This is a rare gem a soundtrack album of all original and traditional American music which stands alone as a masterpiece. Both musically and sonically, this album still sounds as fresh, revelatory and stirring as it did in 1984. George Winston, Darol Anger, Mark Isham and Mike Marshall all contribute beautifully to the marvelous compositions of Charles Gross.
A little known gem and one of the very best albums to come out of the Windham Hill school. Crank up the volume and let the anthem like horns and percussion on "The Auction" lift you out of your seat and let the blissful simplicity of Winston's solos like "Country Night and "A Hymn" sooth your troubled mind. An American original - don't miss it!
