Devil May Cry 3
Prince Of Persia: The Two Thrones
Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time
Final Fantasy XII
Final Fantasy VII
Beyond Good & Evil

I realise they are all (bar one) PS2 games, but that's the only console I play regularly...

Bump!
After a recent bit of mind wandering and discussion, i think I can now list a newly revised top 10.
10. Final Fantasy IX
9. Medal Of Honor - Frontline
8. Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec
7. Star Wars Battlefront II
6. Resident Evil 2
5. Pokemon - Yellow Version
4. Final Fantasy VI
3. Prince Of Persia - The Sands Of Time
2. Final Fantasy X
1. Resident Evil 4
I should state that there are several games that I'd have liked to put in here. But with only 10 spaces. I had to make a few cuts. For example, Super Pang is one my all time favorite games. But, there are several reasons why that is the case, none of which warrant it making a place in my top 10.
Yeah, I dug it up. Bite me. 1.) It should be stickied. 2.) There's a good handful of new peeps who'll probably want to partake.
Annnnd, now it is :D
Second statement stands, let's make with the posts newbies. I want MM's in particular.
I might have to update this tomorrow, Purrr.

I guess, in comparison to what's available now.
Also here's my list, in no particular order:
Chrono Trigger Obviously an awesome classic that needs no explanation.
Donkey Kong Country Groundbreaking and took platform games to a completely new level. Love those mine cart ones!
World of Warcraft The only game that has honestly kept me playing for two years straight and enjoying it more and more everyday.
Final Fantasy VI Easily the greatest Final Fantasy title to date for many obvious reasons.
Secret of Mana The SNES title that actually got me into RPGs.
Albatross18 The best online multiplayer golf / RPG game EVER.
Gunbound Whilst this does have it's flaws it's still one of the greatest online shooters available (especially for free).
Resident Evil 4 Also incredibly groundbreaking and really introduced a new dimension to the survival horror genre.
Mortal Kombat Many hours spent at the arcade playing this. Love the use of digitalised actors aswell.
Soul Blade / Soul Calibur series Fighting games don't get much better than this. Provided me with endless hours of entertainment.
Honourable Mentions
.Hack series
Silent Hill series
Kurushi
Para Para Paradise

i'm not saying these are the best games ever, but they are my absolute favourites for all kind of weird idiosyncratic reasons.
i can't put them in order, but...
final fantasy VII
final fantasy 7 i think has the best story in any game i've ever played, theres never been a game before or since i have ever been so obsessed with continually replaying to discover every nuance. its world is better developed than hundreds of other fantasy creations in other games or books, films, whatever. and i will argue that tired old point TO THE DEATH. the music is absolutely amazing still and i think is the best of any of the games, perhaps for the very reason others may prefer the newer ones - the sounds. this was before real instruments were used in the music for an FF game, and i think it's seriously so much better for it. i may be old fashioned, but i like my videogame music to sound like videogame music 90% of the time. i don't like the distorted guitars & pop vocals littering the later soundtracks one bit. give me old school MIDI any day.
zelda: majora's mask
is miles better than ocarina of time in almost every aspect and i will fight anyone who says otherwise. better programmed, better scripted, better looking, and generally a fairer game. sadly most people who've played it have pussied out over the time limit thing almost instantly. the lightweights.
super smash bros brawl
my favourite arcadesque game by far. what can i say about it? unlockables are consumables for the virtual community, all my useless trinkets are restricted to digital containment. i wish they'd update this online every week and add new stuff. it SHOULD NEVER END.
bubble bobble
is the best two player co-op game of all time, at least until the enemies are gone and the food falls... single-handedly kept a doomed relationship of mine going for at least another six months.
super mario world
is the game that made me spend my saturdays in the local computer shop playing the first level over and over again (the consoles were all set to reset after a certain amount of time...). well, this, streetfighter 2 & megaman.
the secret of monkey island
monkey island 2
day of the tentacle
they simply don't make games like this anymore. the scripts of these games are still funnier than games ten years later. i miss the point & click days, the only games i've played where the speech isn't completely cringeworthy. shame lucasarts fired ron gilbert and ruined the monkey island series with the 3rd & 4th games. a ren & stimpy moment indeed. day of the tentacle is about time travel = i like it.
kirby's adventure
yes, it's incredibly easy. yes, kirby superstar is probably better (i havent played it enough yet). i don't care. this game meant more to me than the three mario games on the NES as a kid. i'll never be as nostalgic about a game again. and it was so damn advanced for a NES platformer - it had maps! and tonnes of different powers! (loads more than the SNES sequel in fact) AND IT HAD A PLOT TWIST! unheard of in those days. and i could say the same for every single game ive mentioned - but wow, the music.
donkey kong country 1 & 2
its hard to pick between this & 2 (3 was mack) so i have to have both DKC2 is bigger but a lot tougher and pretty mean in places.. the wind levels especially. DKC seems simpler in comparison but it's a much fairer game i think. hmmm even typing this im not sure. on thing i can tell you : DKC has the best soundtrack. probably my favourite game soundtrack ever, after the final fantasy / zelda games...
ummm,,,it's hard to put all of those games (old and new, genres and consoles), in just top ten,,,
and there were so many consideration to make. Hmm,,
I own a nintendo NES, SNES, and Sega, but those two were waay to old for me to remember so I start from PS1
maybe this is my top 10 list (not in the order though), this was based on the memories and the Impact they had at me, haha :
Bug's bunny Lost in time
to put it easy, this was my first game in PS1
Tomba
my first side scrolling platform adventure and the most memorable one. I wonder why they didn't made the PS2 version (or at least NDS since I own one now,,,hehe).
Chrono cross
what more could I say? great graphic, great music, great story, good character (well at least for me, haha)
Persona 3
great music, with relationship gameplay a la tokimeki memorial series, good story, and bring memories of Persona 2 (which I never finished because the CD was shattered to pieces).
Fatal Frame 2
the scariest game I ever played (and I play all horror games FYI). It made me took a 3 days bed rest in the hospital because of my sudden heart attack (I have an Aorta abnormality).
Suikoden 2
my first suikoden that leads me to became a suikoden mania,,haha. Great story, great character, good music.
Legend of Mana
the not-so-mana-series of all seiken densetsu series I've ever played, which is good for it. The map artefact system was great and the story itself is tempting. I played it many times just to get a complete list of stories.
Wild Arms 2
I love the story, I love the music, and the using of field tools was great. maybe (for me) this was the best of WA series
Kingdom Hearts
Love this more than the second sequel. Feels more disney to me and my game and multimedia professor (I once had a class for game and multimeds) just praise this game over and over at the class.
Tales of Destiny
the first Tales series I ever played and it's good! It inspired me to write an adventure tale for my junior high magazine.

Okay, roughly in order.
1. Fire Pro Wrestling Returns (PS2) - Wonky localization aside, this is my pick for best wrestling game ever made. Extremely versatile, highly customizable, HUGE roster of over 300 wrestlers, with the ability to make 500 more, Ive dedicated more time to this game that almost any other.
2. Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES) - SMW is technically better, but something about this one stands out above the rest of the 8/16-bit Marios. If compilations count, Super Mario All-Stars with Super Mario World could go here, the finest compilation of the era, Mario 1-3, the REAL SMB2, plus SMW in one cart)
3. Psychonauts (PS2) - Solid plat forming, interesting levels, unique characters, and genuinely funny.
4. Castlevania: SOTN (PS1) - The concept has been repeated by many, but this is still probably the best of the Castletroid/Metroid-vania games. Great soundtrack, excellent 2D graphics,
5. Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES/GBA) - People go on and on about OoT and such, but Ive always enjoyed the 2D Zeldas the most, and for me this was the pinnacle of the 2D series.
6. Cave Story (Freeware, soon to be WiiWare) - The greatest freeware game ever made. Its like everything that was good about 8-bit games mashed together into a Metroid-vania esque game, all made by one man. When this sucker gets ported to WiiWare, buy it!
7. River City Ransom (NES) - Funny, with great beatem gameplay. The only downside is its kinda short once you know where everything is, and theres so many items to buy that youd need a strategy guide to figure out which are really worth buying.
8. GTA: Vice City (PS2) - Ive never cared for the GTA series, but for some reason this is the only one Ive ever liked. Maybe it was because the game was still bright and exaggerated as compared to the gloominess and grittiness of the other 3D installments. Maybe the characters clicked with me more. Whatever the reason, I got a lot of joy out of this one (except for The Driver mission, that sucked HARD).
9. Mega Man ? (Various) - Mega Man has to be here in some form. I was definitely a Mega Man kid growing up, but Im not sure which should go here. Of the original NES games, 3 is probably my favorite, Mega Man X is a contender too, and Ive gotta admit I loved Mega Man 9 on the Wii this year. So yeah, either 3,9,or X, depending on the day.
10. Pokemon Silver (GBC) - I havent played a Pokemon game in ages, but from what Ive seen of the more recent ones Ive never been impressed enough to buy them. Back in the day, I loved these games, and this was the one I spent most of my time with. After the disappointing Yellow version, this was the update Id wanted, and the one I dont think any recent Pokemon has delivered on.
Honorable Mentions:
-Beyond Oasis (Genesis) - Ive got a soft spot for this one. Its one of the first games I ever beat. Its a solid Zelda clone with nice graphics and a cool addition of spirit helpers who serve various purposes, from solving puzzles to beating up baddies.
-Bioshock (360) - One of the few modern games to really click with me. The endings felt a little tacked on, and the fact that you arent punished at all for dying kinda detracts from it at points. But it has great atmosphere, a real storyline, and rock solid gameplay. Though Ive heard tell its just stripped down next-gen version of System Shock 2, so Ive gotta give that a try down the line.
-Comix Zone (Genesis) - Stylish and creative beatem up. Loved this game to death back in the day.
-Lucas Arts Point and Click Adventure games (PC) - I really dont have enough experience with these to put any of them anywhere near the list, but I have a thing for these games. Once Ive dedicated some time to sitting down and playing them, Sam and Max or Monkey Island might even make the list.
-Mark of Kri (PS2) - Underrated action/stealth game. Its short, but it has an interest combat system and an great art style thats like a cross between Conan the Barbarian and a Disney flick. Not the greatest game of all time, but one that Im attached to.
-Maximo: Ghosts to Glory (PS2) - Originally designed as an update of the Ghosts n Goblins series, this game had a cool art design and very old school gameplay. It was HARD and chalk full of secrets. Shame they dumbed down the sequel cuz people complained about the difficulty so much.
-Max Payne (PS2) - Okay, I know that many consider this to be the weakest version of the game, but sue me. The story was gritty and interesting and drew me in. It had its rough points, but I loved it in the end. Too bad the sequel blew.
-MediEvil (PS1) - Not a masterpiece by any means, but a solid 3D hack n slasher with a lot of character and a special place in my heart.
-No More Heroes (Wii) - The game had its flaws, but it had fun combat, funny dialogue, a strange and interesting world, and a style about it that touched just the right nerve.
-Super Dodge Ball (NES) - Lots of fun watching little RCR people beam each other with atomic dodge balls. Just simple fun, with great music too.
-Tecmo Super Bowl (NES) - This one earns points for being one of the only sports games I like. I dont know why, but I love this one something fierce.
And quite a few obvious classics I dont want to bother mentioning. Theres also plenty of the so called instant classics that I havent played yet, so this obviously isnt definitive, just some geeks personal faves.

Times have changes and so does my tastes, so here's my revised list (This time, only one game per franchise.) :
10) Castlevania : Symphony of the Night - Make no mistake about it, I love the Castlevania games, it's one of the few platforming game franchises I can really enjoy. This game exemplifies almost everything that has been done right with the franchise, with a new twist this time. Rondo of Blood almost makes this list, but the sheer fact that a) The SNES got shafted with a shitty port b) You don't get to play as Alucard makes it lose out ever so slightly.
9) Terranigma - The Soul Blazer trilogy is pretty impressive, but this last instalment is the cream of the crop due to the fact that the combat is very very streamlined, the controls are very responsive. There's also the great mental kick out of being able to resurrect animals and humans and watch them grow and prosper.
8) Final Fantasy 6 - Final Fantasy has always been an impressive game franchise before it hits mainstream with the comparatively mediocre Final Fantasy 7, metrosexual protagonists & antagonists, with either or both being emo gits. Quite fittingly, the series reached its crescendo right before that point with Final Fantasy 6, which had quite an impressive storytelling element for a videogame, a memorable villain which only further cemented my fear of clowns. Why this game is so far down the list is simply due to the fact that almost every single combat command is entered via menus, which is bloody tedious especially Cyan's sword skill bar. (This is probably why my favourite character of that game is Sabin.)
7) 聖剣伝説 3 - You know, it is a very tough decision to decide between this game and Secret of Mana. Secret of Mana had better storytelling, better music and cooler characters. However, when you think about it, Secret of Mana has the difficulty curve all wrong ; The beginning of the game was punishingly difficult, but as soon as you pick up a library of spells (Which are ridiculously overpowered, by the way.) the game suddenly becomes a lot easier. The tech system of charged attacks is stupid and takes way too long for it to be useful. Levelling up your weapons are only good for getting stat bonuses. 聖剣伝説 3, on the other hand, starts off easy and pretty forgiving, and then becomes progressively more challenging as the game progresses, which is good. It also gives a lot of customization options like party members, which affect which main antagonist you have to face, class changes and stat upgrades. All of them contribute to a more enjoyable gameplay experience, and this is why 聖剣伝説 3 makes the list.
6) The Legend of Zelda : A Link to the Past - The story of a boy in a green tunic named Link going around collecting items, exploring dungeons and open areas and vanquishing evil has always had a certain charm. The gameplay is solid and the experience enjoyable. While many would cite the Ocarina of Time as the best Zelda game, I would say this wins out for one simple reason : It did the whole duality of worlds thing better, it has an intrinsic connection to the gameplay as opposed to just being there as a consequence of the game's plot development.
5) Tales of Destiny : Director's Cut - The Tales of series, like most franchises and series, has a history of starting out great, getting better, then decaying and festering into blandness. Tales of Vesperia and Tales of the World : Radiant Mythology are recent guilty examples of this. They might as well just have been released as mods to Tales of the Abyss, because the combat aspect uses the exact same formula. It nearly killed my interest in the Tales of series altogether, then Tales of Hearts for the DS came along. Tales of Hearts owes its combat formula a lot to a previous game released for the PS2, which is a remake to an even older PS1 game. I am talking, of course, about tales of Destiny. The PS2 remake is the best in the series, not because of its storytelling, music or even plot, but because its battle system is everything that it should be in a game like this. It is fast-paced, chaotic and free of any bullshit constraints like tech points arbitrarily holding the pacing of the combat back. The Director's Cut version of this games wins even more points because it gives the players the option to play the game from the point of view of the the antihero, Leon.
4) Half Life 2 - Out of everything Half Life ever released, this game wins out easily because the gameplay covers almost everything that makes FPS games fun. It is long, enjoyable from start to end with an immersive narrative. While I really want to nominate the original HL1 for this spot, the whole Xen thing ruins it for me. Stupid fucking giant spider with testicles. This game might just win top spot in my heart, but there are two things that it lacks : Large scale epic fights racking 3-4 digit kill counts and out of the box multiplayer experience. (I know there are mods that fix this, but still, I am talking about right out of the box experiences.)
3) Team Fortress 2 - This latest installment/update to the Team Fortress franchise is a bit of a controversy. Many people loved it, and some hated it, preferring to stick to TFC and Fortress Forever and keeping the status quo of the gameplay formula they are used to. One thing is indisputable though, while TFC and FF are very popular amongst fans of the HL and Quake anthology games, Team Fortress 2 brings people from almost all walks of life together, even those who have never touched a video game before in their lives. The constant updates, the free TF2 weeks, the achievements and the guest passes all adds up to a superior gaming experience that everyone (Who isn't seeking compensation for their tiny dick by bragging about their scores.) can enjoy.
2) Portal - I would say something here but Yahtzee in his Orange Box review (
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/10-The-Orange-Box) said it all. This game is fucking awesome.
1) Serious Sam : The Second Encounter - Do I even need to explain this? You + a shitload of guns and ammo + a shitload of monsters to kill + fluid movement and controls + co-op mode = Tons of endless fun. There's also an editing tool for mapping that gave birth to tons of mods and maps that makes the experience even better.

The only problem I had with FFVI was that it was the forerunner to a generation of relatively easy JRPGs. The only SNES JRPG I like more is Earthbound, which I didn't put on my list since I already had Mother 3.

lol, Resident Evil 5 is a great game. In my opinion better than 4 in pretty much every way but just so similar in so many ways too.
For it's time Resident Evil 4 made a large leap in terms of gameplay, Resident Evil 5 has just refined it all. When compared to RE4 without taking into account nostalgia, RE5 is a better game but when compared to the quality of games that get released now..
The things that are different are all better, imo.
It really wasn't a hard decision. I just waited a while on it.

If you were forced to list in order your top ten favorite games of all time... what would you put? No ties or abbreviations allowed. Here are mine, in order:
1. Final Fantasy VII
2. Kingdom Hearts II
3. Ogre Battle 64
4. Shadow of the Colossus
5. Final Fantasy IV
6. Jade Empire
7. Asheron's Call
8. Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
9. Prince of Persia: Warrior Within
10. Bioshock
I tend to go for games with strong and compelling stories or characters. How about you?
You are welcome to disagree; I expect many will.
EDIT: Feel free to just put your top 5 if you are lazy.

lol.
So, are these supposed to be in order or something?
EDIT: I lol'd at the FFVII being his numero uno as well

Yeah, those are in order from my perspective.
You are welcome to disagree with my choices. I'm sure most of you will. But I would honestly love it if the thread doesn't get derailed by people hating on FF7. It isn't relevant. I can like what I like, and let's just leave it at that.
I'm simply curious what other people think are their favorite games of all time.
I could go on about FFVII being boring as shit but I won't.
1. Lost Odyssey
2. Final Fantasy VIII
3. Kingdom Hearts
4. Initial D: Street Stage
5. Fatal Frame (1-3)
6. Silent Hill (the series)
7. Dissidia Final Fantasy
8. Tomb Raider II
9. Tomb Raider Underworld
10. The Sword of Etheria
I had to think really hard after 6. From 7 to 10, I just put it down of which I enjoyed playing.

IDX Rider : What is Lost Odyssey, why did you like it, and what gaming platform is it for? I'm always looking for new and good games to play, and I'm surprised I've never heard of that one...
Lost Odyssey is a turn-based JRPG for the 360. I liked the story and the characters a lot and the music was fantastic.

Yeah, it looks like there is. Sorry. I seem to have a nasty habit of making threads such as these without bothering to check to see if it has been done before. My mistake.
By the way, I totally forgot about Baldur's Gate II. That was one amazing game. I need to slap that in my list somewhere...
EDIT: Also, what made Planescape Torment so good, from your perspective? I never played it, but for some reason the idea behind that game never clicked with me. I should definitely give it a try, though.

IDX Rider, I'm glad you listened to my advice and got Lost Odyssey and never regretted it! :)
For me, it's a bit difficult to do a top 10 cause I usually don't play many crappy games... I think. :P
But I think I can do an effort and come up with a list of games that did leave a lasting mark in my mind...
10- Resident Evil
9- Metal Gear Solid
8- Mass Effect
7- Final Fantasy IV
6- Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
5- Shenmue
4- Metroid Prime
3- The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess (Tied, they're all great)
2- Final Fantasy VI
1- Super Metroid
That's the list I could think of in the short period of time it took me to do this post... Maybe I'll correct it if I put more thought into it...

P:T just has imo a great story and wasn't as clich as the RPGs of yesterday or today. There's no fighting to save the world, just to understand the protagonist's place in it. It's also got a mass of dialogue options which actually mean something or affect your character's progress instead of just making him more good or evil like the standard Bioware game.
And I like Bioware. But imo Black Isle's P:T dialogue and the story itself are much deeper than anything Bioware has ever done. The story is definitely heads and shoulders above every RPG I've played.
But to be fair, it's not the most balanced or forgiving game when it comes to combat.

Hynad: If I may ask, what makes Super Metroid so appealing? I was under the impression that it was a simple sci-fi you versus aliens game with good gameplay. Thus, from my point of view, I don't quite understand why you put it as your number one selection. Why do you like it so much? I must be missing something here ;)
doomjockey: I will definitely check out P:T when I get the time!
As a somewhat relevant sidenote: what was your impression of the Icewind Dale games? I keep wanting to go back and play them because I also enjoy Bioware and the Infinity Engine games immensely, but for some reason I couldn't bring myself to play the Icewind Dale ones for very long. The gameplay was similarly top notch to the BG games, but the story was perhaps... not quite there. Did you play them? And if so, what were your impressions? Just talking about them makes me want to try to play 'em yet again...

Icewind Dale... Decent game, decent story, but what kills it for me is the lack of identity in the player characters. It was like trying to play FFI after FFIV. A big step back to get a faceless party again after P:T's colourful cast so enriched the previous game. I still enjoy ID1 and 2, but there's a palpable hole where character development should be. ID was pretty big step back from stuff like Fallout 2 and P:T imo. Not as well-rounded.

Level design is unmatched as far as I'm concerned. The gameplay is everything I like the most in a game, good balance between action and exploration. The later is done excellently with abilities such as the X-Ray vision, grappling hook, speed Booster, etc... and it is actually rewarding to search for stuff (no stupid medals that have no use in the game whatsoever and are there only as a fake "longevity" lift like you see in modern games.). The controls are tight (perfect if you ask me), the atmosphere is one of the best I've seen in a game, with the music accompanying each sections of the map remarkably.
And...
...I just so happen to really like sprite based side-scrolling games
It's kinda hard to explain. The game just happen to do everything right with the right balance between each components.
Now that I think about it... I don't know why you're asking ME in particular to justify why I like a game more than any others. Everyone here has a game they prefer above all others... _
Every games can be described in a vulgar way like "it's only a fantasy you vs the goblins" or whatever else. But most great games have to be experienced to fully understand their appeal.

I guess if I'm going to do this, I should be long-winded thorough about it.
In alphabetical order since I can't be bothered to put any above the rest:
Ace Combat 5 - This is actually the only game in the Ace Combat series I like at all. Tons of missions with lots of variety, plenty of aircraft to pick from, and good replay value. On top of that, it has a well-crafted story with interesting characters that I actually gave a shit about.
Baldur's Gate 2 - Still arguably the best RPG ever made. Tons of variety in characters, scenarios, equipment, enemies, locations, and anything else you could possibly want in a game like this. The gameplay was well-polished, largely thanks to having the D&D rules at its core. And Jon Irenicus is easily one of the best villains in gaming history.
Fallout 3 - Honestly, I wasn't interested in this game at first. I had tried a couple of the Elder Scolls games and didn't like them, so the similarities between those games and this put me off a bit. I tried it anyway and was hooked before I knew what hit me. I don't know a single person who hasn't liked the game, even people who don't normally go for this type of thing. If you haven't played it yet, do so.
The Longest Journey - I grew up on point & click adventure games, so I've seen most of the good ones. This is the only one I've ever gone back to though. In fact, I've played through it 3 times. And considering that it's several times longer than most adventure games, that's a pretty big investment. Okay, it does look primitive by modern standards and it's as bad as any adventure game I've seen about requiring you to think like an alien on an acid trip to solve some of the puzzles, but that stuff is excused by some truly brilliant writing.
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time - I love the whole Sands of Time trilogy, but the first one is still my favorite just because of its charm, wit, and originality.
Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal - Again, I love the entire series, but this is my personal favorite. In some ways, it's a step back from Going Commando, but it really makes up for anything it lacks by piling on some extra laughs. Every single moment where Dr. Nefarious is on screen is pure gold. Plus it has the same awesome platforming as the rest of the series and a spiffy level-up feature for the weapons.
Rock Band 2 - I never actually played any of the Guitar Hero games or the first Rock Band before this one came out and I picked it up. I've gone back and played pretty much all of the alternatives now, except for Guitar Hero 1-3, and I have to say that none are quite as well-designed. Even the previous Rock Band had issues with its interface that this one corrected. And did I mention that I enjoy it, even if I do kinda suck?
Starsiege: Tribes - Special mention for this one, as it is my absolute favorite game of all time. There's really no sense in playing it now since the community is dead and the level of skill in the remaining players is pathetic. I tried playing it a couple of years ago and effortlessly walked all over another team using tactics that everyone knew in 2001. Still, the memories of the game in its prime are fresh in my mind and I'm still looking for something to give me the same fix.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - Do I actually need to say anything about the game that brought awesomeness back into Star Wars after two disastrous films nearly killed it?
Ultima Online - My first MMORPG and still the one I have the best memories from. I had a small circle of friends with no need for a guild. We rampaged through the countryside (I have some pretty awesome stories) for the better part of 3 years until the developers started turning the game into crap. After leaving UO, we tried Asheron's Call for a couple of years, which was good times, then moved on to Dark Age of Camelot, Star Wars Galaxies, and World of Warcraft. None of that gave the same freedom though, and I ultimately got tired of all of them.

Hynad: Sorry. I wasn't trying to make you justify why you liked the game. I just wanted to understand why you did so I could see if it would interest me or not. Most people enjoy sharing what it is about a game that they loved so much, and that is what I was trying to aim for. I wasn't trying to challenge it or anything. You also weren't the only one that I asked about, because I asked other posters about the games Lost Odyssey and Planescape Torment. I'm always on the lookout for good games to play, which is why I ask. From your description, Super Metroid sounds like an interesting game certainly worth trying. And I plan to, when I get the time.
Sorry if I offended you.
Prak: I'm glad I'm not the only one who loved the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time trilogy! I've run into so many people who won't play it or don't like it because the combat system is too hard for people to get a handle on or because they think the Prince is too emo.
I was also interested by your Ultima Online selection, and your explanation of why you liked it. I had a very similar experience with Asheron's Call, and I've been trying to find an MMO these days that is populated and is comparable to those very first experiences i had in AC. Currently, I'm playing Lord of the Rings Online, and that seems to be the closest to that old experience, although not quite. It is too bad that game designers today ape the too easy path of World of Warcraft instead of the harder games of old. Do you play any MMOs these days that tickle your fancy? Or nay?

Thank you, Mayday :-[
PoP is easily one of the best series I've ever played. Which also reminds me of Legacy of Kain. It's not a top ten kind of thing for me, but I really like that entire series for its plot. Yeah, even Blood Omen 2, as iffy as it is. Maybe I just like time travel.
IDX Rider, I'm glad you listened to my advice and got Lost Odyssey and never regretted it! :)
It seemed to good of a deal after it dropped to $29.99USD from its original price. I thought it was great! I even have the soundtrack :D! And I downloaded that extra dungeon. But for some reason, I can never get passed the fifth level. Something always happens where I have to go back to the beginning or whatever.

In no particular order and off the top of my head:
Disgaea
Powerstone 2
Final Fantasy VI
Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations
Ever 17
Soul Calibur
Bubble Bobble
Earthbound
Harvest Moon 64
Space Channel 5 Part Two
About half this list changes every time I make a post like this, and the other half will probably never change.
Things I tend to like in games include strategic gameplay, sprites, WORDS WORDS WORDS, fighting games, music games, and general weirdness.
Also: I really need to play Lost Odyssey.

After I gave up on WoW again a couple months ago, probably for good this time, I've had nothing new to try. I'm probably not going to bother with anything until The Old Republic comes out. I like what I've heard about it so far and I'm really hoping that it turns out to be more than the usual grind to max level, then suffering through endgame content with people I hate. I loved those old games where there was no endgame. Just me, an unsuspecting world, and my burning desire to make mischief in it.

oh man, that is cruel. I hope you will be replacing said computer and installations posthaste!
But... now I have to cause you more pain because I feel obligated to encourage you.
Torment, in my opinion, was, prior to Mass Effect, the only game that had ever 100% successfully bridged the gap between epic narrative and total freedom in an RPG, because of how it ingeniously forces you to play The Same Character But Not the Same Character As Everyone Else (this is the only way I can think to put it.) But it's mostly just that there's an element of literary power to the writing that I'm not aware of in any other game and it melds this with the "shitloads of quests and freedom of choice" elements of games like Baldur's Gate. The in-game journal can be read as though it's a novel.
Fallout 1 & 2 are my favorite RPGs ever. They don't have gripping narratives, but the level of freedom they afford you is unparalleled in my opinion. You could say Fallout 3 offers more freedom because it's a bigger world with way more quests to do, but for me it never captured the true feeling of being anyone I wanted—Fallout 3, believe it or not, holds your hand way more than the original games did. This may simply be related to the fact that modern RPG gamers expect a lot of hand holding. But the thing that is so great about Fallout is you just get this totally unique sense of I am on my own, out in a post apocalyptic wasteland, and nobody out here gives a shit about anything but their own survival, and I only have X number of days left to find a water chip... and I have no fucking clue where to go. Not knowing where to go is the best part of the first playthrough of this game... you are forced to ask every stranger where you can find a water chip, and 95% of them just act like you're crazy or tell you to fuck off. It's great.

First off... holy shit, Tanis!
Second, continuing my trend of poking people about their selections...
Byrd - What made you dislike Disgaea 3 when you liked the others? I've only played the first one thus far (loved it), and I'm curious as to what change they made in the third one that made you divorce it from your list...
Slavka - I got the impression that the most recent Prince of Persia went towards beautiful visuals over challenging gameplay and a good story. If you have the chance, could you explain to me why you liked it above the other ones (which you also have in your list)?
As always, when I'm asking these questions, I'm not trying to challenge your decision. I just want to learn why you picked what you did so I can deduce whether I should play (or not play) your selection(s).
Honestly, I only had one main problem with it, aside from the mana system and the fact that you were limited in char combos, and it's something that's more my problem than the actual game.
After you beat the main storyline, which is fairly short, you play the epilogue. The thing is, you have to do something to get more maps to continue your progress. The game explained how to do this, but I was unable to get them. I tried many different things, but I was basically fucked and had no way to continue on. ;_; So that kinda killed it for me.

Puddles123, you didn't offend me. I'm just not in a justifying mood. :P
My only wish here is that if you play Super Metroid, you'll be able to look beyond the seemingly outdated graphics (I still think they're great though, even if a bit simple.). There are really few games like that these days too as far as gameplay goes. Except for Megaman games and the Castlevania series in particular, not many games play similarly to Super Metroid.
In fact, Castlevania games took ideas from the Metroid formula, and added some RPG elements to it. Even though it is a bit more intricate, I still think games like Castlevania SOTN tried a bit too much to surpass Super Metroid, and didn't really succeed...
Even if SOTN is still one heck of a game.
Speaking of Castlevania, what do you think of the new one that's coming out soon? I'd say the name but I forgot. I'd check but I'm lazy. And I'm at work.
Lurn two wiid.
Top 10 from each system.

Yeah, but see, the point of doing a top 10 list or top 5 or even top 20 is to do something concise from all categories so everyone can just breeze across and compare. Your top 10 from 1 console is way different from your top 10 across all of them and way less interesting to read... sure, you loved Final Fantasy, but how much did you love it compared to Resident Evil? That is the whole idea of a "top 10 of all time" list!

Yeah, I agree with TK here. I do know it must have taken some thought to come up with those lists, Tanis, but that massive wall of 100+ games doesn't really bring anything to the table and isn't relevant to the thread. And most people won't even read it.
How about you condense all of that into a top TEN list of your favorite games of all time, in order? I would also ask that of anyone who has chosen to post them in no particular order. By placing them in order, we learn something about you and your preference for games, and we see how they compare to our own favorites. By simply farting out a list of ten (or in your case, 100+) randomized games, all we know is that you liked those games, which isn't terribly informative. The challenge here is to force yourself to rack your memory in search of those games that moved you the most, or perhaps entertained you the most, or kept you coming back over a long period of time. And to put them in order.

Eh, I can never really remember which 10 games I like the most. I'll just try and name some really awesome ones off the top of my head:
Pokemon Crystal
Mario Kart DS
Fallout 3
Mother 3
Harvest Moon: Back to Nature ;o;
The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask or Wind Waker (I can't decide)
Super Mario Sunshine
Super Mario World
Metal Gear Solid (can't decide which is my favourite. The series as a whole is awesome-o. I pick 2, I suppose)
Super Smash Bros. Brawl (sorry Gara!)
AFTERTHOUGHT:
Animal Crossing Wild World
Final Fantasy IX
Making this list is really hard.

The Masked Ndi - Well, from reading your ranked list I can now deduce that you play both strategic RPGs and fighting games, but prefer a well-crafted RPG over the fighter. That preference is not something that I could have figured out by looking at your original list.
Of course, that observation of mine might not actually be the truth, but that is what it looks like. =)

Well, I've always said that if I could play only one genre of games, I'd pick fighters. However, I think I tend to get more attached to the story heavy games of love, which gives them a higher ranking on my list.
I have thought of a lot of terrific stuff I left out since I've made my list too. No Chrono Trigger, PaRappa, or Tetris, no Smash Brothers...the only game I think I'd be willing to bump is Bubble Bobble, though.

It's more like Parappa than Gitaroom man, I guess. There are dance commands called out to you that you repeat with button combos. Michael Jackson is it it (for reals) and the main character, Ulala, is adorable.

To be perfectly honest, I'm not entirely sure - useful, I know. Granted the gameplay was a bit easy, but the whole game had this kind of rhythm to it that was easy to get into, whereas I found Two Thrones and Sands of Time harder to pick up again after leaving it for a few weeks. In reality, I pretty much like 'em all the same: maybe Warrior Within just tainted my view of the SoT trilogy a bit.
EDIT: 1000th post? Damn, I wish I'd said something meaningful...

My list....
1: Sam & Max: Hit the Road (PC) - I love this game. I really do. Zany, madcap, hilarious and... at times, downright bizarre. Some words to describe the Freelance Police. 'Point and Click' adventure game, through a weird world, to find.... a kidnapped bigfoot and his girlfriend... a giraffe necked girl. Also, I'm not a big fan of voice acting in games, but the cast assembled for this game was perfect imo.
2: Dynasty Warriors 3 (PS2) - The first of the series I played and still the best imho. Simple gameplay, combined with the stress relief of killing wave after wave of idiots stupid enough to get in front of me as I'm waving my sword around. (At the time I was working in retail and dealing with the public made me slightly insane. DW3 helped bring some sanity back, by imagining I was at work... and the enemy were the idiot customers asking stupid questions.)
3: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (Xbox) - With all the movies and novels about Luke Skywalker and Co. saving that galaxy far, far away, this game was a refreshing change to the Star Wars franchise, and being able to see how the Old Republic and the Jedi were like 4000 years prior to Vader was nice.
4: Saint's Row 2 (Xbox 360) - Recent game, yes, but still thoroughly enjoyable. No matter how many times I finish it, I end up playing it again. Where else can you drive a sewage truck and 'paint the town a nice shade of brown'? (I think that was either inspired OR the inspiration for The Dudesons using a sewage truck to get even with their former neighbour, Mr. Hitler in season 2 of The Dudesons.)
5: Vandal Hearts (PSX) - First strategy RPG I played. Cartoon-esque sprites, which spew into the air enough blood (when they die) to keep Count Dracula happy for eons. Story was good, and the attacks/special attacks were impressive.
6: Front Mission 3 (PSX) - RTS with robots with big guns blowing big holes into other big robots with big guns. Good story too.
7: Breath of Fire II (SNES) - The first CRPG I ever got for my trust SNES and still a personal favourite. I enjoyed the story and the character's own stories, as well as being particularly long (Ok.. when it was released I was a young little idiot who hadn't played many RPG's.).
8: Quest for Glory Series (PC) - I can't pick just one, as I thoroughly enjoyed the whole series of RPG's. Being able to take your hero from the first game, all the way through each successive game made the series more enjoyable to me.
9: Scorched Earth (PC) - Very simple little game. Get a group of friends in front of one PC. Pick a colored tank. Pick a load of weapons and defenses. Go to battle and blow the crap out of each other. Played it back in high school back in '96.
10: Dragonlance: Dark Queen of Krynn (PC RPG) - This was the first computer RPG I ever played, and also being a fan of the Dragonlance Novellas, this game got me hooked. Thank you SSI ^^

1. Legacy of Kain series.
Not just either one of the games, ALL the games. Because they compliment eachother, and the story is told through all of the different installments. This game has the most brilliant story I've ever played in any game. It's an epic novell, nothing short of it. The graphics and gameplay improved as our computers did. The characters were very well thought out and immemse depth and character development, the voice acting was masterfully done. The music always fit the mood of the game, challenging puzzles. What more can you want?
2. Baldurs Gate series (NOT Dark Alliance).
The best thing is, you can carry your character from part 1 (and expansion), over to the second installment. Unque feature, some items are only found in the first part. While they are not needed to complete part 2, it does give a feel of accomplishment. Play as you want, who you want. The character creation is practically limitless, you can be good or evil. Do things for others, or your own personal gain. This alone gives the game unlimeted replay value. Great story, awesome graphics (even now, it's really nice to look at).
3. TES 4: Oblivion
A simply HUGE world to explore, massive and involving quests. Or just ignore the main quest and do as you please. And it is in this aspect, that this game truly shines. Limitless character possibilities, from races to weapon skills. Again, play as who you like, the way you like. The graphics and music are pretty awesome really, the combat could have been a little better, but is still enjoyable. And Shivering Isles is an awesome expansion, just leave Oblivion and follow a whole new questline in a different dimension, with limitless posibilities. This is how it should be.
4. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Simply amazing story. This game also used the NWN engine. This resulted in a new and unique way to play a Star Wars game. And it was really well done. Not going to spoil the story, but it was truly well done. Playing either good or evil has a huge impact on the game, and how it does end. Different choices lead to different outcomes. Though character creation is somewhat limited, you can play a few different ways. The replay value isn't that great however, 2 play throughs for the good and evil paths really. But even then, amazing story. And ofcourse, it is Star Wars!
5. Fallout 3
Oblivion with guns! Though the map is smaller, it's more action packed. I love to play this game in an exploring way. Much to be found, even more to be done. Same goes as it did for Oblivion, ignore the main quest line and play as you like! Small critique, it's much easier to be good, then it is to be evil. Though your choices do impact how NPCs percieve you and how they will act towards you. Much diversity in character creation. ANd I love how you truly play this game from the "start". You actually begin as a baby, the statistics you pick then, will influence the rest of the game, even your actions as a teenager can have far stretching consequences.
6. Grand Theft Auto 4
Much divided opinions about the game. Truth is, Liberty City is amazing. The city truly feels as if it is alive. When it reains, you see pedestrians pop out umbrellas, they even share umbrellas! It's things like that, that truly make the game stand out in an atmospheric way. And Niko's character (the dood you play), is really well done. Good voice acting, nice character depth and growth. And ofcourse, it's GTA. Who doesn't love going on a rampage?
7. Diablo 2
Till today, this is still one of the most loved games I've ever played. Much diversity in characters (different ways to play one class). Item hunting (you have to love it, or it won't appeal to you), trying to deck your character out as best as you can. Love it. I wasted so many hours in this game, it's unbelievable. Graphics are increadibly outdated, but the way the story is explained through the cut scenes, simply awesome. I'll never get bored of it. And Blizzard announced that patch 1.13 is coming soon. Hopefully some very usefull features are going to be implemented.
8. Bioshock
This game is simply beautifull. It's very artsy, you can just stop playing and ejoy how beatiful Rapture is at times. The story is also VERY VERY well done. Downside is, if you play through it again, you know what is going to happen. Though I did notice things that I didn't notice on my first or second play throughs. The music was well done, and even though it's not creepy on it's own, combined with the ambient sound effects and scenery, it manages to set a creepy atmosphere.
9. The Metal Gear Solid series (as a whole)
Gotta love this series. Again, very powerful and moving/involving story. I do have to admit, the story of part 2, is my favorite. I know this game got alot of hate because of ZOMG GAY RAIDEN. But I simply loved it. The way you play the game through someone else's perspective. Awesome voice acting, though sometimes a little long on the cut scenes. The games have a very movie like experience. One that you can't get enough of.
10. Unreal Tournament
I've not played any game as much as I have the original Unreal Tournament. So many years of my life wasted playing this online. Quick hectic gameplay, easy to learn, hard to master. Great rave like sound track. Awesome graphics for it's time. Nothing like it on a LAN party.

@Neo Xzhan -
I'm glad you love Baldur's Gate and its graphics! I think the reason it has proven to be timelessly beautiful is the fact that all the backgrounds and settings were actually hand-drawn and painted. I believe I read that somewhere around when it came out. As a consequence, all those Black Isle-era games end up looking very pretty!
I find it odd that people like Oblivion so much, to be honest. I liked the idea of open endedness, but with Oblivion you get so many dungeons (elvish, dwarvish, caverns) that look so very similar that I didn't find exploration very rewarding. It seemed like they all looked the same. Also, the monsters following your level made for some very frustrating scenarios. For example, my very first character was some elf archer/thief who snuck around sniping the hell out of people and stealing all their loot. It was a blast. But leveling so many non-combat oriented skills led to me getting my ass beat in every fight as it became almost impossible to explore dungeons or beat anything as the game seems to assume that lvl 12 means you can throw down in a slugfest with lvl 12 creatures. Or something along those lines. That kind of ruined it for me. One of these days if I'm in a more combat oriented mood I may go back to it, but I kind of preferred Morrowind for the deeper story and background.
EDIT: I would add that, in comparison, I enjoyed Fallout 3 very much because just about every location was made very different (each Vault had a separate story behind it, for example) and there were methods of defeating things even if you weren't too skilled at combat. Henchmen were available, land mines, sniping, aiming for their legs then running away... It had a lot more options and thus I've played it at least 10x as much as I did Oblivion.
How the hell did this not get merged? You people slacking w/o me, mang.
I didn't like Fallout 3, Prak. Way too open world, gave me the willies. WHAT ORDER AM I SUPPOSED TO DO SHIT IN ;_;;

So yeah, the fact that this game has no limits can be a little overwhelming. Give it a go, LOVE IT.
Build a settlement? How do you do that?
You're talking to someone who adores Xenosaga :p
Also, the aesthetics of what I saw didn't exactly grab me. Now, Bioshock, on the other hand (I bring this up because of the similarity in music, it came to mind. Not sure if comparing the two games is particularly fair in any particular way.)

fake gun games are called "light gun" games. Rail Shooters are shooters like Sin and Punishment and Space Harrier that scroll forward or follow a 3D path instead of moving vertically or horizontally.

About Fallout 3 and the settlement. It requires the Mesmerotron, and you to fail the Protect the Big Town quest from the Super Mutants. Oh and BTW, you need TONNES of Ammo for the Mes, and about 20.000 caps. Rather EXTREMELY important. Do NOT take the Mysterious Stranger Perk, seeing how the Mes can trigger this, you don't want to kill your followers.
Short explained, what you do is, you Mes someone, and then bring them to your Settlement (in the case of this example, Big Town). You can decorate the Town anyway you want, by carrying various objects, putting whatever you wish where ever you wish.
Don't forget that you have to equip everyone with weapons and the correct ammo.
It also helps to lay out a minefield is you plan to have battles.
This is all very time consuming, but massive fun.
(It doesn't HAVE to be Big Town, other good locations involve Minefield, Grayditch and Dukov's Place)
Oh. So it's not an intentional game feature, just something you can do by manipulating the game world. Gotcha.

Having just acquired an SNES emulator with that and dozens of other possibly good RPGS, I would love it if you could expand on why you liked that one. I might choose to play it after I grind through Chrono Trigger and FFVI.
I'll start with the negative part: The magic and menu system is a bit iffy and kinda disrupts the flow of gameplay at times, although you rarely use magic anyway, mostly for bosses.
However, there's so much that is great with this game. First of all, it has 3-player coop. Then there's a great story, good localization, nice looking graphics, one of the best music scores of all time and many memorable details.
Don't let the cutesy style of the game fool you, though, there's genocide, murder and all that jazz all over the place.
I personally like Secret of Mana so much because it was pretty much the game that had the most impact on my life and sparked my interest in so many things. So it's a lot of nostalgia tied to it.
If you play ROMs, you should try it, and also try Terranigma, my second-favourite SNES RPG. It's a game by enix that was never released in the US, only in Japan and Europe, and it's the last game in the Heaven and Earth series from them (after Soul Blazer and Illusion of Gaia).
Also, Secret of Evermore is one of the most underrated SNES RPGs. It was developed by Square of America, and is easily one of the better RPGs from Western developers I've played.

Not a whole lot has changed since the last time I posted these, but I thought I'd give some actual reasons this time. In alphabetical order:
Fallout (PC): Definitely my favourite PC RPG. Great character customisation, highly original setting, wonderful dialogue and voice acting, a massively non-linear plot that still manages to be consistently interesting and perhaps the most memorable ending in the whole genre. Doesn't get much better than this.
Grim Fandango (PC): I'm not a massive fan of adventure games, but I make an exception for Tim Schafer's wonderful efforts. Grim Fandango remains my favourite of these, despite its pretty crumby interface. Definitely a game I enjoyed for the story over the gameplay (and man, what a story!), although most of the puzzles in this one were at least moderately enjoyable.
The Legend of Zelda - Majora's Mask (N64): I loved Ocarina of Time, but its sequel made it seem almost forgettable. It's amazing how Eiji Aonuma's darker take on the series managed to be so different from its predecessor despite reusing most of its graphical assets. Probably the most interesting implementation of time as a game mechanic I've seen in a video game; watching the MM's characters live out their final 3 days of existence and seeing the way your actions effect each of them was easily my favourite aspect of the game.
Megaman 2 (NES): I don't think I played any NES game as much as this one. It's simple, wonderfully paced and set to the holy grail of 8-bit soundtracks. Not a whole lot to hate here, beyond the odd slither of dated level design.
Mother 3 (GBA): Like Ocarina of Time, Earthbound was another great game completely eclipsed by its sequel. Unlike Earthbound, Mother 3 was actually fun to play thanks to a heavily streamlined interface and a quirky rhythm-based battle system. Highly absurd yet strangely moving and sentimental (epitomised in the game's first chapter), Mother 3 practically justifies the existence of story-driven JRPGs; a subgenre that's otherwise long past its prime.
Planescape: Torment (PC): If I was to make a list of all the things that are wrong with Torment, you would probably wonder how anyone could enjoy it at all. Mindlessly easy combat, poor game balance and terrible pacing are just the beginning of the game's issues. Most people who have actually played the game end up loving it though thanks to its true strength; meticulously detailed characters, setting and plot. The depth in these areas is simply staggering, more so when you consider that half the writing for the game was done by one man. Designed to subvert many of the genre's more common tropes, Torment is almost more of a free-form adventure game than a RPG, with the actual “game” part mostly concerned with conversing with NPCs to slowly piece together your complicated past and the reason for your seemingly eternal existence. One of the most original games ever made, and more than worth anyone's time.
Shadow of the Colossus (PS2): Basically everything that's great about Zelda, distilled into 16 magnificent boss battles. Add realistic physics from the cinematic platforming genre, along with an original visual athletic, and you have the one of the greatest games of all time. The music is pretty neat too!
Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne (PS2): The last entry in Atlus' “main” Shin Megami Tensei series (well, until Strange Journey in October), Nocturne took everything that was great about the first two games and combined it with a more modern cell-shading aesthetic and the magnificent “Press-Turn” combat system. Nocturne is everything I could want in a JRPG; tones of character customisation, brutal difficult and a highly original (and minimalistic) plot. It even has Dante from Devil May Cry, seemingly just for the sake of it!
Super Metroid (SNES): Really, a game that lets you double-jump forever and swing around on a grappling hook is pretty much the best game of all time by default. Its non-linear level design and fantastic boss battles are just icing on the cake.
Ultima VII: The Black Gate (PC): One of the most influential PC RPGs of all time (next to, funnily enough, largely other Ultima games), The Black Gate nailed concepts that other RPGs were still struggling with over a decade later. A huge, highly interactive gameworld, amazingly detailed NPCs (practically everyone in the game has a unique name, dialogue and daily schedule), great plot and non-linear quest structure all make it very easy to forget the game's fairly poor attempt at a real-time combat system.

Alright, I went ahead and merged the threads because the new one, predictably fell short of the goal of 'Top 10 Games of All Time' and became another 'Your Top 10 Games.' I don't think the casual poster is going to ever be able to keep such a strict criteria to warrant both threads existing simultaneously.
If you feel differently, well that's an entire discussion unto itself, which we could have if you'd like.
I'll update while I'm here.
Final Fantasy VI
Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations
Silent Hill 2
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Resident Evil 5
Xenogears
Bioshock
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Constantine
Pokemon Platinum
Yeah, you can roast me over throwing out Super Metroid after I threw out Chrono Trigger. I've been thinking about it, and it felt like Super Metroid was there not only because I really love (because I do love it) but also because it felt like one of those games that make sense on such a list and many people agree on it. So, I guess I'm saying, if I was doing a 'Top 10 Games of All Time' list under strict criteria, it'd be on there, but because this is MY top 10, I really have to replace it with a game that I adore because it expands on the movieverse fiction it is part of, and I feel doesn't get enough love (which it may appropriately lack, since many people don't know about it/don't like it).
tl;dr
Carry on.
