Thanks for the heads up.
Sounds like a lot of reused themes again from LOTR, but his defense is at least it's his themes and not someone else's unlike some composers. ;)
Wow judging from tracklist, looks like Smaug is done for in the opening of the film heh

Sound routine as usual.
Now, now, wimpel, after almost 11 hours of Das Rheingold, Die Walkre and Siegfried you wouldn't go and say the same about 60 sec snippets of Gtterdmmerung, now would you? ;)

Not only that but
Thorin is taking one of his themes for himself
taking the Nazguls music wasnt enough

I wonder if next year we'll see the release of complete editions, like Lord of the Rings.

 He's done for on page 10 of the book it's based off of.
Not really page 10, but was the shortest book ever to be turned into the longest saga ever.

So true. Wondering how much screentime the title character gets in this one unless the journey back is 30 minutes longer than anyone in the theater will want to sit through. (But alas I won't try making this a series critique!!)

I guess the excuse for the theme being reused is the 'sickness,' but really, how many themes does Thorin technically have now? Dang.

The hairs on my arms stood up when I heard that slowed down version of the Nazgul.
After the adrenaline and chills disappeared, I was confused why he got that theme.
It still behooves me today.
It was a nice scene though. Dat slow motion. Dat fire. Dat walk. Dat look in his eyes. Dat 48fps. Dat slowed theme.

Well luckily and sadly for me, I know the book well and have a pretty good idea of who dies and such. :p

So, apparently, a free track is being offered to those in the US who pre-order tickets on MovieTickets.com, has anybody done that?
