Wow, this is indeed different. Listen to this with Peter Jackson's images in mind. Much fun to be had. It's not a bad score in itself, but of course it pales immensely in comparison to Howard Shore's magnificent work. But as I said, quite interesting. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Thanks! An interesting soundtrack. It begins as the music for Combat, but in the last half he does manage to make something altogether new. Wish they could have animated/filmed the second half of the story. It would have been very interesting to see where the music would have gone. But in my mind, as I listen to much of this, I just can't help imagining Sgt Saunders and the squad in Middle Earth. Caje! Littlejohn!

FilmScoreFan,
An awesome score; albeit Rosenman, I love it (the reason why I say that is because Rosenman used some of the same cues if not arrangement calibrations and timings as on some of his other works; not to say that's bad, just some Rosenman I can recognize, and some I cannot ~ for instance "The Isle of Dr. Moreau). The first cd soundtrack I ever purchased back in 1994 and I have an Australian version with a nice suite cut from the original Bakshi LotR DVD from the early 2000's. Thanks, this is a fun score with lots of memories.

Not at all. Musically, the Rosenman is superior. Shore's conventional effort pales.
Thank You for this Trip to Middle Earth.
