God, that Batman symbol up there looks...obese. As his fanboy, I really, really, really hope they'll do the Dark Knight some justice in this movie (pun unintended) - it wouldn't be hard with him next to scout boy Superman, but I'm afraid how it will turn out in the end. Batman's had a lot of luck lately, first with the Arkham games, then with the new trilogy (which wasn't all that bad); it would be a shame to break it now.

Well, to be honest, I'm a bit on the fence here. You see, on one hand, Nolan's interpretation was actually pretty good, certainly a lot more "modern" than the previous takes on the character. On the other hand though, I liked Burton's Batman more because it was...I don't know, closer to the source maybe? You know, darker, more gothic, silly at times, but it had its comic-like charm. But hey, Batman is Batman, as long as they don't ruin him completely (like "Batman Forever" and "Batman & Robin" did for me), I'm down.

I like Nolan's "realistic" take on Bats including the dark tone. Burton's Batman was a step in the right direction but he couldn't fully commit to the dark world of the Dark Knight.

And "BF" & "BR" were so bad the Batman Animated series ridiculed them.

Batman and Batman Returns are awesome and helped redefine the Batman character. Nolan's Batman trilogy is great in it's own merit, but we all know the only good one is the middle one. Yet (and this is my biggest gripe with BvS) throwing it all away was their biggest mistake, because just a single mistep with Affleck will bring down their card castle.

Also, what every movie has forgot is how important is the detective aspect of the Batman mythos. Otherwise you just have a very smart Ironman.

You're rendering an opinion without having seen the film. And what if Affleck nails the character of Bats, delivers a powerful performance? Will you admit that or are one of those Affleck haters?

I think as long as they won't pull out "The Avengers" - by which I mean something like "let's put as many superheroes into one movie as possible and go from there thinking that many known characters in the mix is cool and enough to sustain it" - they have a chance (though I have to admit, Batman looking for a fight with Superman seems a bit...odd for him). And Affleck can't be worse than Clooney was, can he?

I thought so, especially seeing Batman's "armored" design, but didn't know it was anything official, I wasn't paying attention to any news about it. But that's good, maybe they won't ruin it, then.

If only that were so. Good source material does not guarantee a good movie. Just look at I Am Legend or I, Robot. Those movies were awful, entirely missing the point of the films.

I'd prefer the gritty Nolanverse Batman with the more superhero themed villains that Burton introduced. I prefer Pfeiffer over Hathaway, although her character had some strong points as well. I don't understand why every Batman director is so afraid to plunge Batman into the fantastical, much like some of his greatest comic book stories.

What I've seen so far from several scenes and what I know from Affleck's acting gives me enough confidence to dislike the choice, much as I dislike Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. If I was just a hater I would dismiss the capabilities of Affleck as an actor, and he's damn good in several other movies.

This sounds like your regular 'epic trailer music'. Not a fan. There's nothing that is uniquely identifiable with Batman in this track snippet, unlike Zimmer's motif and the bat flap, which hinted at his presence in the shadows. Junkie's range seems very much limited to pounding processed drums and horns which is why the batman suite sounds like Mad Max which sounded like 300 and MoS.

It could even be their soundcloud having them all ready to transcode to MP3 for streaming.
The soundcloud page does link to iTunes.
Maybe there's an exploit somewhere where the WAV files are in one source and used to transcode for soundcloud and itunes.

People speculate that the hackers grabbed the ASM2 complete score, but never leaked it like the other stuff.

The funny thing is people didn't believe that the comic con trailer music was actually from the score when it came out since it sounded like your generic epic trailer music. Junkie XL's music is indistinguishable from any of the trailer music out there made by some really talented artists. I don't have much hopes from his Batman theme but I'm more optimistic about Zimmer's material for Superman.

The track with the best drumming has already been posted from Warner Bros. on their Soundcloud page. "Their War Here" Basically a call back from Man of Steel.

I never said that. There's definitley some other great action tracks on the album. But you were asking about "great drumming"... and "Their War Here" is the only track with great drumming on it. IMHO. There is some drumming on here that's not related to Man of Steel, but pales WAY in comparison to Man of Steel. Still sounds cool though. :P

The main theme primarily consist of a simple staggered triplet drum pattern. And its played a lot throughout. Almost to the point where it can get annoying.

I guess that triplet drum pattern is the part of Batman's theme we hear at the beginning of "Beautiful Lie"? I agree that rythm is a little too slow and I imagine it can become annoying. Well that's a pity, I am so eagerly waiting for this score, looking twice a day to see if there's been a leak.

All solid arguments. Can't argue with that. This way at the very least we'd be off the hook if WB decides to take the results of their own stupidity to court and basically blame others.
You can't say it all doesn't look like someone's dangling a fish over a cat's head and they're telling it not to take it...
They should realize that people are on the lookout for this sort of thing. If you post it online where everyone can get it (like scrat28 says) then don't be surprised if someone actually takes it.
The hypocrisy then would be dragging that person to court... even if they'd get their point across easily enough.

One a more personal note, I've been perusing through the website's source code myself a few weeks ago (around the time Their War Here leaked) and a) it either wasn't there yet or b) I'm not sure where to look.
In any case, we've got 5 tracks out already not to mention the complete score to Man of Steel to keep us occupied for a few more weeks (can't ever express enough gratitude for that DAK!) so I'm not really sure any of us should be going through the trouble.

I have been following this board for years and looked at many threads, even from high profile releases. And all is peacefull and normal.

And when a new Zimmer is about to be released everyone gets into their "screaming-16-year-old-justin-bieber-fangirl-mode". If Zimmer should retire someday people would be bored to death on these boards :p

It's only going to be a matter of time before other copyrights holders' decide to enforce a no-PM policy on the forum.
