Here is another elegant but darker score from Mr. Simonsen to illustrate the true story of Robert Durst, this rich but twisted protagonist accused of murdering his wife and later another person… Working with Director Andrew Jarecki, this is what Rob Simonsen had to say: “We talked at length about the real Robert Durst and the dramaturgical arc the music needed to take. We spent a lot of time in my studio, collaborating, honing, sculpting. It was an intense and satisfying process of art-making”. The main theme is just beautiful. Mychael Danna’s young prot�g� has definitely crafted his own style as he explains in the bonus audio commentary.
