Everyone had problems in that game. It wasn't just one loneliness, but there are many type of loneliness that was presented. The question is: Who had the most burden on them, that overshadows all the other characters?

Hmm...funny thing is, that's what we see in Cloud's memories, when he regains it. Zack was killed, trying to protect Cloud. So unless there's more evidence to back up that the man near the junkyard is Zack, its been proven, otherwise, by going back to Shinra's mansion in Nielbihelm, having Cloud go back to memory lane and seeing how Zack's life ended and how close they were to Midgar. That's also how their dreams ended abruptly.
There's really no point in boasting that AC is the truth who the couple will be or who Cloud will end up with if its just from trailers. Reading what Jinchuu said in the other thread, they all are speculations and assumptions as either side can tear the parts they want into their liking. Just how websites and magazines do it, speculating and creating assumptions from one little scene. Each scene is up to your own interpretations. What you see or how you feel about it can be interpreted in so many ways. If you think about it, that is true.
When it comes to Aeris loving Cloud only because of Zack or how Aeris never knew the 'real' Cloud, that's a really narrow minded interpretation. The vital parts were there in the game, I think its just a matter of preference, so you can choose to ignore the vital parts said and done if it doesn't go with your liking. Aeris did clearly stated that her relationship with Zack was in the past as they weren't serious. Although Cloud had that "Zack-ness" surrounding him, she didn't find interest in Cloud because of Zack. Aeris stated in the date scene that Cloud wasn't Zack. Aeris also knew quite a bit about Cloud because she asked Marlene about him, she talk to Cloud, asking him questions and trying to break down Cloud's cold exterior that he presented to the world. Cloud was never initially Zack, he had some of his memories confused with Zack. But why wouldn't he? It was Cloud's dream to be First Class Soldier, so of course, he would feel ashamed of not making into it. Cloud never did become Zack. If he did, Cloud would be a ladies man, like Aeris said and very outgoing. But Cloud never was. He was very introverted and cold and never acted like Zack. The only 'Zack' that Cloud took was the memory of being a First Class Soldier when he wasn't. So the 'real' Cloud was there the whole time, in front of Aeris and everyone, that whole time.

Both Aerith and Cloud had the burden that overshadowed everyone, but there is always something on relationships that you should never be with someone who can bring you down further. Tifa may have not been the most optimistic person around but she did her best to keep cloud going after Aerith died. They shared a burden, what else can that say? It still doesnt give enough evidence that Aerith should be with cloud, as it doesnt give enough that Tifa should be with him...

But I still have that thought, that Aerith was a representitive of hope, when Tifa and Cloud were both lost, they found eachother (lifestream, consciusness) and it was through the strength that Aerith provided that they found the love they share.

I think that Cloud and Aeris make the best couple out of the two in the love triangle because Cloud and Aeris really understand each other. Cloud was very lonely as a child as was Aeris. Both of them only had a few people who really understood them. When Cloud met Aeris, she changed him. Aerith helped Cloud become happier. She was the reason he changed so much. She even visited him in his dreams. Also, Cloud agreed to be her bodyguard for a date, while with Avalanche, he made them charge. The first time Cloud laughed was with Aeris, when they were running together. He finally felt accepted. Aerith is the person Cloud needed to help him feel loved. Before Aeris met Cloud, she was lonely. Cloud showed her love, friendship and someone who was willing to risk his life for her.

Cloud and Aeris compliment each other's personalioties so much. Aeris is cheerful and helps Cloud cheer up and Cloud is protective and likes to listen to Aeris. Aerith felt so happy with Cloud. Just because Aeris is dead doesn't mean anything. Aeris is still alive in Cloud's memories and in the Lifestream *spoilers* At the end, when he says "I think I'm beginning to understand......The Lifestream, I think we can meet her there", and then Tifa says "Yeah, let's go meet her". In Advent Children, when Aeris and Cloud are in the flowerfield standing back to back, they are speakng in the Lifestream. And in those quotes I just posted here, it shows how much Tifa really loves Cloud, by letting him make his own love decision. Yeah, maybe he will marry Tifa, because there is no one left, but he can stilll love Aeris as much as he always has

Just because Aeris is dead deosn't mean that the character can't come back to life. Just take Megaman for example. Megaman, Zero and stigma died so many times yet they came back to life.
