I didn't know that's how you felt. Sorry I had them move your thread. Forum rules dictate that the downloads forum is for downloads. This thread had no downloads so I reported it. It's easier for me than being an asshole and saying stuff along the lines of, "Idiot, this is for downloads. You put this in the wrong place!"

Anyway, I don't know that I've downloaded very much of the stuff you've shared, but I recognize you are a very valuable member here. People like Lord Fuckingham are parasites who don't deserve a right to internet access.

i know not all discussion threads are being moved, some are forgotten, not detected, whatever, but the moving means no discrimination :)

Here we go. Another valued member gone because someone decided to be a prick. If it's too late to convince you to change your mind and comeback then maybe take this as a little consolation. One way or the other you've made a lot of us here happy, with your generous shares, myself included. We all need some time for an R&R and if you're feeling a little less excited because of that experience, then by all means go on a break. But don't let that one guy ruined your passion for what you do.

The single, best thing any uploader can do - both for his own happiness and to comprehensively defeat the trolls and attackers - is to simply get on with doing what he's doing. If he likes to share, and people like to avail themselves of those shares, that's a dynamic that works and succeeds.

I worry about folk who spend months joyfully sharing, making people happy, becoming happier themselves... and then suddenly and without warning announce "Fuck this, fuck you, fuck everything!" when they get a pisshole response from a known imbecile. Then, the inevitable "NOOOOOOOOO! Don't go! The sun shines out of your ass! Haters gonna hate!" comments come piling in (ie, right here) at which point either original poster returns saying "Thank you, my friends - I'll remain here for you good people and to hell with the whiners!" or they're never seen again... and the survivors simmer for a few weeks and then forget the guy ever existed.

It's highly repetitive, highly annoying, and provides a positive outcome for ONLY ONE PERSON - the dickhead who annoyed you in the first place!

I will just say that dedicating a thread to a member you dislike will only get them more of the attention they so crave. By creating that thread, and using that title, you are simply inviting him to respond in kind, which will offend you etc. It will accomplish nothing good for you.

Unfortunately, you pretty much are going to have to. Yelling at him, threatening or scolding him will only egg him on or make it worse. It will motivate him to see how worked up he can get you. The only solution is perma-banning by mods. They **really** don't like to do that, and it is rare. His posts have to be really, really vulgar and outrageous. He was banned shortly, but for trying to use the forum for selling or openly trading items. If he insults you, or is vulgar to others, simply report his post, and do not acknowledge you even saw it. Eventually, mods will decide it's enough and take action. But, just plain old insults or flaming may not reach that level, unless it is really persistent to a few members all the time. Dig?

**I admit I am not always able to follow this advice myself, and that's my bad, however I do believe this is sound advice and the only real alternative other than an ever escalating flame war. If one thread gets locked, he will just open another. Mods can delete the comments, but by then they will already have been seen, so what's the point?
