This is just one of my all-time favourite scores.
I can’t thank you enough, MasterZPrime.
You know? You’re a hero. A REAL hero.
–Just listening "A Real Hero" song from the "Drive" soundtrack–
Thanks.
Isn’t it complete though? By saying complete I mean all the music we hear in the film?
Technically not, there is a variation in the Mr. Charles track that’s different in the film. Some parts of other tracks also differ, if only slightly. Thus, to ensure there was no misleading, I put expanded
The Alternates / Inserts are missing (that combined with "Looking Into Limbo" and "Mr Charles" make the Film Version), the End Credits and, maybe the Alternate "Time Suite", avaible in the lossy set.
Possibly, there could be some brass recordings for the "Non, je ne regrette rien" inserts, but I’ve never found proofs of their existance.
But this share is a huge step forward. Sound amazing! 😀
Thanks again to MasterZPrime!

Yes sadly those are still lossy, couldn’t get any better versions of them so I left them out for consistency purposes.
Glad to hear everything’s all good though!
thank you kind sir-

Yes! It’s just missing the trailer music and the two alternate cues.
Curious, what are the alternate tracks?
Curious, what are the alternate tracks?
There are two Alternates/Inserts. One goes into "Looking Into Limbo" and the other one goes into "Mr Charles".
Possibly, there could be some other Alternates in the OST and FYC.

What’s different between this Expanded score and the Complete Score posted few years ago ? 🙂
Read some of the upper posts 😉
How different is the pitch change? How many semitones up/down should it be compared to the film?
MasterZPrime. Mad props to ya.
Idk, I just realized that it was different when randomly one day I listed to the sessions. A while back I ripped the Blu-ray audio cause I wanted the SFX of the ocean wave to transition 1m00 into 1m01 (I love the sound of crashing waves, it’s not an unusual thing for most people) so for years all I’ve known is the film mix. Needless to say, I immediately noticed the version off the sessions is off. It’s higher in pitch.
The 5m28 Destabilization Intro is the ‘additional’ percussions you hear in the movie?
6m35 It’s A Trap is missing the film insert
WUT. Is there a missing insert in 6m35 It’s A Trap? I thought none of it was missing, just maybe sounded a bit different…
All the dith Piaf source cues are missing. This differs greatly from what’s heard in the film. There’s more, these are just off the top of my head.
I just noticed that some of the missing slates perfectly matched the dith Piaf pieces… 1m04, 2m09, 6m34, 7m45.
Now it’s great to listen to the complete "Dark Mal" (aka "Old Souls") Suite!

The Alternate "Time Suite" is missing from this set.
EDIT: Actually, the "Time Suite" from this set is the Alternate!
Dak, do you think that the opening of "Dream Within A Dream" from the OST is an Alternate opening of "6m30-33 To The Complex"?
I wouldn’t call it percussion. Idk what you’d call it. It’s just different.
WUT. Is there a missing insert in 6m35 It’s A Trap? I thought none of it was missing, just maybe sounded a bit different…
Maybe it’s an insert, maybe not. I think it would be called an insert. I have it on my phone but I’m not in a setting where I’ll be able to listen to it, plus I don’t have my headphones atm.

Yes.
1m04s is when the Japanese kid on the train initiates the kick.
2m09s is when Arthur and Ariadne are at the coffee shop ("think about it, Ariadne. How did you get here?")
6m34s is when the kick is initiated when they’re on the snow/mountain fort level.
7m45s is when Arthur initiates the final kick and blows the elevator.

I honestly couldn’t tell you. I haven’t listened to the OST in so long (3 years now, the complete score leaked in May 2013), that the complete score is all I know.

thanks
This set has 2 more suites but misses the 2 inserts/alternates.
”To The Complex” opens like out of nowhere and it looks like there’s something missing at the beginning. Or does it have to be like that? Any thoughts, experts? 🙂
RIGHT! It’s missing 77 secs at the beginning. Check the lossy version for the entire cue. 😉

MasterZPrime, could you please check if ”To The Complex” track in your original file is also missing the beginning?
That’s exactly how it was recieved, fraid there’s no lossless version of the full cue yet, at least not one I have.
Question: Are these direct from the source or is it a rip from the blu-ray + someone’s edits?
The reason I ask is are suites usually included in complete scores? Not a troll question, just wondering.

No, this is directly from the source.

Depends on the score. In this case, 6 suites were actually recorded along with the film cues at the original scoring sessions and thankfully whoever assembled the bootleg decided to include them.

The Time Suite on this set is different than the Time Suite from the mp3 version ?
