~morrigan666 own CD CASE~

Presents...

It has been a long time since I have shared any of my physical Audio CD Collection, but this is one work I would be willing to share, not also because of the out of print, but the music itself. :)
Back in the 90ts, Manga Entertainment was able to come to my country and release VHS such has this one. At the time I was surprised to see a non-japanese name for the music, but, it would not be the first or last for a foreign to work on anime.
Cyber City Oedo 808, had it's soundtrack completely changed for something to better suit the dark cyberpunk world we were present with. I saw the Vhs so many times just because of the soundtrack. :D
Soundtrack for the first episode is not bad, but like the episode itself, is not anything to "Wow" about. The Second and Third episodes, have the best music compositions.
"TRUCKING" and "VAMPIRE" are my favorite of all. :)
The original japanese soundtracks was way more pop and boring, making the OVA feeling itself... boring. In a way, Kazuhiko Toyama muisc was good, yes, but not in this universe which is presented to us, called "CYBER CITY OEDO 808".
Rory McFarlane did a hell of a job in my opinion. I am not at all, in favor of changing soundtracks from anime, but I am an open minded person. And probably, what makes me like this soundtrack so much, might be the nostalgic feeling I have while listening to it. :)
Rory McFarlane presented us with Heavy Rock mixed with electronic and ambient styles. It does a better job, much better job, in coupling with environment of the plot of the OVA and universe itself.
I love this soundtrack. Since it arrived, I have lost my count of how many times I have listen to it. :D

I offer both FLAC and MP3 VBR -V0, with scans included, and my own way of tagging files.
I tried to look for who else gave the voice for Sarah and Remi Masuda, but the actresses are not credited, and I don't recognize their voices (as I did with Kate Harper, uncredited in Angel Cop, but was only credited in Dominion Tank Police. Go Figure why)

Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing this soundtrack. I particularly like the 3rd OVA. I really like Kawajiri's animes.

Back in the 90ts, my second Manga Video VHS was The professional Golgo 13 which had some promotional/trailers for some Movie/ova There was this one (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekAkn1DYDlA) (go to 1:08:45). I saw that Promotional Trailer o cyber city so many times, because of the music. And Yes, the part presenting the 3rd episode with the music "Vampire" was actually love at first hearing. When I finally got the VHS with all 3 episodes, I hated the first episode because I dislike Sengoku personality, and scrip is shitty, because you never feel anything for any character in the first episode, you don't feel any connection. They are just people going around like crazy people doing stuff. Episode 2 and 3, the script was written by Kawajiri Himself, thank god, and this time we can relate and like the characters, because we have back story on both and we know what they are and their "deep" is. Akinori Endo wrote the first episode, and like always, he sucks at that.
Soundtrack for episode 1 is nothing out of ordinary as I state above. But the other 2 episodes, actually have Themes for both Characters. I am sad that only 5 songs were made for episode 3, and Episode 2 has like 10 songs. I really love both episodes. I have seen more times then episode 1, not only because they are impressive to see with some cool chases and fights, but the animation itself is gorgeous.
Benten is my favorite character. He is named after the Shinto Goddess of Love and Beauty. Do you get the connection? ;)

I have to say I rather like Sengoku's personality, and the swearing he put out. :)
