Heres some John Carpenter goodness Ive decided to compile for you guys. These three scores were just re-released on iTunes in digital quality!

The Thing is the same release as this one from BSX: JOHN CARPENTER'S THE THING - Music from the Motion Picture (http://buysoundtrax.stores.yahoo.net/jocathmufrmo.html)
(Personal note: so many fantastic posters and production art to use for the cover and this is what they ended up with.?? I almost thought it was an amateur fan recording.)
I have been waiting for a re-release with an awesome sound quality like this one, so Im terribly happy to have it, after years of listening to some dodgy DVD-Rip. (I also have the original Var. Sar. CD release though, but lots of music is missing from that one)
Heres the link if you want to buy The Thing from iTunes:
iTunes - Music - John Carpenter's The Thing - Music From The Motion Picture By Ennio Morricone by Various Artists (http://itunes.apple.com/album/john-carpenters-thing-music/id473362886)
Now,

Dark Star and Assault On Precinct 13 are being released as a double-feature, but I decided to split them up in two folders.
The sound quality, again, is terrific.
If you want to buy them:
iTunes - Muziek - 'Dark Star / Assault On Precinct 13 (Music from the John Carpenter Motion Pictures)' van Alan Howarth (http://itunes.apple.com/album/dark-star-assault-on-precinct/id548307504)
I am not aware of a CD-counterpart for this release, so if you want a digital quality version of Dark Star this might be your only option. Anyone who can correct me on this is welcome to do so! :)
Precinct 13 did have some re-releases earlier in the millennium, but I cannot comment on any kind of quality comparison. This iTunes one sounds great though, that's all I can say.
I am also willing to share my copies with anyone interested since theyre from iTunes its in 256kbps aac/m4a. Theres no DRM.
To get me to share them with you: YOU send ME a PM, requesting either one specific link or just ask for the whole Carpenter-goodness-shebang! :p
Manual: click on my username bbwonder to the left of this body of text and select private message
One last thing:
Anyone who replies to this topic requesting ME to pm THEM will not even be dignified with any response other than a massive facepalm.
Enjoy the music!

Almost forgot:
If I am late with replying, it's because I'm going to the theatre later to check out Dark Knight Rises! Owww yeah! :)
