I did read that thread, buy which legal reasons are the cause. Why can we post Sony Classical and not V.S.?

as far as I know it does not belong to VS family?

those do:
Varese Sarabande
Colossal
Masters Film Music
Colosseum (Europe)
Volcano (Japan)

Because Varese Sarabande made a request to the forum owner that no one post their releases.

It should be "Why ask for this question?" If only you have done what a newbie should have done in the first place and that is to read the basic rules allowed and not allowed and be aware of what's the common practice well maybe then this unnecessary thread would have been void of being made . :)

I did read that thread, buy which legal reasons are the cause.

So you admit that you were aware of the reasons before asking?

Why can we post Sony Classical and not V.S.?

AH-HA! Now we get to the nitty-gritty of this thread in question.
You could always ask in that thread if any label is allowed or not, the admins/mods will eventually get around to it.

It's not "for legal reasons" - it's because Varese have threatened the administrators and other labels haven't. Posting Varese is no more illegal than posting anything else.

varese almost had forums shut down something around 2 years ago. to allow us to continue, they said no sharing theirs.

that was when the lossless film score thread shut... :'(

I have no problems admitting my probably big ignorance in regards to how this stuff works, but I fail to understand how Varese/etcetera bans don't have legal reasons as the "cause"? How would these guys go about getting this place closed? I mean... sure, some actually threatened staff and administrators... but what would these threats turn out to be? Legal consequences of some kind, I think.

At any rate, there are workarounds.... And the ban(s) don't get 'completely' enforced, but this is just my opinion.
