you entered this thread! :awsm:
This is my very first share of an edit of mine. No, actually I should say 'ours' because it's actually two different persons using this account. We're twins and we both use this account, though 99,8% of the times you're dealing with the slightly older one of the two :D
The other one (he's on my left right now) usually wonders around, occasionally saying "Thanks" and leaving unread PMs to me (the slightly older)
Now you know that when I'm referring to myself, most of the time is the older twin of the two ;)
In this case, we worked together in this project. You have to know that we are not completely new to custom edits... We started editing on our own two years ago, when we discovered on YouTube various Complete Scores and bootlegs from various channels. We downloaded music from YouTube for a long time before discovering the Shrine. At the time we got passionate about the scores of Nolan's Batman trilogy and we worked on custom edits with Windows Movie Maker...
Those times are long gone. Now we have lossless files and means for audio editing, but our first experiments (basically a mixture of microeditings and very long compilations) were still in our minds.
The Suite
Recently we remade in Audacity some of our earliest edits, using lossless sources and more accurate edits (which basically consists in mergings and volume changes).
This is the ultimate version of our very very first edit ever. Thus, some edits might sound a bit too rushed or you might find some track choices very odd and strange. As said before, our suites are quite long, featuring mostly full-length tracks and rarely we make micro-editings, similar to compilations, especially in this case.
Our main goal was to include some of the best cues, have variety, contrast, thematic depth and to create a sort of 'musical storytelling' throught unexpected mergings... at least for us :D
Since this suite is basically an upgrade of a dated project, of a time when we were still unexperienced, we're planning a Suite n2 for Batman Begins, but for that we have to start from scratch.
We hope you will enjoy this Suite!
Tracklist & Sources
We would like you to discover the various cues as you listen our edit, to be into the musical and emotional flow we wanted to create.
Watch out: this Suite doesn't follow the chronological order of the music in the film nor a linear narrative. At an early point you might find a cue that appears lately in the movie or the action themes be completely out of order. So... don't be surprised if it happens, because IT WILL HAPPEN A LOT!
But, if you can't wait, here's order of appearence of the tracks used in the Suite.
Hey, are you really sure you want to spoil it all?
Vespertilio (OST)
The Bat Cave (CS)
Back Up (CS)
Mugging - Part 2 (CS)
Eptesicus / Training (OST/CS)
Initiation into the League (CS)
Preparing Equipment (CS)
Why Bats? / Rachel Attacked (CS)
Train Fight (CS)
Batmobile Chase (CS)
Surveying the Ruins (CS)
Gordon Says Thanks (CS)
Original End Credits (CS)
The entire suite is 46 minutes long.
Here are the links:
FLAC link removed due to MEGA rules. MP3 link dead
We used the OST and the Complete Score (downloaded here (Thread 118546)), both exclusively in lossless. As for the OST, we downloaded it from a torrent on rutracker.org (https://rutracker.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4153210).
Here's Mr. Gold's cover for the Suite:

Conclusion
If you're wondering if we're planning something also for "The Dark Knight" and "The Dark Knight Rises", yes, we are :) We did made various suites for both movies, countless versions in a long period of time. Now we should process all that in one single Suite for each movie.
We are in the middle of a process of re-work on our TDK Suites (there's two of them: one extra-long, one shorter and more focus on a specific concept). As for TDKR, we have a finished "Bane Suite" (but the source files are lossy and we might fix a few things in it) while for the 'whole movie' Suite, we have to start from scratch. Also, we'd wait for the lossless sessions to be shared.
But, don't hold your breath. We're very busy in the next monthes (college!) and we're usually very slow in developing this projects. So, be patient and in a couple of years we might post it all in its full majesty
We'd really like to hear some of your thoughts and feedbacks on this project.
