First, it's important to say that even the Blu-ray had the isolated score presented in lossy Dolby Digital (AC3) format. The DVD was also Dolby Digital, so why bother with this again? Both are in 5.1 Dolby Digital, yes, but the DVD's bitrate was 384kbps, while the Blu-ray almost doubled it, at 640kbps. The spectral view of the Adobe Auditon clearly showed more frequency response from the Blu-ray, obviously.
Second, I have to say that Calidoran previously shared this on his great thread, but most likely it was sourced from the DVD. But nevertheless, I based my share on his work: I named the tracks identically and "stole" the source music, which are not presented in their entirety on the isolated score (but are complete on both his release and mine as well). So, aside from that, I only did some very minor track splitting differently from his and no volume normalization at all.
I downmixed from 5.1 to 2.0, keeping all the audio information from the discrete 5.1 channels in stereo 2.0 using the "-downStereo" from the HDBR Stream Extractor (the best AC3 decoder, as well as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, for that matter). I tried to do it in Dolby Prologic II, but it didn't sound good to me, so I kept it at regular stereo. I also decoded it at 24bit because it was "visually" better than the 16bit decoded stream on the spectral view of Adobe Audition. Don't ask me why! Then I downsampled it to 44.1kHz 16bit, and it still looked better than if I had decoded it directly to 16bit. Again, don't ask me why!
