Getting married in 3 weeks (woohoo!!...woohoo..? ;) ).
We sat with the DJ and there's gonna be all those familiar mainstream hits on the dance floor but I'm dying to put in some Video game flavor.

Now, I'd love for suggestions of VG tracks/remixes that you believe will fit in the dance floor. Not just for those familiar with gaming music, i'm talking about tracks that are so awesome that even if people don't know it they'll dance to it and it won't kill the vibe.

The Nintendoer the better but i'm open to anything (Final fantasy?).
Please put stuff that has modern sounds, so for instance tunes we all love from older games won't work obviously, I need stuff that people would assume is just awesome dance music.

Hoping to have your awesome suggestions in my wedding, breaking the Rihanna and beyonces apart a bit.

Tyvm, AMLD1

video game danceable music. huh...

with vocals? for a soft, woman's-head-on-your-shoulder type dance, try nio precioso, from black ops 2. the one that has guitars, not the ending rendition.

a classic, and actually used in some weddings at the time: the mortal kombat theme from the first movie.

non vocal songs, techno genre, one time i told a dj at a bar my family owns the building where it stands to put one of these in, he did, and no one suspected its from a game:

gene gadget act 1 or gene gadget act 2, from sonic 3d blast (either pc or saturn version)

vamo' a la flamenco, ff9.

and of course, guile's theme

I'm not sure exactly what kind of music you're aiming for, but Busted Bayou (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95HuSMQSUVo) from Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze has a fun sound to it.

Haha I actually thought of a few of these :)
I was talking about music for the dance floor though, you know the kind of techno like music people will dance to. so far I've found a few options in DKC2:serious monkey buisness from ocremix.

Yeah! Golly gee willickers, this idea could win the nobel prize. I'd like to formally request the theme music to Bublgum Rosie (or Bubble Gum Rossie) from Action 52, the award-winning sequel to Action 51. I mean, balls, if a series can kick it for 52 installments, surely the composer's wits must be about exhausted from all the scoring work. But lo and behold, Ennio Morricone still managed to pump out yet another winning ticket to hog heaven.

I mean, Eddie Money promised us two tickets to paradise (where the second ticket went is anyone's guess), and using my tack-sharp detective skills, I'm almost certain he meant this dream-come-true compositional experience.

Blast off with Rosie Van Halen, former backup guitarist for The Circle Jerks, in yet another hair-raising, high-stakes adventure across Pixelvania. Traverse spikes that would be the death of an otherwise normal girl. Stomp baddies like you're made of concrete. But most of all, jam out to the fine-tuned masterwork of one of the world's most renowned virtuosos, lending preferential endearment to such classics as, "Solitaire" for Windows 95, "Chip's Challenge" also for Windows 95, and "Dogday" for Linux.

I hereby request a professional conductor to assemble the finest choir they ever yanked out of Telford's academic halls, to be ready and able on my big day with the missus. I'll be paying €800.98 upfront, and another 500 when I'm fairly certain I've just been blown away by orchestral mastery. Mastery, goddammit.

Fuck I'm high.

Sonic Generations ~ City Escape: Act 1 - Escape From The City (Cash Cash RMX) is a great dancey remix :)

Some of the themes from Marvel vs. Capcom 3 soundtrack (She-Hulk's Theme, Spider-Man's Theme, Phoenix Wright's Theme, Danger Room) too.

Cool, checking all these out.
Anyone knows of an awesome super mario bros/zelda/final fantasy remix that people can dance to?

for that, try the OCremix webpage.
i personalyl hate this type of remixes, looking instead for orchestral remixes. few people in OCr do them
