Well, happy birthday.
Geez, a little more and soon I'll recieve a request from you to help you with your BST AF1 lol
As for me, well, I'm 59 now, and planning to go for my Gallant Surcoat anytime soon. I'm in luck, my LS buddy Backus (THF56) also has a coffer to get in Castle Zvahl Bailey's. His Treasure Hunter II will probably help. We'll just have to find others, and then, I'll have to find an alliance for the NM fight in Davoi..."fun" :p
This evening, we're going to go for a BCNM40 run...I swore to myself I'd never go into this deathtrap again, yet this time it is party formed by Jago, with only members from my LS. I have full trust in the members that are in our party, that's why I agreed to do it. Besides, I don't want to mine for 600k and get a Gluttony Sword. So we'll see how that one goes. If it fails, screw the sword, I have enough money to finance myself until 61 and my armor and accessories are perfectly up to date, which are more important than your weapon, at least in a Paladin's case.
Hehe, you know, a party (or maybe even a duo or trio) of Beastmasters are capable of collecting their entire AF set without any outside assistance, so don't count on any request! ;3 And speaking of BCNM, kitty and I will be raking in some gil in the BC30 bird battle, wherever that is. I'll look it up later. A BST PT can completely dominate BC40 as well, so soon from now it looks like Typo will be rich again!
Good luck taru you with your BCNM runs and final AF piece, and safe journey to 60! ;3
Typo needed something taru do whilst awaiting the return of the sexy. I figured it would be most constructive to start saving (read: camping something) for the 700k worth of Brigandine +1, which I'll want at 45. Not wanting to waste any further time with Lizzie or Empy, I decide to try me hand at Mr. The Torrent for the Signa, in Giddeus. And what a good decision it was!
Between last evening and 27 minutes ago I camped him 10 times, winning the pull with /ja "Charm" 6 times thanks to widescan, me handy-dandy reflexes, and equally handy-dandy /target < stnpc > macro. I'd love to see the looks on people's faces when the BLM they thought would have a disadvantage in using Stun (having to stand still and be in range to cast) completely kafuffled all logic and conveniently whips out the fastest pulling tool in the game. Kekekeeee~!
I only managed to score Mitts, Mitts, Scroll, Mitts, Mitts and Scroll, but Typo remains enthusiastic because 1). I have a knack for winning the pull most of the time, even against the all-botting, all-training scumrapists of our era, and 2). being able to capture him just a few times a day ish bound to net me a Signa or two within a week. That's good moolah-woolah~!
I'll make a habit out of this until it gets tiresome, or I score 3 Signas. Whichever come first. Chances are it'll be the latter. Typo gets a kick out of being accused of botting because I win too often. :3

hehe, well you know Typotaru, Kristof is comming back in a week or so and a nice Signa for his bard would be such a good "Welcome Home" present <(^_~)> kekekekekekekeke. lol Good luck w/ the camping, I did it before and all I got was was 3 days of headaches <(~.~)> But I didn't have as good a way as claiming as you do w/ charm^^

Ugh. I used to camp Hoo Mjuu a whole lot. I got him most of the time with Provoke, but never got it. And it seemed whenever someone else snatched him before me, they got the drop. -_-
I suppose luck was not on my side. Good luck, though!

; ; So that's WHY you totally ignored my desperate calls to help me with the coffer in Castle Zvahl Bailey's. Both Jago and Laurewen were willing to help me for once (63 SAM and WHM) but your help would have ensured our safety.
So, in short, I waited for your reply, which never came. ; ; That was very disappointing of you, Typo. That you are busy with whatever reason, fine. But at least answer to tells you're being sent, that's not fair you know. Oh well.
The BCNM run totally failed as well. And I'm not even talking about the Japanese RDM who was in our exp party I formed with Mihmendra a few hours later...the party lasted 20 minutes...boy, was she AWFUL :p

Sawwy about your BCNM run~ I just want taru clear one thing, though: Typo got no tells at all whatsoever from you, so they must not have reached me somehow. :3 But, there are times when you, as well as others try taru message me, and are met with no response because I am AFK. I don't ignore people. Thanks.
This post appears a day late, but better late than never. ;3
Typo was actually invited about a month ago, coincidentally on the very same day Tlaren invited Typo to hers. You'd think I'd be jealous of all the cats being swept off their feet by long-necks and humes, but I happy for them and whatever good occurs to them in their future. They'll all still get licked every once in a while, and Gorgeous ish no exception! Congratarulations taru Gorgeous and Ratix, and all the best in your shared life. ^^;,
---
Our waiting room (

), a bar in Port Bastok...the something turkey? Silly Bastok, I dun remember >.>;;;;; Friends of the bride and groom, as well as invited sexies (

) sat with anticipation for the upcoming magical event~
Forming of the aisle, and procession~
Standing next to me ish sexy Lunareis, in the hot white catpants. Nyaaauu~
Everyone \^^;/
The ceremony itself was quite formal, and even the silliest of the silly behaved for the most part. It was a very special and beautiful evening (Desdemonacat did a great job co-ordinating things, far better than Typo could ever do), if you'll pardon that clich of a wedding description. For once, I genuinely enjoyed myself in doing something other than level or make money.
The defining moment of the night was that undeterminable moment sometime after the event when I became aware of a certain fact about meself... Although Typo has his fun with the cats and ish generally known and liked within certain small circles, I'm not really attatched to or belong to anything. After all, this night was about a celebration of two people coming together, of individuals becoming a couple and creating a new identity for themselves. Change and growth had taken place in their lives, and we witnessed a part of it. No single job, LS (HNM or otherwise), not even any cat ish actually "mine", or "has" me. You can associate Typo with silly antics and cats and hats - intangibles. My nature is to drift from one thing taru another, to isolate myself from others with relentlessly addictive leveling, to not settle down with just one cat and call it a dream. ;3
I've been a Black Mage for the majority of me adventuring career, but I don't consider myself one now. I not as accurate or as powerful as I used to be, although this is in part due to the fact that most of my once-prized casting attire ish no more. Typo has instead chosen the unlikely road of Beastmastaru, a job with the freedoms and challenges that someone like me needs; it would be accurate taru say that it's now one of the few reasons I still consider myself an adventurer. Perhaps one day I will make myself famous for being a BST, and in that you'll be able to define Typo by something worthwhile. Maybe.
The moral? It ish strange, the things a wedding can do taru you! [/notamoral!]

I am the chaperone for William and Littleyuuki's wedding, but the lottery for the dates I chose was not drawn yet.
If I recall right, Ratix is a fellow Paladin.
On a personal note, tonight was the first ever I switched jobs in a loooong time. Indeed, since no one wants to help with my last AF, I figured I'd get on leveling a new job, one that I intend to sub to Warrior when I go level it up to 37, namely, Samura.
I got it up to 8 in one evening (about 4 hours), and to be honest, it is a great job, still not as fun as Paladin, in my humble opinion, but pleasant nonetheless. All I have to do is get it to 18 then it's off to Warrior for 7 levels, but before I do that, I need to correct my biggest newbie mistake as a Warrior, namely, leveling Great Axe. None of this should be too hard, it's just a matter of getting the appropriate invites...and taking time.
Although, I'd really prefer to just get my last AF and reach 60, but it appears it is asking too much and/or it's never the right time...oh well. I'm used to it by now, and it has always been my biggest gripe with this game, we depend WAY TOO MUCH on others, and man, maybe it's because I'm a Paladin and it's in my nature to help, but why do I feel like others are always less willing than me to help ? Sigh.
EDIT : Oh, one last thing. Skype owns us all in Lacastoubliee. And if you don't know what it is :
http://www.skype.com Being able to voice chat in parties is quite convenient. And before you ask, yes I'm on PS2, but my PC is conveniently placed, so...

Hellos again Typotaru~ Just saying "Hitaru~" Squaresoft is being slow on the character restoration thingy. <(-_-)> Can't wait to get back to playing though~ I miss everyone lots. I'm glad your enjoying bst so much, when I get back on we should try bcnm sometime <(^_~)> hehehe. Well hopefully I'll see you in Vana'deil ( I dont even know how to spell that after a year of playing <(-_-;;)>)
soon Typotaru~
Edit: Oh yeahs, I forgot to ask if you know what happened with CM's formus? They weren't working forever and now when I go there the site is gone and it has some disclaimer in Japanese. <(O.o)>
*sigh* I want taru level with Lunacat, but I also have rather strict expectations of whoever ish fated to be my duo partner...namely playtime and exp pace. Not since mid-level BLM have I ever been one to lag when it comes to leveling. Typo ish a machine, and my partner needs to compliment this. I'm too eager to reach a high level in my new profession. Too eager to experience a power more true than anything magic could have ever given me. I want to help myself now, so I can help my friends in future, until the day I disappear.
I'd have times more fun (

) being with kitty (

), but she has more important things taru do than level all day.. I'm so sawwy, kitty. *licks her cheek*
We can still talk on linkyshell and BCNM and all sortsa other nifty stuff~!

Kristof: I can't even remember the addy for CM ._. But I'd be glad taru help you with Mr. The Torrent, and running some BCNMs with ya!
Dave: Hang in there with PLD! I know I know, you probably hear that all the time, but in the meantime you can maybe enjoy Samurai, and happen to bump intaru help for your PLD along the way? I'm rooting for ya! ^^

That restaurant in Bastok is called the Steeming SHEEP...:p Have respect for our glorious Republic, will you ?
Desdemona was the chaperone ? My, I haven't heard from him and his girfriend Kiera in such a long time, we used to always be together in Kazham, when I was leveling Paladin. Unless you mean DeZdemona ? Which is yet another one whom I've partied with before, a Dragoon in this case.
And I realized I know quite a few of those people that were there as well. Yeah, sure, I'm not friends with either the broom or bride but I know quite a few of the invited people.
Hang it there ? Meh, yeah, I heard that one...a lot. And all I get from my "friends" when I ask for help is "sometime". That's shitty. Yesterday, again, I was going to just level Samurai an extra level ( I got on a bit late yesterday because I went to play hockey cosom with a friend, then stayed at his place, drink a beer, chat, watch TV, usual male bonding :p ) but then my friend Cayo asks me if I want to help his friend with the SAM quest, so I did that instead. Kicking the butt of that tree with a 59 PLD and a 62 WHM sure goes smoothly.
Maybe I should start saying no...nah, I'll just say "sometime". :p Maybe it's just me, but when a friend asks me for help with something, if I can't help him/her right now, AT LEAST I tell them a precise time when I could and we arrange something. I don't go saying "I'll help you sometime", I believe it's being unrespectful of people that you consider "friends". Seems like I'm quite the exception in believing that, though. I mean, instead of telling me "We'll help you when it's time" , why not simply say "Okay, let's arrange that in X days at X hour". Is it so @$"/%$/" complicated to manage your time ? Oh well.
Seriously, though, you'd think this makes me mad...but not as much as it seems so. I've always been very disgusted with human stupidity. It does disappoint me though. This is just a game, I'm fully aware of that, but it's quite ironic that for all the freedom and the non-linearity it has to offer, you're always stuck to not do the one thing you'd really want to unless you get some people to help you...Not mentionning you'll never really know WHEN you'll actually get help doing it.

I have made a significant discovery on my first day back in Vana'diel. Linkyshells cannot survive without Kristoftaru <(O.o)> My first long break from this game, UnorthodoxFew, Mine and Typo's first LS together, broke up. Then when I came back it was TheOrder. TheOrder was basically Few - Unorth, and then it grew and grew. Then I take abother break, come back, and find TheOrder is over and it is now CresentMoon <(-_-;;)> Now I come back after my third break to find 2 people in CM that usually has 25+ people, and a few hours ago I find that the leader is disbanding the LS and so it is over <(; . ;)> No more CM... So therefore I must conclude that a LS cannot survive after it is seen the glory of Kirby and is then deprived of it <(O.o)>
This brings 2 things to mind. With the break of a Linkshell people that I am used to seeing will slowly fade away, join new LS, it makes me sad. But than on the other side, I am almost happy that this happened <(@_@)> I have been playing on and off for over a year now and I have what?, maybe 20 really good friends, out of the huge amounts of people on the LS. I think that I have maybe actually stuck around this LS and its familiar faces for too long perhaps. I know it sounds selfish but, I want to be known. I want people to know of Kristof the great brd/smn/whm/blm <(^_~)> I have never had a single person not know Typo when I mention him and allthough I know I will never be as famous as the great Typotaru^^ I do want to make more friends and get to know as many people as I can.
Well, now I think that I am at the point of blabbering <(>.>)> But basically, Goodbye CresentMoon, it was a good run but all must things must come to an end <(; . ;)> And if You go to a new linkyshell I hope we never drift apart. I would miss your "ish"es your ":3" and your Sexy cat stories too much^^ But we will always have here I guess <(^_^)^ and sorry in advance is my post is a big incohierant rant, I haven't been sleeping good the last week^^;
Edit: arg, I must remember to disable smilies =P It ruins my Kirbys <(>.<)>

Kristof~taru! get your butt back before everyone I know disappears! ; ;
Seriously though, the breakup of CM is total. I think Ihsan even took away all the pearlsacks to make it a final (or at least mine). Here I've been on the gil making grind with only my fellow linkshellians to keep me cheerful and then my pride and joy breaks up :-( . I've been on that LS group since day 2 when it was TheOrder, I feel like my kitties died or something.
For the time being I shall be hanging out with the WindurstianSpecialForces if anyone desperatly needs my comany. However, as much as I like these guys it means I shan't be able to poke fun at the silly Glorfindel elf or Sarevok ninja, or any of the other unfortunataru non-Windurstains that I have come to love that were with Crescent Moon.
So I propose a simple solution to the dillema, elect Typotaru as supreme dictator of Vana'deil. It might be the 1am talking, but I can'taru think of any other person in a better position to reform we hopelessly lost Linkshellians. As contrary as it might be to the Typoish's solitary nature, I think he might be the perfect Taru to form a new LS, he has the overwhelming Charisma (ya! Signa camping Taru!), he has the fame, and the love of an entire race of kitties :D.
So what say ye oh greataru? I'm certain if you raillied us under your flag that Vana'deil would know the might of a Typo led LS. I suppose it may be wishful thinking and a bitaru of loneliness on my part that demands this suggestion. However, I'd like the general Typo~fan communtity to voice thier opinion as to wether or not a new LS should be formed, under Typo's guidance. Shall it be the 4th generation since the game started in North America that this particular LS group should endure? All I can say, is that if Typo were to form an LS I'd follow our leader even to the depths of hell (or even worse Valkrum).
Well now ish the time for me to shut up and sleep.

<(^_^)^ A Typotaru, Mithra Liking, crazy LS would be awesome~!^^ hehe, However just so you know, Derutaru has a LS that many of the older and cooler members of CM are going to now and there has been an overwhelming cry that we get you to join <(^_~)> So think about it ok?^^

Very sad to see CM dissolve. I got back into this after two months of working out of town and two of my LS dried up. I need to go shopping around for new pearls.
(By the way, never leave for two months. Not a single person in my level range knows who I am and I have been LFG for 2 days straight >.< Unless you are a ranger, or any other non-monk type of job. As a monk you are doooomed )

Hmm.... Derutaru duly noted. Don't wory Thornn for some odd reason everyone wants a level 55 thief. I have to go /anon all the time just in the hopes that I don't offend anyone by constantly turning down invite offers. Damn you shineys and how I need you! (1.8 million down 11.9 to go ; ; inflation sucks)

Cania: lol that is so depressing. So it looks like just drg and mnk are the two jobs doomed to wander aimlessly between parties. Finding a party is like pulling teeth (on a good day) for monks. The good news is with all the downtime I have made lots of gil so I have all the optimal gear (except scorp harness). So you sit there staring at 1.3 million gil and all your cool gear, and yet are still totally depressed and contemplate quitting. It's an odd feeling... thriving yet a total failure.

hehe, as you know Typo I have switched (yet again^^) to BLM. Was wondering if maybe you could pull yourself away from that evil Hoo Mjuu for a bit and help an old Taru friend with the Moldavite Earring?^^ hehe <(O.o)> If you dont really want to dont feel bad for saying no, Its okies~ I'm sure I can find a few people to help =D It would just be more fun with Typo there~! <(^_^)^
Even with Typo we'd still need a tank, or a competent RDM of lvl65+, and if you had one of the above, you wouldn't need Typo. ":3

You know, Typo had alot taru say before todey, but I drawing a blank right now. I'm miserable. Perhaps a few days with no LS at all will cool me down.
Maybe I go solo BST later. At least if it ish only Typo I'm guaranteed to be spending time with someone that doesn't irritate me.
All HNM linkshells are the same.
"They are at war with us, so we must war with them!" Reading my reactions taru failed relations with such LS's in the past months should indicate that I've had a hunch about this for a while. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately, I don'taru know yet) 'Your Fantasy' proved Typotheory once again. All HNM linkyshells taru the same. They are all competetive, determined, dedicated and devoted to their own respective exclusive groups. That much ish elementary and expected, however, they are also children. They bicker, even amongst each other. They whine when they fail. They blame everyone but themselves. They have no sense of etiquette and support HNM stealing and MPK, attempting taru justify their behaviour by putting a positive spin on the situation (eg: as though MPKing gilsellers ish any different from doing the same to any other LS), they bad-talk and disrespect other linkyshells within the closed, protected environment of their own, where their victims cannot defend themselves. Cowards. Immature.
And all for gil.
You will not convince Typo that you are "just having fun" when your nature is taru better yourself at the expense of others. Quite frankly, none of my former "leaders" ish that good of a liar. Anyone claiming that their incessant pillaging of rotting HNM carcass ish merely for "fun" is either a newbie to this scene, or trying taru BS you something hardcore.
All HNM linkshells are the same. They will enter the high level scene as humble, eager new potential talent, and become big-headed and arrogant enough to outright berate others, some of them will do it despite the fact that the best they can do ish Serket. "Serket Breaker". Heh. What an accomplishment. Are there even as many as a literal handful of NA linkyshells who can do better ?:/ Doubtful. How many linkyshells of this nature actually stick together long enough to be able taru climb the ranks
Yesterday, someone Typo used to respect told me that becasue other LS's commit such crimes as MPK and NM stealing, that ish perfectly fine for her and the gang taru follow suit. I suppose if someone murdered a family member of yours it'd be completely within your right taru return the favour. Two wrongs make a right, and you are a "pussy" to just "sit there and take it". Another "friend" made it clear that if her immaturity (although she did not admit it as such) and that of her friends' wasn't acceptable, she could always be b-listed. The bulk of HNM linkshells are composed of people like this, and your leader will instigate and encourage more such behaviour.
Being of higher convention, Typo cannot exist in such an environment. I don't practise elevating my name above others', but in this case, how could I not ?._. I'm ashamed of ever having been a part of such riff-raff, and that goes for all 4 of my former HNM LS's. Worse yet, because of my lack of experience and interest at this point, I could do no better. -.-
Is the concept of a body of people at or nearing the end-game stages, allying and forming a linkyshell which actually promotes decorum so impractical that no one even tries anymore?
I feel too bitter to even equip a regular linkshell right now.
One more thing. There are some who would read this and react in a "Welcome to reality! Get over it!" fashion. You try getting over losing friends and community spirit to others' greedy, power-hungry impulses, then perhaps you can come to Typo with your talk.

I WAS kind of surprised when you told me yesterday that you were going after Serket... Especially since I know how you feel about such LSes already...
Ayko also seems to be feeling the same about it, she often talks about how high-level players tend to become arrogant and unrespectful about pretty much anything...
Sometimes I wonder if I even WANT to go past level 60...Meh.
I know that when I was mining in Gusgen Mines, I would never steal from anyone , even the gil-sellers that were stealing from me... And in time, I even saved them from aggro and with the passing days, from seeing me again and again, they progressively stopped stealing from me... One of the Lucks, Luckstar, even sent me a tell in Engrish saying " We no steal from you because you're good people "
I don't know if that makes me a better person than those guys, and frankly speaking, I don't really care, but I guess that what I'm trying to tell you, Typo, is that if you and I won't partake in such madness, then there HAS GOT to be others on Cerberus as well. The thing is, we just didn't meet them yet. And besides, do we REALLY need to hunt HNMs ? Oh, maybe for a few drops...Well, that's something we'll deal it when we ACTUALLY NEED those drops, and as far as I know, it's nowhere anytime soon, and for both of us.
Oh, that reminds me, apparently you know of my friendly PLD rival, Daison. He sent me a tell, being surprised that we knew each other, that one made me chuckle a bit :)
And speaking of PLD... I FINALLY managed, after 2 weeks and begging and pleading (God I hate pleading for help, but it's not like I can actually do coffer key hunting on my own ; ;), to have help with my last coffer...Darn key dropped after 4 hours of bashing Demons and Ahrimans, but it went much easier than what my LS friends said it would. I kept telling them they were VT at best for me but for some odd reason, they seemed reluctant...Maybe it's because it was in the dreaded Castle Zvahl Bailey's, who knows ? Anyhow, at first I wasn't able to get my coffer because I couldn't figure out how to reach 2 of the spawn points (For those who don't know, Castle Zvahl is a maze that's built like a mirror, it's very confusing at first, but once you understand how it's built, finding your way is a snap ), so I spent 2 stacks of Powders and Oils without finding it, but when I came back after restocking, I figured out how to cover all 8 spawn points, so it was just of matter of time to get it, and 30 minutes later, there it was. Yes, AT LAST, NO MORE FRIGGIN' COFFERS FOR ME !!! Boy, does it feel good. Sure, I will still have to help many friends with their keys, but that won't bother me, and for 2 reasons :
1- I'm always willing to help my friends.
2- It's an excellent way to do some skill-up...My Shield, Parry and Healing can ALWAYS take profit from that.
Anyway, now "all" I have to do is the NM fight in Davoi...which requires an alliance *sigh*. That means a few more hours of shouting and begging in Jeuno ...Grrr... Oh well, I'm so close now, I can only hope I'll manage to do it. With luck, maybe I'll get it done this week-end...that would be SO GREAT *sigh* ...

Hello! Typo~Taru! I meant to post this yesterday, but for some reason the site wouldn't let me on. Sadly I am quitting the game but before I go I wanted to give you a pearl to the Farewell contests I'm holding. By the way thanks for your comments on the Alakazam post :) gave me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. If you get the chance I'll find you or you find me in game and I'll get you the pearl from which I'll be posting the date of the contests.
If Kristof or Thornn are reading or anyone else that I may have missed for that matter. I've posted what the contests intail on the Alakazam Cerbreus forums and my reasons for leaving in a big old (and marked so you can avoid it) rant. I still need to get people thier pearls so help me help you and find me ;)
I WAS kind of surprised when you told me yesterday that you were going after Serket... Especially since I know how you feel about such LSes already...
Yeah, Typo neglected taru mention anywhere that he'd been trying to get back into the HNM game by occasionally going on Simurgh hunts with YF. I desperately needed (still do) a hefty sum, and so I dusted off the mage robes and donned me old wizard's hat once again.
Ayko also seems to be feeling the same about it, she often talks about how high-level players tend to become arrogant and unrespectful about pretty much anything...
Sometimes I wonder if I even WANT to go past level 60...Meh.
A certain circle of high-levels, not all of them, just a moderataruly sized group of them have these arrogant tendancies - ish just that when the good guys enter into their realm they get spoiled and convert to bigotry. That has been Typo's experience, anyway, watching friends slip away into a state of intolerance for anyone or thing below level 65. -.-
The process of leveling beyond level 60 was fun at times for Typo. Most of the time you'll see recurring characters in your PTs and form bonds with them that can lead to meeting their friends and entering another linkyshell community/social circle. It isn't all bad, until you get taru HNM.
I guess that what I'm trying to tell you, Typo, is that if you and I won't partake in such madness, then there HAS GOT to be others on Cerberus as well.
Yesh, many cutthroat HNMers are on the hunt for coveted drops that aren't otherwise or easily obtainable, but the majority are after gil. Typo falls intaru the latter for now. Ish an "easy" way taru fill the bank. I'm sure that most would rather partake in epic battles with powerful creatures in a strong alliance, and possibly make a few hundred thousand or more per run, than sit on their asses all day camping Lizzy, Emperor, or in Typo's case Hoo Mjuu the Snoozer. I gave up after becoming 2/35.
An alliance of 10 at level 65 could effortlessly dismantle Simurgh. Strider Boots are now between 6 - 7 million, netting each member at least 600k for a real non-issue of a battle. He isn't very heavily camped, either. Before these high-level communities start to rot, HNM ish a fun and interesting experience. 'Course, once you realize how good you have it, you may get greedy.
I often wonder how it is with Dynamis.
Oh, that reminds me, apparently you know of my friendly PLD rival, Daison. He sent me a tell, being surprised that we knew each other, that one made me chuckle a bit :)
Nice guy. Calls Typo (Tonberry). I consider it a compliment, considering he ish elvaan and therefore easily mistakened for a (dhalmel). I met him when I joined Lunacat's linkyshell. Small world, eh ?:3

I'm probably going to try to finish my AF3 tomorrow evening, so that pretty much tells you when. I'll hardly believe it if I actually get my Surcoat tomorrow evening, but hey, there's always hope. After that, it's another 10k exp before I reach 60 and can wear it. ><
And as far as HNM are concerned to me...Well...once I reach level 61, I must go back to SAM to get it to 18 (at 14 now) then WAR at 37. That will take a little while on its own, considering the unpopularity of Warriors. Meh. But I suppose that once I get around 65 or so I'll end up fighting some of them.

I understand what you mean Typo. This game seems to be taking a rather seedy, and negative turn lately. I have been feeling lost ever since I came back. I can't explain it but it feels like the game has changed in some untangeable way. Plus, my good friends are dropping right and left, flocking to that stupid WoW and EQ2 and they all want Kristaru to follow them but I just can't~ I do not want to leave again.
Cania's leaving has been making me feel so very depressed in particular. I can't even really explain it. I mean, I have known Cania for a while and I've always enjoyed her company on the LS but we have never been *very* close. But something about her leaving is just erking me beyond imagination and this whole "win a million gil" contest thing she's doing is just making me want to rip my hair out, and I dont know why at all, I can't describe it.
Plus out of all the people I know that are Up in the 65+, you are the only one I know that I can still really count on. I know requests for help can be rather annoying, but at least you will respond. Many people that I know, and thought I was rather good friends with wouldn't even respond if I asked them if they wanted to go on a Temple of Uggalepih coffer key hunt. That just hurts, makes me want to cry. I have no problems with people that do not want to help for one reason or another, but if you dont even have the decency to respond to a tell (and I know they aren't AFK) than that is just depressing. Thanks again for the AF2 help Typo, it really brightened my day.
Sorry if I'm ranting or whatever but its like I can't even describe the way I'm really feeling, I just know I'm not feeling right about the game, and I dont know what to do to fix it.

Typo that was the most twisted "poem" I've ever read ^^ So you finally tried out mining! Of all the mundane gil farming methods I find it the most exciting, like lotto scratch tickets every time you see the green text of a mine point in the distance. You can't yell "Woot" when you pull yet another moat carp out of a bog... but when an adaman ore shows up.... wow. And last I checked, you can get that fishing rod for about 30 admaman ore or 10,000 rotten carp.
For added excitememnt there is imminent death waiting around every corner in the volcano!
As for Cania, very sorry to hear you're calling it quits. I'm just getting over a real bitter streak myself (and so sorry if some of it brushed off on you or anyone else this last week or two). This is a very trying time for the FFXI community and the usual fun and sillyness you hear in LS chatter has turned to talk of gil sellers and jumping ship. I personally cannot wait till december for this period of uncertainty to end. WoW will have claimed its victims and the gil sellers will have a new world to exploit. Only now they'll be called "gold coin seller guys" or whatever the new currency is over there >.>
And Kristof I truly hope I wasnt one of the people you had contacted for help and not get a reply... If I was in jeuno and LFG I am very unreliable to contact. Those LFG sessions have gone on for hours.. days lol.

Now I understand why your LS mates replied "Typo, please hide the Mithra..." when we went to Davoi :)
Thanks again, Kristof. Annoying ? Heh, you've only seen ONE PART of it...It took me 2 weeks just to be able to get help with the coffer part, and it took 4 hours of demon and ahriman killing...
It wasn't even over after the 2 NMs fights ( Bloodust actually invited me because of you, Typo, that means I'm supposed to thank you lol ). And boy, what a fight it is :p The first one was almost chaotic, because we didn't concentrate on the RNG first, and then other orcs spawned and linked. However, the second time, we timed the clearing of the area and we concentrated on the RNG while one tank and a healer kept the PLD busy. Those 2 NMs really are as they say : The RNG hits hard ( I got hate after a fully-powered Spirits Within and it was easily hitting me for 250 :p ) but actually goes down easily while the PLD doesn't really hit hard but man, won't he ever go down ? He even can and WILL use Invincible ; ; You'd almost think it is immortal...
Anyway, after that I was to San d'Oria, Jugner Forest, then San d'Oria again. Seeing 2 very good cutscenes that once again reminded me of why I am a PLD ( Quoting an NPC from the quest : " No, the strong doesn't win fights...the righteous does ! " ) , I became a Paragon of Paladin Excellence and was awarded my Gallant Surcoat.
...
It may be because those quests annoyed me so much, but even though the Surcoat is in my inventory and ready to be equipped in 10k exp, I can hardly believe I'm actually DONE with AFs ... Yeah, as I said, I'll have to go key hunting and such to help friends that will eventually need it, but just knowing that I won't need it for myself anymore...is such a freedom.
Heh, what's next ? Getting to 60, doing Genkai III and leveling WAR...

I wish I was a mage though, because I can't mine in Ifrit`s Cauldron.
But hey, it's not that bad, still.
I finished Genkai III yesterday, I ended with a small alliance for the Oztroja part but the Davoi and Beadeaux parts were a joke to do alone. So I'm going up to 61 then PLD gets a well-deserved rest. Indeed, I'll have to work on SAM and WAR. That will take a while, and I'll miss PLD though ; ;

0. Unless you're some kinda resourceful high-level PLD/RDM/BST/THF, you'll most likely get 1-shotted by a Volcanic Gas anyway. Typo as WHM gets clobbered for over 400 HP in a normal hit. Field gear makes you weak. ;3
And the main reason I've never tried Ifrit's mining before ish that I never knew that any level adventarurer could safely do it, provided they can sneak/invis/tonko. Definitely beats cap fishing, but can it beat Lu Shang's? Typo shall find out next week probably. \(*'-')/

You should share some of that with mama. ;) :p
I probably spent a good amount of time today working on missions cuz Evad kept pushing me to do them. :p And where has it gotten me? Stuck. Alexiel mama dun do missions for that reason. After I get back from the Inner Horutoto Ruins, who am I supposed to talk to? I tried talking to the guards, the cat burgular and the taru in Windy Waters and NOTHING! I asked 4 people including my dear Typo-son and nothing.. I sent two shouts out and nothing. So I said screw it and went to watch TV. If anyone knows, please lemme know. ;)
Heathermamacat, Dave tells you taru do missions because you can't really progress through the game/plot without doing them. You'll also need Rank 5 in order to ride the airship. I guess if that doesn'taru appeal taru you you could always skip missions, but at least up until Rank 5 missions are useful. Not necessarily fun, but useful. ;3
Ooooh. I might have to try it out. But I heard the bombs aggro on magic... is Tonko still an option? >.>
You'll have plenty of safe spots and not-so-safe-but-adequate spots taru recast your stealth spells. Only thing ish healthy mining points (points that allow for more than 3 axe swings) that are close to bombs.. You'll need to swing twice or 3 times, then find a place to run to recast invis. Typo carries a stack of silent oils (6k) and prism powders (5k) for emergencies, but usually I just keep behind the bombs and avoid aggro without having to use too many. Bombs don't aggro Tonko, so ish useful in that respect. Typo too impatient to level NIN for it, though, and I also wouldn't have any Warp as WHM/NIN. Not buying instant warp scrolls, either. ":3
...Although, Mijin Gakure could work... hmm. ;3
[EDIT] oh wait, you can't use subjob's 2hr. How Typo forget ?:3
Oh,
for mining there ish a "3 swings rule" that people will refer to that says "bombs always stay still long enough for you to mine 3 times". That's a pretty bogus rule. While it is the case most of the time, alot of bombies will turn on ya as soon as you begin the 3rd swing and laugh at your face kissing the mud. 2 ish the safest number. ;3
Todey in 3 hours of mining Typo found 1 adaman and 1 orihalcum.
Add 220,000 to me current gil count~

EXACTLY !
But not only that, there is no reason NOT to have a higher Rank on its own.
1- The higher your Rank, the longer signet lasts.
2- Longer signet = less recasting it, more crystals, more conquest points, more of regional influence your home country has, more things available to buy from NPCs in your home country, and bragging rights for currently being first in conquest.
3- Higher Rank = Better items available to buy with CP, some of them REALLY being worth it, depending on your job and/or your home country. For example, I sure like my current mantle, the Republican Army Mantle. A great mantle that will last almost until the end of my PLD career. Also, by buying higher level items, you rise in "unofficial rank" in your home country's army. For example, buying the mantle made me become a "Musketeer Commander". That's not that much useful but hey, how's that for a cool title ? :p
4- Rank 3 = Ability to join Expeditionary Forces. These are a BLAST. Basically, you get into an alliance, get into a territory, and fight for your country to reclaim a specific region. What does it give you ? Personal glory for succeeding it but most importantly, 3000 conquest points if you manage to give the region back to your country at the next tally.
5- Rank 3 = Able to get a Ballista License. I've yet to try that one ( I have my license but haven't taken part in an actual match yet ), but I'll definitely do it sometime.
6- Rank 5 = Airship Pass. What's there to say ? To get it, you have 2 options : Get rank 5, or pay 500k...your choice, but I believe it's a no-brainer.
7- Rank 6 = Ability to do the Rise of the Zilart Missions, which will in time enable you to go to Tu'Lia, the land of the gods, and where most level 70+ go for exp. Not only that, but the story of the game ( Yeah, there actually IS one. ) starts taking shape when you get Rank 3 and really gets interesting as you get Rank 5 and 6 and do the Zilart missions. Rank 7 to 10 were added later, as a side thing to do, but still they shoud be done, for reasons stated above. And trust me, you WANT to go fight the Shadow Lord, it's one of the coolest fights ever you'll have in this game. Isn't that right, Typo ?
This isn't only for you, Heather, it's for everyone that gets behind in their Rank. Having an up-to-date rank is no less important than leveling your sub-job. And you REALLY, REALLY, should get Rank 3 NOW before anything else. Why ? The Dragon boss fight at the end of the final mission caps you at 25. Now is the time to do it, while most, if not all, of your gear is compatible.
As for your current mission :
After you went to a Mahogany door, located in G-8 and get a cutscene, you have to follow Ajido-Marujido to the House of the Hero which is...somewhere in Windurst (Hey, that's your home country, not mine, so you should know where it is.) After that, go back to the Optistery and talk to Tosuka-Porika. That should be it for this mission. ( How come a Bastokan like me has to tell a Windurstian missions I'm not even supposed to know...go figure. )
After that, trade 3 or 4 stacks of crystals. You can skip the "A testing time" mission, what you want is to go straight for "The Three Kingdoms". That mission will require you to go to both San d'Oria and Bastok, and the order in which you choose to go will affect what you have to do. I'd suggest, since you are level 27 now and shouldn't get aggro doing that part, that you go to Bastok first. I know I told Mogknight to do the opposite back then, but then he was around level 22 or 23 when he did it. Since you won't get aggro while refining sand ( and at worst if you see some EPs, just cast sneak, Quadavs are blind ), it should be easier for you. However, I believe getting a party to fight the Dragon in San d'Oria is usually harder than in Bastok. So, your choice.

Lol... Good to hear you're enjoying the volcano typo!
Subbing ninja is optional and much safer, but it is also cost effective compared to prism poweder. Actually of equal importance is their "stealth" passive trait which makes hostile enemies less likely to notice you. Best off all, you get these important traits by level 9. Thats it!
Cheap non-magical invis, and a form of "presence mask" that will let you get off that 3rd or 4th swing in there more often. All from a level 9 subjob!
And Sneak is only a L20 rdm/whm spell, so a L20 rdm/nin is all it takes to get maximum return from cauldron mining. Plus at 20 you can take the chocobo deep into the jungle to get there in the first place. And if you die, L20 only loses a trivial amount of exp. Never mine with your real job, where 2k exp loss due to a slip up is a tragedy. Agro in there is usually death for any level and you usually wont get time to warp, so go in with the minimum.
Taking a mage to 20 is pretty painless, but be sure to pad it with exp. If you die too much, a 5 minute trip from kazham gets you back to Qufim, where a low 20's whm will get an invite in ohhh, say about 8 seconds...
So go and enjoy, but please dont bring your entire LS... lol. Typo doesnt need the competition.

See ? It wasn't that painful :p And congrats on your Rank 3.
Don't worry, I won't bug for rank 4 until a few more levels, but if you want a good reference :
Level 35-40 = You should go get Rank 4.
Level 40+ = Rank 5
Level 50 = Do Mission 5-1 (level cap 50)
Level 55= Go fight the Shadow Lord and get Rank 6.
That's pretty much it, really. So now you can go back to getting WHM to 30 for now, happy ? lol

lol Does the Lu Shang really looks different when you're fishing or you can only tell when we /check you ?
Anyway, I'm taking a week off FFXI, for my coming exam on next Wednesday.
I finished leveling SAM to sub to WAR and I worked on Great Axe, too, so I started working on my real sub. I got it midway into level 33 now. I'm glad to see the combo works well though. I'm even surprised at how well I can "tank" even with Berserk on O_o I mean, sure I can't take damage as well but since I do more damage I actually can hold hate surprisingly well for a post-30, 2H weapon wielding ( I use both Great Axe and Great Sword, depending on the members we have and the aimed SC. ) and non-tanking WAR. Sure, the mob still sometimes goes after the mages but a temporary voke from anyone else works too. Therefore, two WARs that work together usually can be all the tanking a party needs. I've played PLD for so long that I forgot how much a GOOD Warrior can actually be good. I was starting to recently remember it after having a WAR/NIN named Batosia in some of my parties, though. He would hit so hard with his Dual Wield Axes that, combined with +enmity AF, he would sometimes steal hate from me but simply temporarily blink tank to allow me to reclaim hate ( Never took more than a few seconds, but still ).
In short, I recently rediscovered how much I loved Warrior...but make no mistake, I'm a Paladin through thick and thin, and will always prefer that job over any other. I actually enjoyed Samura while I leveled it to 18, too.
Anyway, 3 and a half levels then I can take Paladin all the way to the top. But after I'm done with Warrior, I might actually devote myself to a craft. Indeed, it's about time I try to explore that for real and I've decided that maybe I'll give cooking a go. Being able to cook my own food could be good. I'm aiming at making my own Boiled Crab, specifically. That means that if I do decide to work on cooking, I'll try raising it at around 30. But we'll see about that, maybe I'll try hitting 65 as Paladin first, once I'm done with Warrior. All of that will be decided in only a week though.

You forgot how we partied too. ;)
I started the Lu Shang quest exactaruly 1 week and 4 days ago (Tuesday Nov. 23rd). As of this morning Typo has helped Mr. Dhalmel by handing him 8000 moat carp behid his brother's back.
Me estimates were quite off. Carpies are worth 5-6k/stack nowadays, which would have been considered a crime in the old days... Ish typical that such things appreciate in value when Typo ish not trying taru profit from them >.>;;
Anyway, without having to go intaru too much of an explaination I'll just say that I'll need to do some more mining to reach me target of - 540k - and I actually looking forward to going back taru the volcano! I missed it dearly these past few days... ; ;
Typo'sh aiming to be a legendary Lu Shang fisher in the next 3 days at the very worst, making me one of few who can claim to have "picked up" the coveted ultimate rod in a mere fortnight~!
lol Does the Lu Shang really looks different when you're fishing or you can only tell when we /check you ?
You'd have taru check Typo to know I have it. ;3
Congratarulations on your progress with WAR and SAM! Reading your post brings back memories of decent PTs with 2 WAR mains sharing the hate and making life fairly easy for Typo, the WHM. "X3 I think maybe I miss those mid levels where leveling isn't such a chore. I dunno. ":3
Good luck with your exam. ^^
Gorgeous! Typo found this:
We PTed together when we were leveling our earlier jobs! This was almost a year ago, taken in January. To think Typo and kitty go back that far! Digging up old piccies ish neato. ^^;
Speaking of Typokitty piccies, we met in Jeuno the other night to take some piccies in Ru'lude! I too sleepy right now though, so I get them up tomorrow and get working on kitty's siggy. Typo promise! ; ; *licky*

Ah yeah, I forgot, I partied with Heather on my first party as WAR since I'm working back on it. And to be honest, she did quite good. I sure won't go as far as saying she's the best I've seen but she definitely doesn't have to be ashamed of herself. I hope you'll have a blast as Summoner, Heather.
My second party took place in Eastern Altepa Desert. It would have been awesome if it weren't of people's stupidity ( long story... ) but instead I ended up with barely average exp. Anyway, as I said, I'm midway into 33, and the goal is 37.
Speaking of piccies, I realized I haven't taken any pictures of you, Typo. I need to remedy to that sometime.

I want a custom avatar and sig, too. Will you make me one, Typo ?
Thing is, we won't have the chance to see each other until later this week-end or the next week.
Not only was I going to stop for a week because of my exam, but now I might have something that'll keep me away from my PS2 for a couple more days. We have learned this morning that my cousin, who was my age, died in a car accident. Depending on when the funeral is, I might simply pass by Sherbrooke where my "toys" are for a few hours :P Anyhow, we'll see.

Go to a Weather NPC in bastok, the old lady by the Bastok Mines entrance from Bastok Markets is best.
Valkrum dunes will have it every so often, but Altepa Desert is the real one, it has heat about every few hours. Check with the NPC on which day it will appear and just wait for it or fish in Rabao until the day comes up, just stay around the zone and nab fire when it comes up.
Typo is a taru too rich for his own good, now I miss the volcano in which I mined my first good ores. To bad they are nearly worthless compared to the pre-summerfest event, orichalcum ore was over 280k a piece then, and Adaman was 220k.

To bad they are nearly worthless compared to the pre-summerfest event, orichalcum ore was over 280k a piece then, and Adaman was 220k.
I wasn't paying attention...which event ?:3 And which server ?:o
And from the other thread~:
Lol ya I was....you are too rich, every time I go there some idiot steals my point or I have to Chainspell out. Volcanic Bombs have killed me as I chainspelled out before, which is very odd considering they are only VT.
There is better money in digging anyways though, I know people who have dug up several elemental ores in minutes in the right areas at the right time and in the right spot. Still three light elemental ores yield 600k+ while all the other stuff she got added up to a million easy.
You say Typo ish too rich, then you tell me there ish even more to be made in digging. "X3 Personally, I believe I deserved to come into this kind of money a very, very long time ago, so any comments about me about being rich ish met with me response, "it's about time." :3
Also, it seems to me that digging ish more trouble than it's worth to begin with, especially with having a chocobo digging level to raise. Since Typo will be busy with taking fishing and woodworking skills to higher levels soon, the last thing I need ish to have another skill to worry about leveling, especially when digging, like mining revolves around a certain degree of luck anyway. So me stick to mining for now~ 200 - 500k per day (usually 6 hours at max, sometimes give or take a couple) suits Typo quite nicely for now. ;3
Typo won the lucky roll last night. ;3 10k + Light Cluster. Speaking of which, mama, how did Rabao treat you last night ?;3

Yay for carby! That is the rat that almost killed me in dynamis....beware the little rat's two hour, it dealt basically 1300 damage to me, luckily I had tons of buffs to asborb it, many others weren't so lucky.
Chocobo Digging is a 3 month affair....but can be well worth it.
Well Summerfest took place in around July, must have been before you joined. It was a killer for the mining economy on all servers. Espically Pandemonium which Adaman ore prices sunk lower then 70k a piece and Orichalcum was commonly around 90k. Lvl 1's were mining with equip in Ifrit with no exp loss, infinite sneak and invis and since it was infinite sneak they could avoid the bombs and mine up to hundreds of points if at full, then the next hour or whenever could get back in and then mine mine mine.....it killed the mining industry, over 5 months the prices are steadily climbing back up, about 1k a week. Though hundred of ores are consumed a month, the prices are pretty constant....

Nu "X3 Typo wasn't paying attention as in, I didn't waste me time with summerfest, and didn't know how mining came intaru the equation. I've been around since the NA release of FFXI. :3

Not sure if adaman and orichalcum ores were ever as valuable on Cerberus as they seem taru be on your server, but nowadays both are around 120k in Jeuno~

Well, nyau, it looks like I'll have taru wait another few days for fishing rod. The fact that I have 3 exams to study for (one of which was today) has slowed me down alot more than I expected.
New deadline for quest completion ish Thursday.
Typo ish terminally burned out when it comes to mining. I can't do this much longer, but even after Lu Shang I'll still need taru make some cash before I can do something "constructive". "X3 Although I missed the actual volcano setting, I realized during a brief mining session todey that I really really need to get out of these smelly oily greens and return taru the shiny-armoured fray of battle. Sadly, after having taken such an extensive hiatus from me latest discipline, I've actually lost some of that passion I once possessed for BST. It also doesn'taru help that me Lunakitty has disappeared and I miss her so...
Fortunately there's some good in all of this. For once I actarully feel enthusiastic about venturing into other job disciplines...THF, NIN, RNG, WAR, MNK... There has been a sudden resurgence of motivation within me lately. Perhaps me newly-found fortune was the pick-me-up this little tarutaru needed all this time, or could this just be a passing phase :O
Whatever it is, Typo hope it lasts..

Typo the monk! Taru brawlers are always fun, but the job in general would be traumatic for you after making the transition from BST. You go from being the cool taru nomad who can exp at will to a depressed boxer that no one will like till L60 >.<
But there are many benefits to the lonely life of mnk. Monk activities include sweeping your sidewalk while waiting for invite, doing dishes while waiting for invite, and processing tax forms on those quiet days in lower jeuno. ^^
Rangers seem like much happier people, their downfall being poverty. You solved that problem recently so go shoot stuff. Be a taru gunslinger ^^ Maybe you could keep the fungus hat? It would go with the mysterytaru gunslinger theme. Cats around the world will love you for it. (more so)

MNK's main sexiness factor ish me backflip! But of course that doesn't come until later on in tarumnk's career ; ;
Honestly Typo ish leaning more towards NIN (may surprise some, seeing as BLM tend to be pro-PLD ;3), RNG, THF, WAR, possibly in that order. :3 They also compliment each other nicely, job/sub-wise.
Whatever I choose, nobody knows until I stick it in here !;3

Why am I spending so much time staring at my avatar (

). Could it be the light in which I captured Typo...no, the lighting effect I created for him, that just so happens to produce such a cheeky, almost sinister aura about him? I love that expression he's wearing. He somehow reminds me of SNK's Rugal Bernstein.

So I woke up not too long ago and read this (
http://www.playonline.com/updateus/041209we8yu0.html). Kinda wondering about what effect this will have on mining, and if it'll help congestion in Ifrit's at all. After all, ish not hard taru just zone out and then back in again after a lap around the volcano...
Also, thieves are so owned in Oz. ;3
And then I read through the update again to find:
The buying price for the following items has been adjusted:
Black Sole/Silver Shark/Bastore Bream
In the history of FFXI updates, the word "adjusted" has always meant something horribly morbid for legitimate players. Keep in mind that botters and gilsellers continue to thrive after these "fixes" (read: NERFS).
It is now possible that after all my time, effort, and nearly 3 million gil, the Lu Shang instrument is now worthless.
But we'll see what really transpires after the update. I'm completely nonplused.

how long do the updates take? i have been on 36% for about 30 minutes now and i'm not sure if it has crashed or not and i dont want to cancel it just incase it hasnt
POL update took about 20 mins on a shoddy ADSL connection. The first few files are rather large, so at first it'll seem like the total update will take a while longer.
Tried to d/l the FFXI update, but constant errors make it pointless to try now.
Guess Typo will have to wait another few hours before realising his fate.

I guess even Typo panicattacks (see what me do there? I give cookie if you guess!) like everyone else sometimes too. After holding a proper rest, something I haven't experienced for a while contrary taru what you might think, I've mellowed a bit.
I won't address much of the update at all, aside from the fact that I'm liking the drastic new food changes (
http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=10&mid=1102622010167366648&num=53), especially varying durations and levels of effectiveness (food "caps" (
http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=24&mid=1102609202136207345&num=0), essentially) depending on one's job, level, and stats. Releasing meself from mining and taking to Sarutabaruta once again as a humble lowbie might prove taru be more entertaining than I anticipated~! Typo gets to visit his old friends back home in Windy. "X3
Riding the post-update aftershock, Lu Shang fishers are holding ontaru their rods and monitoring unfolding developments in the market due to the culinary guild's apparent hiring of new chefs. :3 So far one or two prospects (the meal sole sushi being one of them) are promising positive results for fishypeople, black sole fishers in this case. Perhaps the instrument of everyone's desire will be restored to its former prosperitaruty in due time. For now, Typo will hold ontaru his gil rather than complete me former objective, and dedicate a fair amount to trying something new.
I've realized that in order for me to keep wanting to stick around I need to diversify me life a little. :3 There ish no real story behind the decision I've made, just a feeling that me next job choices (yesh, plural) will be plenty refreshing for everyone's favourite Typo~.
I'm still a BSTaru, I have not quit. However, until me silly tarupal (and formerly that silly BSThume Saboak!) Inigo reaches 39 BST and can duo, Typo will be practicing on his punchingbags in moggiehouse by night, and taking it to the innocent wildlife out in the fields after breakkies~!

Shuuuush! That one was for private use only! >_<
Had a catdream about super fun happy things. Typo stay in bed a little longer than usual. Happy nau ?:3
Seems like every job change for Typo is a breath of fresh air for me, and WAR ish no exception! Early training has never been so easy, not even with BST.. ._. There ish something about the simplicitaruty of warriors and monks that attracts Typo right now. Perhaps the answer ish that very simplicity, the ease (some would say "lack" X3) of actual effort of skill application that I will bask in for now, until the much more complicated days of NIN/WAR, and WAR/NIN that lay ahead in the recent future.
Instead of awkwardly jumping to NIN at this very moment, I plan taru experience the
pain thrill of both MNK and THF, each of which Typo will take all the way up to Qufim and level 25~. Seriously I'm very excited, especially as this marks a departure from what I've been used to for the past year: Typo + melee/tank + PT = SKY FALL + PIG FLY (an equation for Lunacat to solve ^^).
These will be me 2 fully-leveled subs for WAR, and it will provide me PTs from 30 - 50 with the handy choice between TypoDD and Typotank~ At least, that's what I think. "X3 If nothing else, at least I'll be able taru add 2 more jobs to me steadily growing resume, and at 50 WAR I can freely fade to shadow and go tenchu on beastman-butt! (How cheesy~!) \(*'-')/
Tomorrow I go to Ifrit's Belly and try taru fund meself for the next few weeks of leveling. Hopefully me make the usual 200k so I can get the Leaping Boots out of the way quickly. After that, ish time to put on the gloves!
--- --- ---
When Typo /attacks and /ranged at the same time, I try to throw me g.axe like a javolin, only taru end up stabbing me cutsie Typoface...
That's better. :3
Come taru think of it, these g.axes are a real kupo to hold... >.>;;;
But after a while I get used to it~ Shield break workss. :3

I GET IT~! Typo fighting stuff is the end of the world! ^_^
Typo hits like a little girltaru too, he's the only one that can melee along with his pet on BST =P I still pull hate at 40 >_<
I really really hope I can come back soon, this is killing me to be away from all of you guys so long >_< I actually want to get back to leveling, I have a whole bunch of jobs in the teens and 20's I wanna work on...
Monk! Bash things in the face! And not much else! Wheee!
White Mage! FEAR MAH HAMMA! (Oops, was I supposed to be curing? >.>)
Ranger! NIN sub! THF sub! Plus, I just look plain cool!
Ninja! Freakish gun-weilding shield Ninja!
Dragoon! /poke was never this much fun!
Yeah...then there's me other two mains, THF and BST...Thiefiness being a fairly high priority...and now that Oztroja will be empty thanks to the update, I can get me AF relatively easy ^_^ BST will be nice to get back to...I'm such a bum with it, I just hitch parties and make myself a DD >.> (BST/NIN dual weild AF Axe and a Great Club+1)

How ironic that your cam seemed to work perfectly fine on the Mithra, though... :p Darn, come on, what's all that fetichism about them ? I prefer female humes all the way. I kind of like female elvaans too, but Mithra ? Sure, they dress up sexy and all, but their purring prevents me from sleeping after we've had s... I mean, yeah, I still prefer humes :p
Yeah, yeah, I'll drop you a tell when I get back on, should be this evening. I've gotten WAR to 37 in 2 days of non-stop leveling, and by non-stop, that's about what it is, one party of 6 hours and one of 4 hours :p And to celebrate that, I bought myself a nice gift : SAVE THE QUEEN ! And at a nice "discount" price, a "mere" 100k :p What am I going to do now ? What else, level up to 65 so that I may equip this legendary sword of course :p
EDIT : Oh, yeah, Typo, next time you call my home nation a "ho-hume and fatties" city, I'll pin you little tonberry in the middle of a wall like some poster, then call in a Mithra who will slowly strip-tease in front of you, wear a whipped-cream "bikini", gets close to licking range and then...LEAVE YOU THERE, PINNED ON THE WALL, WHILE "I" GET TO LICK HER ! That'll show ya ^^
Catpurring should help you relax, silly. You've obviously never been with a cat! And uh...Bastok ish what Bastok ish, just as San d'Oria ish the dhalmel kingdom, and Windy the realm of sexies~ Don'taru be jealous!

lol No, we have 3 cats at home and let me tell you, catpurring does NOT make you sleep, you're the one that obviously knows nothing about cats ^^
You still don't get it :
Bastok is the proud mining republic of us humes and galka. While not as "green" as Windurst or San d'Oria, the town is extremely well laid-out, making it easy to navigate for first-timers. It's also the smithing and goldsmithing haven. Yeah, I know, a lot of humes don't respect the galka and enslave them in the mines, but this Paladin here respects them as his equal, Bastok would NEVER be what it is now without them. We had to adapt to the harsh climate and conditions of the barren mountains of Gustaberg to survive and flourish into the powerful nation that we are now. That's quite a feat. And don't talk to me about conquest here, we may be last right now but recently we were first half the time. And historically speaking, you owe the airship to Jeuno's wealth and Bastok's technology. Remember that. HAIL THE REPUBLIC !
San d'Oria is the dhal... I mean, Elvaan kingdom, surrounded by the beautiful forests of Ronfaure. Standard medieval kingdom, populated by tall people who abandoned the humes from the Tavanazian archipelago that was under their rule back during the crystal war. I sure wouldn't be proud about that. But hey, can't really blame them, the allied forces tried to help them and we failed as well... The Shadow Lord is that powerful you know :p
And then you got Windurst, hovel to tonberries and purring kitties that give insomnia... Yeah, you heard me right, hovel. I mean, come on, houses made of WOOD, surrounded by GRASS. Ever wondered what would happen if a mage that passes by accidentally casts Firaga on the wrong target ? :p Your town is so badly laid out and unnecessary spaced that you place tonberries to TELEPORT you around and avoid the hassle of working your little legs too much. What more do you need ? ^^ Oh yeah, so you're near the sea and fish a lot...But about only cats really like fish, I am FORCED to eat crab ONLY because it boosts my defense. If it were me, I'd go for poultry anytime :p
*Note to any offended dhalmel or tonberry or purring kitty : If you can't tell I'm playing with Typotonberry here ( even though Bastok still is the best nation by far ) and can't take humorous posts, please go roll over in the grass of Sarutabaruta or sleep in the shadows of Ronfaure's trees. Otherwise, if you wish to play along, feel free to reply, because it's plain fun to play with Typotonberry, since apparently his Typocam only works on Mithra ^^. Thank you.*

Our teleporters are busy casting Firaga on your hovel, tonberry ^^ Seriously, why would WE need teleporters in a well built city ? Walk a bit, you're getting so fat, all you tarus do is getting teleported and eating pies...no wonder you need a break and switch to melee jobs, but thing is, you're so fat you can barely swing your axe once ^^
Oh, Bastok has tradition and fun, example : Dances with the Quadav ( Best Vana d'iel movie EVER ^^ ), mining, smithing, doing the Bernie run, climbing moutains, etc. Unlike Windurst, though, we have tradition, fun AND technology.
Catpurring is catpurring, period. A cat purrs, a Mithra purrs. That's the same. Mithras are far more enjoyable, but real kitties are far cuter to just hold and hug ^^
Our teleporters are busy casting Firaga on your hovel, tonberry ^^ Seriously, why would WE need teleporters in a well built city ?
Well-built cities always offer alternative methods of travel within their boundaries. Excepting Jeuno. Not even the lushness and vibrance of Windy can beat that kind of mastaruful architecture. Still, no better place taru cool off and relax after that awful Valkurm PT, or better place taru party day or night after a frighteningly monsterous BLM PT than that same very humble "hovel"~^^
Walk a bit, you're getting so fat, all you tarus do is getting teleported and eating pies.
Kekeke, while you're calling us tarutaru "fat", remember the majority of those who have kept you alive for all this time, Paladin! Remember the ones who accentuate battles in more ways one can mention with varying forms of magic, and where this magic comes from! Of course any race and any nation can learn magic, but think of how far under you would be without us ?:3
Although not the most important topic, technology falls in various places where magic prevails. Airships vs tele-spells and warps, for one. Keke "X3
And have you been talking to Daison? He likes the word "tonberry" alot, too. You know the destruction that tonberries have always been capable of, as well as the fear the very mention of their name injects into the hearts of more than half the population of Vana'diel, yesh? *^^ Thankies very much for the compliment!
..no wonder you need a break and switch to melee jobs
/nodnod, indeed, just one example of the versatility of our nation and its people! Think of why it ish universally more accepted for tarus to melee, as opposed to non-tarus as casters. ;3

"Tradition" as in getting yourselves dirty, and "fun" as in killing. I see ^^
Typo cannot expect a hume taru understand the importance of carefreeness and emotion over physical labour, violence, and worldly things such as technology...but I still forgive you!

The majority of people that kept me alive were White Mages, other healers, and myself. Not all of them were Tarutarus, and considering I actually save others more often than I do get saved, it's only natural for me to be rescued. You Tarutarus weren't the ones who invented magic, the Zilart were. And guess what ? They look more like Humes than they do Tarutaru, don't they ?
And have you been talking to Daison? He likes the word "tonberry" alot, too. You know the destruction that tonberries have always been capable of, as well as the fear the very mention of their name injects on more than half the population of Vana'diel, yesh? *^^ Thankies very much for the compliment!
Of course I know Daison, he's my friendly dhalmel paladin rival. I've known him since a lot longer than you do, and my calling you tonberry was a direct reference to him. I thought you'd catch on faster, but hey, better late than never. Speaking of Daison, have you seen him recently ? Anyway, considering I'm powerful enough to actually FARM some tonberries now, I don't really understand your reference to them, but to clear things up, let's call you "sapling" from now on ^^
/nodnod, indeed, just one example of the versatility of our nation and its people!
VersaWHAT ? You've got the STR of a Hume child :p US HUMES REALLY are versatile, statistically speaking.
"Tradition" as in getting yourselves dirty, and "fun" as in killing. I see ^^
Typo cannot expect a hume taru understand the importance of carefreeness and emotion over physical labour, violence, and worldly things such as technology...but I still forgive you!
Oh, come on, what is better than getting dirty ( in all senses of the term, of course ) ? Nothing. And we don't "kill" the Quadav, we protect Bastok from them.
*spoiler*Yeah, yeah, ONE Bastokan killed their eggs in Beadeaux, but Ulrich was zealous of Raogrimm and unworthy of his position as leader of the Mythril Musketeers. */spoiler*
Don't go telling me there aren't any bad and selfish Tarus around ( I have Shantotto in mind, for starters. ) I'm not responsible for that, you're putting all of us Humes on the same level, yet the Quadav still are invading our land. It is up to me, as noble Paladin, to take arms and protect my fellow Bastokans.
I apologize taru all me Typofans who had to read that. It can switfly be removed if you are offeneed. ;3
If anyone is offended by this, I guess it only shows that truth hurts huh... ;)
EDIT : Darn you, sapling ! Why'd you go and edit your post while I reply ? :p It is acceptable to see Tarus melee but non-tarus as casters ? No, not really. Either isn't good statistically speaking but compensable with superior player skill and gear. Also, Jeuno is a symetric city built by someone with superior knowledge ... you know what I mean, but can't tell in front of people who aren't Rank 6 at least. So Jeuno doesn't count, besides it isn't even one of the starting cities. And the reason why Windurst placed teleporters is not because it's well-built, it's the total opposite. It was to compensate for its badly built hovel, no less ^^
Trust me, a PLD does not save others more than he ish saved. ;3 A NIN can certainly boast that much, but without a mage by your side, what happens ?:3 A PT without a tank can function. It won't function very well, but unlike a mageless PT, it will survive. See?
Typo never stated us taru created magic, instead I acknowledge us as the superior practitioners of all forms of the art in this day and age. You like to talk statistically and you know that "statistically" and irregardless of "skill", this cannot be debated.
Of course I know Daison, he's my friendly dhalmel paladin rival. I've known him since a lot longer than you do, and my calling you tonberry was a direct reference to him. I thought you'd catch on faster, but hey, better late than never. Speaking of Daison, have you seen him recently ? Anyway, considering I'm powerful enough to actually FARM some tonberries now, I don't really understand your reference to them, but to clear things up, let's call you "sapling" from now on ^^
Caught the reference immediately, and I'd think you'd know of his whereabouts, being such long-time close friends and rivals and all!
"Sapling" has no meaning in reference to taru, unless it's another size "joke", which have become so last year, among other things like tarupunting, tarudancing and such.
VersaWHAT ? You've got the STR of a Hume child :p US HUMES REALLY are versatile, statistically speaking.
Don't fool yourself into thinking the difference ish so massive, despite what the stats read. You'll find out once you experience further high-level PTing, and later on, HNM.
Typo thought he had acknowledged in me last entry the fact that we taru aren't perfect! Well, I do it here~ Typo ish not arrogant, unlike some...!
If anyone is offended by this, I guess it only shows that truth hurts huh... ;)
The truth hurts only when there ish presence of truth. Otherwise, rumors and personal bias stated as fact simply get snuffed.
It is acceptable to see Tarus melee but non-tarus as casters ? No, not really.
Not simply "acceptable", but regarded as more acceptable. Any race for any job ish acceptable, but from Typo's conversations and readings, people would prefer a taru MNK than a hume BLM. Read more FFXI forums, and experience countless LS debates on the said same topic to arrive at the same conclusion. "X3 Typo's personal experience leads me taru agree, also.
And the reason why Windurst placed teleporters is not because it's well-built, it's the total opposite. It was to compensate for its badly built hovel, no less ^^
Teleporters were placed in Windy taru offer an alternate means of travel within its walls, a luxury given to those who complain about the size of our nation. Keke, a large city does not equal something badly built! How ironic it ish that you big people love such enclosed areas, and that we are being called "lazy" and "fat" by someone who can't stand taru walk the distance!
Anyway, this silly back-and-forth thingy ends here. Typo likes the fun, but after a while it begins to get more violent, and it might actarully get people to believe in things other than the truth, something that's being distorted here.

I'm cute and cuddly and fun to hold and hug! There's no reason to knock Windurst, we do cool stuff. Like make friends with the beastmen, and then kill each other when nobody is looking. (Hey, at least we tried...) As for the city layout, thats what gives us our unique style. Windurstians are generally peaceful and close to nature, and thats why we have so much of it present in our town. You Bastok-folk like dirt n' rocks and the like, so you have a compact city with lots of stone and metalwork. San d'Orians are snooty folk who like to insult the rest of us as compensation for the fact that they were enslaved and forced to build a 3 zone deep Orc fortress not 50 yards from the city. (Semi-side note, anyone else think the Cathedral looks like it has scaffolding on it?) anyway, I forgot what I was getting at, aside from the fact that Mithra are awesome.

Oh, please, Typo, don't give me the "twisting reality" thing with what you just said about NINs. NINs, heroes that save more than being saved ? PLDs save noobs that train mobs, raise when asked, and tank for their parties. Ninjas tank, but they're not even supposed to be tanks, they became such because of some twisting of FFXI's gameplay elements, nothing else. They're killers than decieve their opponents, mainly, and that will never change. Paladins and White Mage are healers and savers by nature, not Ninjas.
Nah, I took a week-off, and Daison hasn't been on since I came back. Just because I said I've know him for longer than you've known him never meant he's my super close bud :p If he didn't tell me where he was going, then I don't know where he is, that simple.
Besides, buddy, if the difference in stats wasn't so massive, then by all means try arguing with your future parties that won't want a Galka WHM in their party. I've tried making them understand that player skill *is superior than race, but not everyone wants to understand, and I was thinking you'd know that fact as well. What I stated was a fact, Humes are more versatile than Tarus statistically speaking. The difference might not be massive, but it's still there. You can't deny that. And NO, I won't prefer a Tarutaru MNK over a Hume BLM, BLMs are more useful in parties than Monk pre-60, and even if I'd have the choice, I'd take the one that plays his job correctly and isn't a dick. Anyone who starts really arguing about that wastes their time, really.
Woah, woah, you're not arrogant, "unlike some" ? Geez, I'm not sure if you're aiming at me or not, pal. Geez, you've know me for years and you actually can't tell when I'm joking or not ? I've pointed it in a previous post, therefore I'll say it again : If you can't take a joke, go roll in the grass of Sarutabaruta. O_o
I'll repeat it again, Mithra purring = Cat purring. Both aren't going to let you sleep, they'll wake you up. Real kitties are way more fun to hold and hug. Mithras aren't real, you can't hold and hug them, just virtually flirt with them. It's a fact, get over it ^^
Finally, you obviously was starting to get irritated by my jokes, and for that, I can apologize, but not for simply trying to have fun with you. Calling me arrogant without good reason and saying you're ending the debate without giving the other party a chance to explain himself is low, Typo, and you know it.
*shakes his head* One last time, Dave, I'll pick out the important parts and...
Literally, and in an exp PT setting, a PLD ish saved more than he saves. Without a healer, a brilliant PLD can only sustain himself for a small period of time with very limited MP + Invincible before falling. A brilliant NIN has the resources to at least stay alive longer, and possibly emerge victorious without needing to be healed. You cannot kill what you can't touch.
This has nothing to do with NIN supposed to or not supposed to be tanks, they just are, that's how it is.
Next. Referring to taru melee over a non-taru mage, I explained how it seems that across all servers, it is widely more accepted to have the former over the latter. Whether or not you have come to see that does not concern me. It doesn't matter that you would prefer a hume BLM to a taru MNK because BLM are more useful - I've never asked for that opinion, I'm simply trying to point out that despite taru's lower STR and ATK, the difference in performance between taru melee and other races in melee form is less noticeable than that of taru mage and, using the example you gave, a galka WHM.
Next. "If you can't take a joke, go roll in the grass of Sarutabaruta. O_o" How benevolent of you, buddy. I will use that philosophy against you as you struggle with me calling you "arrogant" for the second time in this journal. It's the same principle - I believe I have a great sense of humor, only this isn't fun or funny to me anymore, and do not appreciate even the smallest insinuation of me not being able to take a joke. Similarly, you were just having fun and believed I was also, and are now sore that you came off as something totally different.
Joking around is good if the other party is having fun with your joking. To me your wording can be strong and harsh, and not necessarily identifiable as humorous for the most part. This is not an issue with how others interpret your words, but more an issue of how you address different people, joke or not. I called you "arrogant" because that is how you are coming off as to me. You may not have intended it that way, but that ish how I'm percieving it. I'm not being spiteful, I'm just letting you know how I, the host of this very journal feels about this attitude you can sometimes display, and if I don't like it I don't need to go anywhere.
You calling me "low" for wanting to restore peace to this journal is the pot calling the kettle black. Of course I know you well enough, but I'm not a debater like I know you are, and as this is my corner of FFS, I will end any argument as I see fit. I didn't ask for this.
So please, I'm asking again not to continue, as I don't like to argue. PM me about it if you must, because I won't address, nor accept the presence anything else of this nature in here.

I'm writing to Santa as we speak, I want him to reduce the price of boiled crab and fish mithkabob back the way they were ; ; My food's price didn't go up as fast as the meat mithkabobs but now it has ; ; I want to cry ; ; I'm thinking of looking into the 3 hour duration food, but that's unfair for us PLDs to rely on that kind of food. We're the ones at higher risk of dying, so also the ones at higher risk of actually wasting the darn meals ; ; How UNFAIR ; ; What the hell was Square-Enix thinking ? Raising the price is one thing, but they even NERFED my favorite boiled crab ; ; GRAAAAAAAAGH .... !!!
Typo not sure what SE ish thinking...I still confused with the new food update, but love it all the same. I just switched between the 3hr grilled hare for atk, and 30min fishkabob for def as WAR. Worked well enough! "X3

I use to dish then get killed 30 minutes later ? Ouch. Tell that to my wallet :p Either put crab and fishkabob the way they were, or don't let dying remove food effects. If you have a thief sub, try farming Forest Tigers and Beetles in Jugner Forest. Stack of Tiger Fangs go for 8k and Beetles Jaw go for 11k or so. Otherwise, try mining in the Palborough Mines or the Yughutt Grotto.

Missions as in... Promyvion ? Ugh. ; ;
I'm still supposed to do that, but PLDs aren't popular with those, that sucks. I have to level NIN to 15 just for that. Meh.

People say all kinds of dopey things about the Promy missions. Someone was really railing on BSTs for trying it, but I guess they totally missed the fact that a jug pet is just as good as a Ranger, Summoner, and Black Mage for damage at a distance, which is really what you need for all the mini-bosses. If you wanna try it as a PLD, go for it.

Aaaand for once, an event that intaruested me, if only for a brief momentaru~
The Dream Hats are actually possible to snag quickly, you know, without having to take a whole day taru play a boring game of fetch for some worthless nobody in town! Once the hat's obtained you are able to warp from town-to-town. Ish neat, but having access to Warp and Teleport-World ish already good enough for Typo. Dunno how all you silly people make it without handy transportation spells. ;3
Apparently the gifties you give to the children power your warps to each city. The more "joy" you spread, the more you can warp? At least that's how it seems.
Rumor has it that there ish a +1 hatty. Guess we'll find out later on when it's plastered all over alla or something. ;3
Really, this post ish just an excuse to say, I still prefer me Fungus Hatty-Watty. \^_^/

That's pretty much why I do supply quests and carried around a Trick Staff. Also, it's handy to have many mage friends ;)

Hmmm. Maybe it's a consequence of the patch that diminishes mining results when you stay longer in a given area ? I hope it isn't that, though. I was about to go mine a bit in the coming days ; ;

Naa. Banihead tells Typo that BCNM 70 now regularly yields Adamans and Orichalcums. Typo was expecting that.

kekekekeekek Silly Typo Kat ^ ^ .... You so funny... ^ ^
Licks Typo
Me head ish spinning...so many ups and downs within a few days can sure make a taru dizzy...Friendly reunions, loved ones taking their leave, mining showing new signs of life, and me, not knowing which direction to take...
Scary AH fees and low demand are making it difficult to painlessly sell me Lu Shang's... I'll try advertising on Alla or something so I can set up a tax-free bazaar or trade. I can't help but think of how ironic it ish that this item that was once so significant to me ish now the first thing that I want taru rid myself of.
A bomb knocked me out-cold, and I still managed to swing me pickaxe with me last gasp of energy (0HP). This has happened once before with no result, only this time, Typo struck a little blue adaman. "X3
So I've been mining. Adaman 60 - 70k (fallen from 100k), Orichalcum 80 - 90k (fallen from 140k). They're in demand again, but for how long? Typo hates this uncertainty, but at least I know that for now I can still turn to my volcano for me daily bread.
An old friend of mine had a little talk with me the other day. It was only a brief ...well, you couldn't call it a conversation, as Typo really couldn't find the words to respond. By the time we parted ways, he'd changed me somehow.
I joined Crusader. Not taru be confused with Crusaders, this ish yet another up-and-coming HNM linkyshell amidst a sea of such creatures, only this time with a more experienced roster, including some old faces from MK. I plan taru be an asset to them.
*Rests his great axe at his feet.*
*Removes his gloves and puts them away.*
Things are looking up, though... Ish just that there's always this empty feeling inside me, and it's been there for weeks. Typo thought that mebbe it had to do with money, or fishing, or something elsethat I'd been feeling bitter about... until I realized that I just miss my cat. Lunareis is gone.
Everything would somehow just be peachy again if she were taru show up at me moggiehouse as usual and pounce me and I lick her face... And then she'd go, "Whacha wanna do?"...and then we'd have fun "X3~ But I guess those are just memories now. You need taru keep yourself alive in me journal at least, okie kitty? Okie~
Aracat, your prezzie ish here! Typo will have it tomorrow, but me compy ish still not ready. >.>

Well, Merry Christmas, all.
I bought myself a nice gift for Christmas : A Gluttony Sword :p Yeah, so it cost me half a million. Frankly speaking, it IS a good sword and I do see a difference in damage I take now, but truly, it's about just like any over-priced item... It helps, but seeing the price of admission, you really could have done your job perfectly fine without it. Daison even gave me a dish of Shallops Tropicale, my current favorite food. :p
I got spoiled in real life, too, but that's of another concern. Anyhow, I'll make about another 200k with sales then I go back to leveling, my current objective is level 65.
Oh, and I have gathered a fine alliance in my LS for the Promyvions. I decided to take things in charge. If no one in our LS does, then it will never be done :p We'll go once everyone is ready.

Ooohohoho~! A cheesy (but fitting!) title for me latest entry. Most of me Christmas was spent digging up a storm in Ifrit's, but I still made time to relax and enjoy the starlight celebration activities all across the world. ^^ Besides, a little extra pocket change never hurt anytaru~!
The time I spent in my volcano was originally in order to fund me recent hobbies, MNK and THF, as I tried taru push them to 25 for WAR main. But as I am known to do from time to time, Typo, reaching some unknown and unwritten agreement with himself, decided taru have a change of plan and mine my way to something more substantial before undertaking the melee experiment.
It wasn't long until I had me Lu Shang's and was ready to put it to some use. However, I just couldn't fathom putting the legendary rod to practical use, as I'd have taru invest several hundred thousand to raise woodworking, as well as reserve a few weeks for fishing skill ups. That ish what's needed to justify even completing that quest, and Carp Diem... But nu, and bah humbugtaru too, that not how Typo planned to spend the next few months.
Jeuno. It took 4 days and 140,000 gil in AH fees, but me rod finally sold to a happy (maybe?) fisherman (although I not care whether he happy or not, just gimmie the money "X3) for a cool 3.5 (that what I'm talkin' 'boutaru!).
And then I was set.
I suppose what influenced me to take the next step more than anything else, was the feeling of jealousy and resentarument that came over me whenever I saw someone who came long after me accomplish something I did not or could not, their levels higher, their black cloaks pass, their techniques more advanced... From the moment I was invited intaru Crusader, an HNM LS after all this time, Typo felt as though it was about time I finished what I started.
Every last cent was poured into restoring myself to my former "glory", only this time Typo would get over the fear of me own mortalitaruty, and expose myself to my own power. I feel as if I haven't missed a beat. As nervous as I was to jump back into the real world and proclaim myself a "black mage" once again, everything naturally came back to me. I suppose ish just like riding a chocobo - once you learn you never forgettaru! "X3 Speaking of which, I hadn't forgotten about Maat, either...
Twice before Typo had gotten unlucky, as Maat refused taru cast anything and just ran up and clobbered me for the win. ; ; I took the opportunity to ask for help after defeating Adamant King with the LS, and a BLM and WHM were able to assist me in getting a Testimony. Impatientaruly, I whipped up a quick scheme involving me strongest spells, Flare and Firaga III, and challenged Maat immediately. He must have had less than 100 HP left when he punched me out. Had I gone on Firesday I may have won first time, seeing as Flare was brutally resisted when I hastily challenged him on Windsday...
Swallowing me pride, I asked another BLM, WHM and PLD to help with testimony this time, and properly constructed a solid strategy whilst awaiting Firesday. Rustysummoner lent Typo a blink band, which would later on save me life against the Geriatric Jackhammer o.o;; And yet it still wasn't easy... He resisted ES + Sleep (enfeebling 172 ; ;), Stun lasted on him for about half a second, and he had 1/2 life left after Flare. All Typo could do was curse him with Bio II before falling to the ground. Miraculously, the poison did JUST enough to him for me taru Reraise and finish the battle with Fire III~!
Post-Maat Celebration (
) ;3
Relieved of all stress, I just took it easy in the hot spring, knowing that as a BLM there are no more hurdles to overcome, only the sky, and Typo, with no limits. ^^;
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v203/bakadl/Hsky.jpg</center>
And this would be me home from 70 - 75~ Ru'Aun Gardens. Typo'd only been here once before, and never had the guts taru venture inside the ominous yet somehow glorious Shrine of Ru'Avitau, towering in the distant background without hiding its face as though it were begging taru be discovered...
...I wonder what it feels like to kill a God...
In the past few days I've litarully lived here, and yet I still can't get over the scenery. Typo could snappy snappy screenies here all day, even with crappy SEcam.

Ru'Avitau: Typo intimidates a Decorative Weapon!</center>
PTs here can potentially out-do BLM PTs in KRT! Common knowledge to some, amazing to me. The worst PT experience I've had here thus far still yielded 5k exp/hr, whereas regular groups score around 8-10. Weapons seem to have no defense, HP, or intelligence, and Typo not mean the INT stat. 70 - 75 are cake, and while Typo ish still halfway through the final stretch, I can tell that I'll reach the finish in mere days. ^.^/

Windurst Mission 6-1</center>
So much for invincible Typomage. In my defense, it was 6AM and Typo was half-unconscious after an intense exp session, when suddenly I was abducted from me moggiehouse and forced to work by...THATTARU! *points at Tar*
Tartaros and I ended up duoing the Cardians in a seesaw battle of attrition against the retards *cough* cards. Originally we entered the ruins and thought we'd breeze through with one of us abusing Sleepga II while the other would Bind and Nuke. Reminded me of me first days as a BLM..."Bind, Blind, Bio, NUKE~!" "X3 And that's really what it was, until both of us were resisted unexpectedly, and couldn't think fast enough to prevent our eventual flop.
We call in a WHM/SMN for Raise IIIs, and assistance with pulling a single Cardian. We'd drop it quickly, and wait for the others taru despawn before touching the magical gizmo. As promising as it seemed at the time, we got nothing from that plan, so we had to return to our Sleep/Bind/Nuke method which, alas, worked! ...after what seemed like an eternity of balancing enfeebles, nukes, and support.
The next day Tar had a group ready for Giddeus. M6-2 ish supposedly the Star Sibyl's idea of punishmentaru, entering us in a silly contest against weakling Yagudobirds in Balgas Dais. Well, the contest was no contest, and after running yet another insignificant errand we were awarded our Rank 7 badges, along with a not-so-bad 40k.
In addition taru all this excitement, Typo had the privilege of dying multiple times in the uncapped 30 kindred's seal BCNM (
)! That's right, the same very BC that single-handedly nerfed Ifrit's mining! No revenge for me...yet.
The group figured it all boiled down to our levels being too low, with most of us barely 70, not taru mention that this was before I officially returned to BLM, so my equipment was sub par, at best. Still, those scorpies were far more menacing than we all had anticipated. Bettaru luck next time "X3
Welp, this took a long time to update, but methinks I've summarized all me holiday shennanigans adequataruly~. ^^ Ah, things are exciting again, Typo missed this feeling! *cherishes*
Typo must spend some time licking his kitties, Gorgeous, kittymama, Fuzzycat ":3~, and almostcats, Hanahana and Maddycat! Typo have piccie gallery for you all to browse through, since I can't be bothered to post all piccies in journal anymore. He's really... back. I can testify :p
Shoot, and just when I was starting to get in grasp of catching up. My plan was to reach 70 and convince you to get out of retirement. After 8 months now, I wanted to finally be able to have some real adventures with the one person that made me want to come on Cerberus :p
And apparently you know Tartaros very well :p Oh well, 5k for learning about how Dynamis works is a fair enough price. And who knows, I'm most likely setting foot there myself eventually.
Oh, but just you wait. If all goes well, I'll be 70 by the end of the month. I may yet be able to join forces with you, just you see lol But for now, Promyvion comes first. We're starting with Holla tomorrow evening. If that goes well too, I'm going to level up like mad, just to reach that 70.
Genkai IV is out the way, all my gear is good until 70, I even got a General's Shield ahead of time and will also get my final spell, Protect IV, ahead of time too.
All that remains, is the leveling itself. lol Just you wait, Typo, just you wait :p
Past 70 is where I don't know much, though. All those gear upgrades will cost me... a lot. I am not part of any "powerful and famous" Linkshells nor do I have the ressources to pay the about the 5 millions worth of upgrades for my PLD between 70-75. And then there's Maat, too...
Those are all things I'll have to answer to, in due time. But I've managed to reach where I am now, no way I'm giving up yet.

This has never been as true as this evening.
After a week of planning and many schedule conflicts, we decided to split the alliance I gathered in the two teams we had formed. Too many schedule conflicts meant we'd never get started, and Jago and I truly believed that our team had the potential to achieve these perilous but oh-so exciting missions.
And so we gathered our forces :
Evaddaragon : (Bastok, Male Hume, Paladin/Warrior)
You know me already :p
Jago : (Bastok, Male Hume, Ranger/Ninja, but Samurai/Warrior as his main )
Jago is the "other strong-minded guy" in our Quebec LS, Lacasteoubliee. The other one being, you guessed it, me :p That sounds stupid to say, but when you look at our main jobs, it's not that much a surprise why the two of us are natural leaders, we have devoted ourselves to a job in the game that is geared toward this aspect of teamwork. Jago and I probably are the "unofficial leaders" in the LS. Mihmendra created our LS, and she's great at leading exp parties and organizing some social stuff. However, when it comes to special missions, quests, Expeditionary Forces or NM fights that we plan in that LS, you can rest assured that it's either Jago or I that's behind it. Our ordeals in Promyvion would prove no different, as I'm the one who gathered the people and calls the shots in the fights, while Jago leads us through the dastardly mazes of Promyvion, navigating us and spotting the memory receptacles.
Backus : (Bastok, Mithra (he's a guy in real life, so don't lick him Typo lol), Ranger/Ninja, but Thief/Ninja as his main)
Backus is our LS' best THF. And he acts like one in every way when playing FFXI. You'd ask him for help with a quest, and then he'd say "Hmmm, I don't really have the time, but then I could steal Gold Beastcoin from those Quadavs...fine, I'm in" lol He's a quite capable Ranger as well. He and Jago make a fantastic pair that wroke some serious havoc in past BCNM40 fights.
Laurewen : (San d'Oria, Female Elvaan, White Mage/Black Mage)
If Backus acts in every way like a THF when playing FFXI, the same could be said about Laurewen being a White Mage. She cares for us, heals us, is a high-level cook that would randomly let us sample her latest recipes, gives us free teleports all around Vanad'iel, etc. You'd think it's some kind of maternal love, and you wouldn't be far off, either. She is slightly older than us in real life, and is indeed a mother too. You can clearly see that in the way she acts when playing FFXI. She is engaged with Jago for a Vanad'iel wedding in Jeuno that will take place when...well, they win the lottery ? :p
William : (Bastok, Male Hume, Red Mage/Summoner)
Ah, Will, proud Red Mage from (Bastard Sword)...I mean, (Bastok). I was but a mere squire ( WAR/MNK ) when I met him in the LS, and at the time we shared a few adventure that got us acquainted to each other, such as Eco-Warrior Bastok, our Kazham key hunt, and so on. Although I have gotten quite ahead of him now ( About 20 levels to be exact ), we still share some adventures from time to time. Strangely enough, Lacasteoubliee has quite a few WHMs and BLMs, but William is the only dedicated RDM. If only he could try to catch up, he'd be so high on demands for our recent skill-up/coffer key hunting sessions that I have with Jago, Laurewen and the others. He's engaged with Littleyuuki, and the two of them honored me by asking me to be their chaperone. They will marry in the Chateau d'Oraguille in San d'Oria when...well, they win the lottery :P I've sent a SIXTH application this week.
Littleyuuki : (San d'Oria, Mithra (and a real girl :p ), Summoner/White Mage)
Yuuki, the always laughing, always go-happy Summoner of the LS. My personnal cook, she always cooks me Boiled Crab when I bring her meat I'd get from crab hunts. She is a VERY skilled summoner, she effortlessly got all her avatars...except Fenrir, of course. She has recently achieved the 50s, and is now struggling through the AFs. With her determination, we can only assume she'll become a Paragon of Summoner Excellence in a matter of weeks.
So, placing ourselves in a video-chatting conference over Skype ( We at Lacasteoubliee use voice-chatting whenever we can, it helps a lot with communication. ) gathering our items, gear, and courage, knowing full well how dangerous these missions would be ( Jago and I failed Holla 3 times and Dem once, Laure failed Holla twice and Dem once, Backus failed Mea once and Yuuki failed Holla and Dem once, William was going for his very first Promyvion. ) we set foot into Promyvion-Holla...You'd think we'd be crazy to still try to attempt Holla first, but somehow I kept thinking to myself that, should we be victorious at Holla, the supposedly very hardest of the three, we would be able to win with our current team at Dem and Mea as well. Another thing to note is that a few months ago, when Chains of Promathia just got released, we would NEVER have tried this mission with a single party as this would have been pure suicide. However, the December update has weakened some ennemies and changed the movement patterns of the regular ennemies, making it very possible to reach the spire without having to rely on a full alliance.
For those unfamiliar with Promyvion, here's a quick run-down of how it goes :
There are 4 floors, each of them connected by a Memory Receptacle that must be defeated in order to be allowed to reach the next floor. At first, the ennemies con anywhere between EP and T to level 30 adventurers, but as you go higher, they get stronger, becoming nothing but VTs and ITs. Once you reach a receptacle, it is surrounded by Strays that will attack whoever gets too close. Not only that, the Memory Receptacle uses a powerful AoE attack that will knock back anyone who's too close to it, giving some serious damage. While you deplete the Receptacle's HP, you must also take care of the Strays as they will attack the defenceless mages. Therefore, it was up to me and William to protect Yuuki and Laure while Jago and Backus would keep firing at the receptacle. Yuuki would also assist by summoning Ifrit and sending it at the receptacle. Once you reach the 4th floor, you must zone into the spire of Promyvion, in which there is a an arena that encloses a very powerful Boss. Getting to that Boss proves an ordeal on its own, but defeating the Boss is the true challenge, especially at Holla. Another thing that the patch in December has changed : The Bosses are still as hard as they ever were, but the AoE from the Receptacles does a lot less damage, and the Strays die much quicker too. A Ranger can kill them with one arrow, while even us Paladins can fell them with 2 or 3 quick sword strikes.
The first floor went like a breeze, it took us only 10 minutes, we didn't get aggroed, and we wiped the floor with the Receptacle. So we were on the 2nd floor...
On the second floor, in Promyvion-Holla, there is a place where you must pass between fences and where it is impossible NOT to aggro. Therefore, considering we were only six in all of Promyvion-Holla at the time ( Promyvion isn't crowded, and with good reason. Unlike Dynamis, you can't get much in that level 30-capped hellish territory. ), we pulled the empty one at a time, and fought them one at a time, clearing us a path through the fences. As we kept on our way towards another Memory Receptacle, William would aggro a Weeper, but a quick voke on my part and an appropriate retreat in an empty corner, as suggested by Jago, allowed us to make short work of it. We finally made it to the Receptacle, located in a corner where being not too close for the AoE proved hard, but we still prevailed.
As we reached the 3rd floor, anxiety would start to get on us. Memories of past failures in Holla were starting to haunt me back, but I tried not to think too hard about it. Navigation proved harder, too. Many Empty would not allow us to have more than a very narrow passage that lasted a few seconds for us to get past and avoid aggro. Backus ended aggroing a Thinker where our current position truly wasn't ideal. We had no choice but to lean on a edge, kill the empty, and quickly move aside to a safer spot. Jago quickly located the third Memory Receptacle, and there we fought our way to the final floor.
When we reached the final floor, familiar scenery was upon Jago, Laurewen and I , as we came to Promyvion-Holla a few weeks ago, when we failed to defeat the boss twice in the same afternoon. However, that familiarity allowed Jago to quickly remember where the Spire was, and so we made haste and headed there. However, as we neared the zone, 2 Thinkers were so dangerously close that we had to carefully slip by them, thanks to Jago's great navigating skills, and so we made a quick dash to the Spire, avoiding any aggro at all.
For those unfamiliar with Promyvion, when you reach the Spire, your level restriction is temporarily removed. Recovering our true strenght for a brief moment, we take a breather, rest up, and discuss our strategy. We were to win as a team...or fail as a team.
Anyhow, we decided we were to "kite" the Boss. Here's how it works :
As PLD, I get to constantly provoke the monster, and keep running in half-circles while having it chase me. Backus and Jago, as RNGs, would place themselves on each side of the arena constantly firing arrows at the Boss. William would throw every enfeebling spell he could think of, while Laure and Yuuki would alternate healing me and whoever would temporarily steal hate from me. William and I are expected to throw in an additionnal Cure spell, should things go worse. Slowly but surely, we would weaken the boss down to his last 25% of health, where Laure would hit Benediction to replenish us, while I hit Invincible followed by Berserk to get hate back on me. Jago and Backus would hit Eagle Eye Shot, while William now resorts to nuking thanks to Chainspell and Yuuki lets out her all-powerful Astral Flow, allowing us to make a final, powerful offensive assault.
Making appropriate preparations such as eating food and drinking a poison potion to avoid the boss' sleep attack, we charged forward.
And so the fierce battle began...
We were struggling , but slowly enough the Wreaker's life was lingering away. When it reached about 33%, I ended up at only 4 HP, but a quick Barrage from Jago allowed us healers to quickly fill me back, hit another Provoke and a Cure II on Jago, making the Wreaker chase after me again. At this time I gave the go, telling Laure to hit Benediction. As soon as she did, I hit Invincible, and the others hit their 2 hours, thinking we were about to end the fight...
Or so we thought.
Dramatically, Jago, Backus and I made a mistake that could have cost us the fight. We didn't realize our poison potion's effect wore off, thus no longer protecting us from the Wreaker's sleep attack. Just a few seconds after Yuuki managed to pull off Ifrit's Inferno, doing an insage amount of damage, the Wreaker slept Jago, Backus, Ifrit and I. Yuuki and Will got slept as well, but Laure still had her poison on and was kept awake. She would only have the time to wake Yuuki and Will up, though, as the Wreaker turned his attention on... Backus. Tearing apart Backus' shadowy protection ( Utsusemi is not as effective against the Promyvion bosses, as they tear apart 2 shadows at once. ), Backus fell, despite Laure's best efforts to save him.
With Backus down, and our 3 Mages down to their last MP and potions and the Wreaker down to a sliver of his health left, Jago and I finally awoke from our sleep after what seemed an eternity of watching our friends struggle and being powerless about it. Quickly drinking a poison potion to avoid being promptly slept again, Jago resumed firing arrows while I reached for my bottle of Hysteroanima I had acquired from my last trip in Promyvion-Holla. For those who don't know, some empty in Promyvion dropped recollections of certain feelings of their past lives, which allows a NPC in Ru'Lude Gardens at Jeuno to synthesize into a concentred form called Anima. With this, once used against an empty, it temporarily weakens them in a form that varies with the Anima and the type of Empty it is used against.
It was then that the unthinkable happened...
As soon as I threw my Anima at it, the Wreaker turned to me...and stood there, totally immobile. It would reamin totally paralyzed for about 30 minutes, allowing us healers to drink some juices and replenish about half our MP and most of our HP. With renewed vigor, Jago and I made one final desperate charge at the Wreaker.
And then, it happened :
"Evaddaragon hits the Wreaker for 15 points of damage"
"Evaddaragon defeats the Wreaker."
The Wreaker crumbles without as much as a sound, and then Backus recovers from what seemed a fatal wound. We end in front of the Mother Crystal of Holla, and are thus bestowed upon us the Light of Holla, which reflects one's inner courage.
After our resounding victory, Jago, Laure and I returned to Promyvion-Holla, farming empty in order to acquire the necessary items to get a few bottles of Anima, because we realize it most likely saved our lives. Having gathered two bottles each, we are now preparing our next perilous adventure in Promyvion-Dem. Dem is apparently the easiest of the three, and so with renewed confidence in ourselves, extra anima, and a will to finally conquer all three Promyvions in order to get access to the Tavnazian Archipelago, we will set foot in Promyvion-Dem tomorrow evening.

I probably can't describe Promyvion-Dem any better.
*Spoilers ahead*
Once you clear at least one Promyvion, you are treated to a cutscene that most likely varies according to which Promyvion you hit next. In our case, after our valiant fight at the San d'Orian crag of Holla yesterday, we left for the Bastokan crag of Dem. There, we got a cutscene involving Wolfgang, captain of the Ducal Guards of Jeuno and a team of researchers from Bastok, led by Cid, chief engineer of Bastok, Ayame and Naji of the Mythril Musketeers, Bastok's highest elite force. Before they could argue for long in front of us, our party was swallowed by the shattered telepoint, and we entered Promyvion-Dem.
I guess I'd like to tell a lot of things about what happened there, but thing is, there truly isn't much to say. Simply put, we breezed through Promyvion-Dem.
We didn't even bother navigation on the first floor, we simply fought our way through and reached the Receptacle in no time.
The second floor merely took a little more time. Backus aggroed once, but that was quickly dealt with. We fought a few more empties that made the passage too narrow for us to avoid them by pulling them to "safer" places. The only little problem is that we had to fight 2 Receptacles instead of 1, as the first one turned out to be fake once we defeated it. Other than that, truly nothing much to say. Perhaps it was due to our sudden renewal of confidence, but we all were a lot less nervous this time, we even were joking around all the time through skype, as if somehow we weren't even scared of Promyvion anymore.
Once we reached the 3rd floor, realizing we ARE in Promyvion, after all, I quickly reminded my party that having fun and all is nice, but one mistake from one of us is all it takes for us to fail, and we certainly don't want that.
Taking a slightly more serious approach, we stopped goofing around and got our act together. The Receptacle, luckily this time, was placed near us, and wasn't a fake, so the 3rd floor went by even faster by the first, much to our amazement. By this time a mere 25 minutes had passed and we reached the fourth floor, while Promyvion-Holla took us nearly 90 minutes to reach the spire.
Reaching the fourth floor was were it got slightly complicated. Unlike Holla, Jago and I weren't familiar at with the place, and unlike previous floors, you don't have to find a memory receptacle with the Ranger's Widescan, but to zone to the spire. Easier said than done when you don't know where the spire is...
Along the way, Laurewen ended up aggroing once, but a quick voke on my part and another safe retreat to a less crowded corner ensured our WHM's security.
As the spire was in sight, the ways was block by 3 powerful empty. Yuuki then summoned Carbuncle to distract them, allowing us to make a mad dash towards the spire. As we neared the zone, Yuuki released Carbuncle, and we simply entered the spire.
We didn't change much in our strategy this time around, really. The only difference is that Laure subbed SMN this time. That gave her extra MP and allowed her to send a Carbuncle to contribute in fighting the Receptacles. As for me, unlike the other members of my party, I no longer bothered staying at a distance. The AoE barely scratches me, so I literally brace myself and go in the middle of the action, slashing at the receptacle and voking any Strays that are close. William is more than enough to cover any loose Stray that would make it to Laure and Yuuki. Whenever I would have TP for Flat Blade, I'd use it to stun the Receptacle and prevent it from using its AoE.
And so we braced ourselves to face the boss , the ...
Darn, I forgot its name.
That tells you how well it went. Jago and Laure came close to die once , but nothing major happened. Only Yuuki used a Psychoanima, and Laure used both a Psychoanima and Hysteroanima near the end of the fight. It was a flawless victory. All I ever got to use during the fight was one poison potion and one Yagudo Drink. The Boss at Dem doesn't even use any AoEs whatsoever. Its only little problem is that it tends to spawn Offsprings which Jago and Backus must quickly deal with, but once it was down to about 10% HP, we didn't bother and gave one final offensive wave, which ended with Jago's Barrage.
And so we ended in front of the Mother Crystal of Dem, and were bestowed upon us the Light of Dem, which reflects one's inner sense of justice, while having visions about what's to come. Total time needed to beat Promyvion-Dem : 45 minutes. It took us 2 hours for Holla. We really went from worst to easiest. Staying behind another hour, Jago, Yuuki, Laure and I got 3 other bottles of Anima, just in case. We plan to use them all and go all out against the final Boss at Mea, no use holding back since it shall our final epic battle in chapter one of Chains of Promathia.
Our party won't end his adventure with Promyvion, though. Realizing the missions in chapter II ( Are you starting to see the partern now ? ) will cap us at 40, and since all of us happen to have according gear, we will also do the mission in Phomiuna Aqueducts with the exact party ( except Laure and Will will sub BLM and Backus will be a THF instead of a RNG ) and perhaps even brave Promyvion-Vahzl. However, only time will tell how we'll fare in there.
On a side-note, I need to correct something about my previous post : There are 3 types of Anima, and unlike stated above, they each a very specific effect when used on a empty.
Terroanima : Makes the empty panic and move around randomly and doing nothing else for 30 seconds.
Psychoanima : Makes all physical attacks being intimidated for 30 seconds, resulting in no attacks.
Hysteroanima : Prevents the empty from using any special attacks that consumes TP, such as AoEs, and other powerful attacks. Lasts 30 seconds as well.
You need taru get your own journal.

lol Was somehow expecting you to say that.
But I don't usually tell that much about me in here, because, as you pointed out, it's your journal, not mine, but since Promyvion is still pretty much unkown territory for a good part of the posters here, I thought telling the story would give good info on it.

We have an LS fund, basically a bank where all the money from HNM goes, instead of distributing it equally among the members who attended the event. Not sure if I quite like this system, since BLM gain VERY little from HNM drops, but it is the reason I'm wearing this 1.5 million anomaly of luxury warlock attire... Still having trouble calling it "mine", though, but as long as ish in me possession, I'm one step closer taru having the ideal end-game equipment~ Come taru think of it, compared to other classes, BLM has it relatively easy when it comes to obtaining our "best" gear, or at least something close to it... Alot of it can be purchased, see.
Typo would like to continue with Zilart Mission 14, "Divine Might", a battle against the Ark Angels, with an Abyssal Earring (http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?fitem=5219) as me material reward. This'll save Typo from having taru buy a morion/phantom earring +1, or something silly like that. X3

PT regroups in about 25 minutes, Typo recovers from R3 weakness, PT disbands after Chain 5. Total PT time, ~90 mins, total EXP time, ~10 mins.
And somehow in all of that, Typo was enjoying himself. Hmm. It seems like parties get crappier the closer you are to your next level. X3 Here we have a super party that can take apart any given EXP mob within seconds, SC or not, yet the addition of just one enemy ish enough taru cause disaster. From Typo's vantage point, these Statues are highly resistant to magic, resisting Sleep from all angles, and resisting many of me offensive spells that aren't magic bursted.
I wonder if links are easily handled in there, or if links just don't happen to others, or if we were just sloppy in our escape. I can't help feeling just a little disappointed in our RDM who acted without warning...at least to the non-JP PT members. Oh well, @8k >> 74, and expect 74+ buffer tonight. Typo really could have swept through to 75 in 6 days or less, but events such as Serket, Byakko, Missions, WSNM, and Fafnir have been distracting me...
Speaking of Byakko, me first encounter with a God...can I say I was a little disappointed at first by his appearance (
) ?:3 You mean he not a giant tiger? 'Course, disappointment was magnified by how quickly our entire alliance was taken out. We have a lot taru learn before another encounter. We aren't ready. Next. ;3

Scouting Fafnir</center>
KoN beat us to it, and repeated deaths from just watching them fight, due to aggro and AoE caused alot of *drum roll* drama! Nu, Typo wasn't just standing there all that time, I was just getting in range for a screenie before warping out. :3
It looks like FF ish our next target, but it's obvious we'll have alot of trouble dealing with KoN, and possibly BehemothHNMLS. I'm quite sure that Crusader isn't really being taken seriously by the aforementioned, more successful LSes. Typo meself isn't really sure if ish going taru be any different to Mystic Knights circa summer '04, or Requiem, or Valiance, but I am still going to stick with them and try and do my part as we try to prove ourselves, especially once I have gotten leveling black mage out of the way. Merit points...not currently a priority, but Typo will pursue them at some stage.
Glad you like Typo new look, Evad! I feel like something from out of Vagrant Story, if you're familiar with it "X3

I'm not really familiar with Vagrant Story, so I'm afraid I don't quite understand the reference.
And I'm not sure about that "bank system", either. But as long as it's being used for both the collectivity and the individuals of the LS, and not just for "certain key members" while even others helped, I guess it can work.
Some drama happened in our LS, so right now I don't really know when exactly I'm off for Promyvion-Mea ; ; If that one is canned, then off to mining I go for a day or two. I want an armoire to get Protect IV for free, then maybe I'll work for a Knightly Mantle. As I expected, the prices have dropped ( they were at 350k a few weeks ago, when I got my Gluttony Sword instead ), and I expect them to stay at around 200k to 250k. That mantle is THE mantle for us PLDs, so I have to get it eventually.
Getting my high-end gear is purchasable for the most part as well...it's just that it's super costly. Sure, you can talk about Relic stuff, but that's overkill. Getting Adaman set, Durandal, Koenig Shield, 2 Topaz rings and Warwolf Belt are the absolute musts I have to get during my 70s. Rosenbogen, or any other Relic, is just luxury. Still, that will set me back about 3 millions ; ;

You're still not a riskbreaker. :(
I just brought this up a couple days ago, ....huh. Well then, let Typo elaborate a little on the matter of the LS fund.
Most commonly when an HNMLS succeeds in collectaruing a valuable drop from their target, the item(s) ish sold either on AH or bazzar, and the earnings split evenly among those who were in attendance for the battle, Rare/Ex items are lotted on by those who can use them immediataruly, or in the near future, and when necessary, venomous claws are reserved for those in need of a scorpion harness. As per Crusader policy, however, while Serket Rings and claws etc. still go taru those who need them, no money from salables ever reaches the members. Instead, ish deposited intaru an invisible bank known as the LS fund.
It's no secret that LS funds and other forms of stashes exist in other linkyshells, but unlike Crusader, the others will give back to their members from time to time, rewarding them using the more popular gil distribution method on HNM. Long story short, Crusader ish bank only - you make your own money, and herein lies the source of todey's dose of drama extraordinaire~.
A fellow BLM voiced his opinion on the subject of the fund, and made it clear that he felt it wasn't being used taru its full potential. Echoing my own silent sentiments, he instead believes it to be a waste of time and effort, as the majority of people who attend each run literally get nothing to show for it. This consequentaruly stirred up a rather heated debate on the pros and cons of the current system, with half the participating LS being satisfied, confident that no changes should be made, while the other half was adamant that the system ish broken.
Predictably, the member count dropped a little after that round of animated discussion.
Now not get Typo wrong, as I mentioned before this fund ish the very reason the Weskitaru adorns me body, and I'm very grateful for the generous gift and for the money I've saved. But what about the other areas that have yet taru be covered? Snow rings (700k each)? HQ staves (300k+ each)? Hierarch belt (400k? Not checked in a few days)? Understand that for the amount of time that ish required of Typo in this LS, I not have time taru spend hours a day in me volcano anymore. When I not leveling I'm wanted for HNM, Zilarts, WSNM, Avatar battles, Ro'Maeve water hunts, Optical Hat runs... - the list goes on, and while it does my pockets are still empty, and I've long since been feeling awfully guilty about repeatedly turning down calls and pleas for help from members of not only Crusader, but old friends from other linkyshells as well.
Typo ish not greedy, I hope you all can see that, but I, as well as anyone else in an LS like this would just like taru feel and know that they aren'taru wasting their time aimlessly "helping" for little to nothing in return. That word "help" ish used so loosely nowadays, but Typo digress.
So far this has been all about me, but in light of the tens in millions we've accumulated thus far, how many people have really benefited? Have any of our NINs ever recieved a SH? Well, one never will, she's gone for good. A Krakken Club which, to my knowledge has never been put taru use...what's it doing now? What about those who can't really farm because their job isn'taru suited for it, or because of time constraints due to having to spend so much time on LS business? Contrary to what you're thinking I'm really not complaining, just listing some of the innate flaws within this system. The fund itself ish used for 2 purposes, really:
1. to bolster those with the most useful jobs and improve performance in LS battles, regardless of whether or not they've "earned" it. BLM automatically get Igqira Weskit at 73. :3 What about that WHM who wants that Noble's? That SAM who'd love a Haubergeon +1? Come taru think of it, how many people below level 70 get anything out of this in the first place ?X3
2. for those who have "truly earned" it. But how do you measure this ?:3 If you were to list the names of those who have been faithfully participating for the past few weeks running, you'd come up with half the entire LS on a sheet. Would a couple mil be spent on everyone? Methinks not, and therein lies the imbalance... X3
So, the simple solution would be to keep the bank, but not stockpile the gil forever. Give the bank a limit, cap it, then proceed with the money runs, as these runs will benefit the vast majoritaruty of the members, as opposed to the few who are "worthy" enough to touch the fund. We're so used to playing with babies, Simurgh, Serket...well, a few hundred thousand per participant every few days from each of those will lead to millions in a couple weeks. Everyone will now have the FREEDOM taru use their newly acquired wealth in any way they choose, gear, crafting, catlapdances, as opposed taru having something handed to them one time only that they still can't even call their own. Only use the fund when ish really needed... I can't give example, and also can't find anything else to say, other than the fact that being Rank 8 (

) feels alot like being Rank 7. X3
Rank 8 mission was fun (aside from having taru wait 15 minutes for each respawn of Bonze Marberry (

), a tonberry NM we had to kill 3 times for keys), putting a new spin on our story and making things really intarusting as we delve deeper into past events.. Rank 9 missions are planned for tomorrow, and level 75 ish a possibility that makes me smile, away from all the nonsense LS drama.
@30,000 >> 75
There ish a small buzz in Crusader about "party mining". You form a PT, you camp various mining points and bounce them off each other. Doesn'taru sound like such a bad idea, except for the fact that in large numbers you're monopolizing the MPs in that zone and completaruly shutting out anyone else's chances of earning a living. Even a seemingly small PT of 6 ish enough to cause a disruption in others' work schedules in a place like Ifrit's.
There is a mining etiquette followed by miners in general, and ish something Typo learned from reading Allakhazam and KI forums several months ago. Governed by a chief unwritten rule, and for those who may not have known, when someone approaches a mining point, poised to strike their pickaxe intaru the ground, just move along - it is theirs.
The rule exists because multiple people working the same MP generally get nothing out of it, since they're both pulling from the same pool of random garbage. In addition, most MPs only last for 1 - 3 swings, making it meaningless for people taru "share" MPs in this way. Now, PT mining has been around before, and in fact, gilsellers can occasionally be seen still doing this todey in My Volcano, but in small numbers.
Typo tried discussing this seriously and in civil manner with the select few who approve of the practise, and predictably *sigh* somehow managed taru get their knickers in a twist for having a separate opinion from their own, even being called "selfish" in the process. Pot > Kettle > Black? I think one of them left the LS, but that not my problem, while the others kept up a smug "if you can't beat us, you'll have to join us - deal with it!" defense. X3
In any case, as they only plan on working Ifrit's once a week, or whatever, they will not be a threat to me or many others (unless they only have that one day put aside for mining...), and I won't have taru make that ever-futile GM call on 'em for closing off the zone for themselves alone. Typo can make 200-300k solo in 6-8 hours of mining a day, and can guarantee their results won't be so fruitful. I not need people forcing me to PT with them just so I can mine where I always have, only for less money. *scratches his head in near-frustration*
And apparentaruly, Mystic Knights and Crusader will be merging in the recent future. Apart from being able to see kawaii Gorgeouscat more often *pet pet* and being happy about it, I not sure how taru feel about the merge itself. Meguess as usual, all Typo can do ish wait for the outcome...
It seems as though fate itself would try taru hold me back from yet another goal. "X3 A JP PT that Typo set up turned tragically sour after an unfortunate linking incident in Ru'Avitau. The chaos was caused by the entire place being absolutely packed (12 PTs) by the time we arrived (while in Jeuno, there were only 4), and us having to settle for a rather unconventional spot to call camp~
Oh well.
Tomorrow.
{Good night!}

Wow, almost 75. Keep going at it, Typo. I want to go to Tu'Lia so much...so close, yet so far ; ;
However, I know this isn't my journal, but yesterday was so awesome I just HAVE to talk about it :p
I guess it's about time I go back leveling, now that I'm done with all 3 Promyvions. I still need Protect IV and Knightly Mantle, but anyway... Mea may have beaten us last Sunday, but this time we totallly TOYED with the boss. I mean, besides one attack that got me at 10% we NEVER, EVER, even came close to dying, heck, besides me, no one even got in the yellow :) Yesterday I spend the whole evening in the Tavanazian Archipelago. All I really explored were the Tavnazian Stronghold and Lufaise Meadows, which, by the way, is quite beautiful. My party and I did a few quests, including the one for the map of the stronghold, Lufaise Meadows and Misareaux Coast. After we all came back to the mainland, I went to do some research about what ressources could be gained in Lufaise Meadows.
This area can be profitable in 2 ways : Logging, and farming. There is one room that has a crapload of treants called Leshy. They do not aggro, they do not link, yet they drop Ebony logs (10k) and Misletoes (5k a piece, 65k or so per stack) like crazy, if you happen to have a THF with you of course. However, even a level 70+ can't kill them very fast on his own, so the best way to do this is gather 3 or 4 people ( Say, a tank, 2 DDs and a healer ) and simply go all out against them. There are so many of them that it's impossible to kill them all before the first ones respawn, so you're pretty much always fighting. Also, since they con as EP to us 62-64s, they also drop a few Beastmen's Seals.
There are also about 10 logging points there. While what you get may not give you much more in terms of gil per hour compared to mining in Gusgen Mines and Oldton Movalpolos, the thing is that hatchets seem to break far less often than pickaxes, so it's less costly. And, best of all, it's a new area, and the gil-sellers and other players still haven't, for the most part, done their Promyvions, meaning that you're pretty much always alone. There never were more than 8 people in Lufaise Meadows at all times for the whole evening.
It's also almost always the Thunder weather, so you can also farm Thunder Elementals.
Finally, while anyone over 50 won't aggro on the way from the swirling vortex which takes you back to Valkurm Dunes to the Tavnazian Stronghold, there is one corner of the zone where there are monsters that con as VT to 70+. That means there is a possibility of leveling for anyone over 66 there. However, don't expect many parties there, because setting foot there means complete your Promyvions, something not everyone has done.
Oh, and I bumped into a NM that even a Level 73+ PLD couldn't solo... :p Since he zoned it, I aggroed him while zoning as well, and it got me at 50% in 5 hits :p Okay, so I had nothing but my field gear on, but still...
Yesterday was quite the exciting evening, to say the least.

Well I may have been serious about the "due" part, but that never meant you ever were in any obliged to do it lol I admit it's a bit of work to maintain it, that's pretty much why I do it only every , oh, five levels ? :p So I'll update it at 65, not before. @3k to Level 63, by the way.
I'm really not sure about the boat, Gorgeous, but I think I heard something like that somewhere. In any case, I'll be leveling almost every evening this week, perhaps we'll join forces, who knows ? I'm not as anti-DRG as some are ;) I'm aiming at 65 for this week.
But speaking of Onzozo... I hate that place. Who the hell decided to fight Toramas ? Certainly not a PLD, I'll tell you that much. Paralyze + Silence half the time ? Ugh.

WHOO! I'm back from holiday break! almost a month with just dial-up...eeeewwwww. Oh! Good news all! While my account cancellation expires February, dad said he's willing to re-activate the account for a while to extend the time so I can come back as Luna in a few months! Hu-freakin'za! (First good news in a while, joy.)
Ja, Typo has been having fun sans leveling! ^.^ I missed me volcano (

), as well as stealing from gilsellers, so I went back taru where the REAL action (

) ish and made a profit (

) that was enough taru make Typo high enough to share some of his secret catnip stash with other unsuspecting sexies. The result (

).
I was planning taru acquire Jupiter's Staff (
http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?fitem=4521), Aquilo's Staff (
http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?fitem=2996) and Vulcan's Staff (
http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?fitem=3685) for the extra 5% bonus taru each of those important elementarus, as well as a pair of Snow Rings (
http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?fitem=5065) for the best available INT bonus. However, instead of going for those right away, that money may be used to activate Typrogram: "Job Change" - Tarumission: "Exp", according to my active whim~. :3
I recentaruly told someone that I've been so choppy-changy nowadays that not even Typo know what he'll want taru do tomorrow! So, no hints, clues, or predictions as to what the next update will bring - I just not know...maybe I even surprise myself~! /blush "X3

BC40: Part II
</center>
Why did Typo agree to go after me last experience?
I was under the impression that healing would not be my job - Typo was in BLM form~ However, I was informed that while the RDM healed the NIN, Typo would be the BRDyguard (<--- see what me do there? Kekekukuhaa! Such the clevererer~). A WHM in wizard's clothing.. "X3
The good
We all had plenty of seals - enough between us for about 15 runs.
Good drop on first victory.
Typoinabox. (
)
The bad
Only 1 good drop in 5 runs...
BRD disconnects and ish not heard from again after the 5th run...
Only made ~150,000 all day. :3
The surprise
It was easy, and we gelled from the start, every battle going like clockwork.
The Irony
The same very thing which long ago scared Typo out of performing the art of white magic on a full-time basis, ish the very thing that rekindled me confidence in being a white mage.
We're to finish our BC40 marathon sometime in the near future. Hopefully we'll be luckier next time!

I <3 Typocam. Ish been so long, good buddy-buddy! And what better time for Typocam to be back online than the day when the airship refuses taru appear on my screen and everyone just floats above the water~!

Speaking of airship, I snap shots of sexy RDMcat on airship, and she purr at Typo and takes off her shoes, exposing her sillyfunny teeny-weenie catfeet (
).
...
So we find a nice spot taru stand and Typo ask nicely that she put them back on - they look so nice on her! So she does. I lick again, and here she goes with her purring, followed by more catfeet (
). I mean, she had nice feet, but Typo not have mithranfootfetish, or any other kinda fetish at all! Really (
)! Really (
)... What? Really.. (
) For real (
)...
Anyway, while messing around in Bastok trying to pawn off fake ores on the black market, I apparentaruly took a rather curious snappy with Typocam. So what's going on here:

a). The mithran con artist teaches Typo the ways of overpricing, and gives him a sweet smile in the hopes of suckering him in taru the swindle of a lifetime.
b). Typo forgot taru shave that morning.
c). Nothing out of the ordinary.
Typoguess maybe all of the above... Oh well. You know, that galka just stands there all day and does nothing. Typo would love a job like that. Maybe Lunacat can lend Typo a hand when she returns! Typo can'taru wait !;3

I'm currently avioding some homework, so I thought I'd give you a update on my doings. After some deliberation I decided to give up on the PvsP server in WoW. As Typo feared for me so many ages ago the mentality there was too heavy-handly Diablo 2~eque. Not from the game itself, but rather from the 13~year olds that think randomly inserting euphamisms for genitalia into any conversation at random, makes them witty and clever. That and the fact that while the honor system has not been institued, you can be litterally walking along and someone will kill you, just becuase they're 10 levels higher. After the first 50 times it just got boring running my spirit back to the corpse. At this point I seriously considered returning to Cerberus with my tail between my legs (Yeah a tail on me too Nicomo!).
However, I decided to give the RP (Role Playing) server a chance and have been rewarded with sweet gooey joy :D Most everyone on the Cenarion Circle (my new home) is more interested in enjoying the game rather than level grinding and meta-game bickering (ex. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO PLAY IT YOU n00b!). Those rare fools that dare enter our world to make it uninhabitable for people having fun are met with the swift and harsh policies surrounding the RP worlds. It is rather empowering to know that you can remove the jerks for something as simple as having a non medival/fantasy name, such as KillerXXX, Gdawghomey, ect should thier behavior equal their naming ignorance of how the residents of the RP worlds function. It isn't as though there are RP nazis running around making sure you stay in character, its that there is incentive to keep the world fun. Its like speeding, a lot of us go 5-10 MPH over the limit, however go too fast and you are going to get slapped with the law.
What strikes my FFXI sensiblities most is the generosity. The ettiquite in parties is generally to only lot on that which you need (and I do mean NEED). Not the best economica approach but ceratianly it beats the "everyone can and will lot no matter what because we're all poor". My guild for expample, Crossbone Vanguards, will always ASK if some one needs an item or items. We just give each other stuff that we don't need along the way, no matter what the value. Even with my old greedy gil gaining tactics ( such as making scorp arrows at cost and in large quantities to discourage that market, which in turn encourages the beetle arrow market where I'm also selling >:) stuff like that, you get the idea) its hard not to accept generosity and not return it. I find myself giving away shineys and it makes the heart of this ex-thief all warm and fuzzy. Currently I'm raising my Blacksmithing not primarily to make money, but to be the guild Blacksmith and arm my worthy brethern.
Anyway, my character Percivale on the Cenarion Circle needs a bit of TLC at the moment for my RPing skills are a little thin. Ergo I step up to the fountain of Typotaruwisdom and humbly ask for aid in being tactically energetic. I've been trying play my character as a simplistic goofball Paladin (ex. The light shall always triumph! ... Well until I run out of mana and then we need to run screaming like scared forest elves guys...) However, I've been developing a bit of an interesting backstory which might be too heavy for the character. Instead of being a typical Paladin of the Light, I'm going with Paladin of Moonlight.
Story Time! Former Warrior, Percivale lived quite well in Pyrewood village with his elivsh wife {ToBeNamed} (I think that's elvish right?), Priestess of Elune (for those not in the know, Elune is the chief Elf diety and also the Goddess of the moon) untill the coming of the undead. Sadly, {ToBeNamed} caught the plauge of undeath and became one of the mindless Scourge. Unable to kill her and unable to live with his grief Percivale, set off to join the climactic fighting in Kalimdor seeking his own death in battle. Yet his grief fed his ferocity, and he did not die but earned strength and honor in war. At the battle of Mt.Hyjal where Orc and Human and Elf untied against an army of demons, he became wounded with an otherworldy posion which slowly drained his body of its strength (why yes I am writing myself back into a level 1 character).
After the battle he was taken with the wounded to the Temple of Elune where he struggled with the poison daily. Despite the best effort of the Night Elf preists he began to lose his life to the crippling poison. In the moment he felt his life slipping away he cried out to his wife's Goddess, "Elune! Grant, not that I should die in your house, while your servant {ToBeNamed} remains outside of it! Grant her my death, and let slip to me Undeath. While I suffer so knowing her fate, I already am in a living death, which I will carry with me through the eternity after the world so long as she remains in it, as a prison. In that moment Elune appeared, speaking: Great has been your suffering Percivale, and that for the sake those whom I love as well. However, what you have asked for is not within my power, nor any other for the plauge is an abomination of evil, those who hold power over it, never shall yeild it for the sake of any living creature. "Is there no hope at all then?" spoke Percivale. No hope? Hope, is my dominion Percivale, for it is I who am always on guard against the night. It is I who guide the weary through darkness, I who bring light where there is none. I come to you with hope if you are brave enough to accept it. And the Goddess drew nearer to him so that even as he faded from the world he knew the way back, his spirit began to take that way. "I have many servants, the night wind, the silver lining of shadows, the dreamer's sleep. My servants have reproted that there is a rumor, that the undead have found a cure though they are unable or unwilling to use it. Serve me, and I shall grant you a portion of my power, so that you can go where I am forbbiden. You shall become my Paladin, and whereas your brethern will exponge the undead with the light, you shall guide them out of darkness with it. And so Percivale accepted, and his search began...
Sorry to ramble on for so long, this is your journal after all. I just wanted an educatarued opinion of the story. Too heavy for the character? I was thinking of throwing in a change of residence at the beginning of story becaue the whole elf/night elf thing isn't 100% accurate. I've also been thinkning about keeping my Windurstain accentaru, just because I got semi-good at it and there just don't seem to be enough dialectarus these days. Well time for me to shut up, any adivce you're willing to dole out would be gratefully accepted as I've always respected the intelligence of your writing. Ta, taru for now Typo. ;)

god i wanna play some one give me money
Alright Cania~! Glad to hear you no longer have to deal with the rigors of free PvP, as I thought you would. :3 I often wish more people would get into role-playing in FFXI as it inspires a more cultivated form of behaviour and maturity which you're contentedly experiencing now. ^.^ No more 12-hour key runs with greedy lotterbots for you! While RP does exist in XI, it is unfortunately only seen in very small, underlying cliques... meh. Cenarion Circle sounds like my kinda server, even though I'm not the best of storytellers. Keeping things simple and light-hearted with Typo always wins the day for me~!
I'm not sure if I'm the right person to be evaluating your story, but in my humble opinion your RP skills are far from being "thin". :3
Percivale (Elvish/elvin, not sure. The former sounds like Typo trying to say "Elvis".), as a simple Paladin of Light, might find himself being somewhat overwhelmed by such a darkly detailed and spiritual backstory, but I figure you are going to deepen Percivale a bit anyway, as he is now a Paladin of Moonlight~^^ Your story outline reads well: it's coherent, interesting, and believable within its context, and I like how you explained your return to level 1 under the guise of this otherworldly poison - clever like a taruthf. Speaking of which, you might turn a few heads commanding the Windurstian taru accent n' stuff, but then I couldn'taru imagine you not trying-wying taru be a tarutaru like Typotaru and Nicotaru and Kristaru! "X3
Now stop making Typo blush with complimentarus, and go do homeworkies. :3

Well well well, I must admit Typo I have been so busy with me new job that I haven't read your journal lately. At the moment I'm re-installing CoP in the hopes of finding a way to do the new JSE subligar quests, I recently found out that a BRD's JSE body gives CHR+3 and adds Refresh! Not to shabby if you ask me.
Well anyways, I'm glad that you are having fun with blm again Typo even though I found out today your starting a new job again~! All I can say is G'luck to you and hope you have a better expierience then I have had lately.
On another side note Kristaru love love LOVES barding. Being adorded by JP PTs and being spoony is my true calling^^ I've had so much fun lately and I'm flying through the levels. I'm planning to go the distance with bard because although it is a fun job, leveling is becoming a little boring. I want to do Zilart missions and Windy Missions and I'm at the point that I can't do them with my current lvl jobs. Also 90% of the people on my friend's list are about 10-20 lvls higher than me and I fear they are getting very bored with my /tells for help with the ever annoying AF. I need to get a job up there in teh end game lvls so I can actually do things with them, even though I fear that by that time they will have allready done all the things that I will need to do at that time <(;' . ';)>
At least I have gotten many things done today. I finnaly defeated that nastly old Shadow Lord, Sarevoky-ninja-man basically solo'd him for me but Derutarufin, Ermy, and my identical bard twin Sotaka helped. After that I did what anyone would do, I ran to Norg to see the infamous cut-scene that starts off your Zilart missions^^ I wont say anything cause I dont want to ruin it for others but it was GOOD! lol so Zilart 1-3 complete, eagerly awaiting 4 but I think I need a few lvls before I can do that, even though I do have an unlit lantern allready if anyone sees someone doing it. (I want to go to <sky>! lol) Then after being in Norg I started the SAM quest which is the only job I still have to unluck, and on my way back to Kazham I decided to skill up because I have been obsessed with getting the Spirits Within WS for my barding pleasure hehe <(^_~)> and on my 7th lizzie killed what should drop buy the rare Elshimo Marble, so I finally have all Teleport quests done, and at a very good time cause it seems as though Yhoat scroll is increasing in value at a nice rate^^ Oh yeah, and I forgot that after 5-2 we also got me my Zvhal Coffer key, and we found the coffer and I snagged me some Old Guantlets! Whataru a great day for Kristaru!!!
Hehe, sorry for the huge post Typo lol~ maybe I should get my own journal, but then I be a sad Taru cause no one would read it <(;' . ';)> See you around Vana'diel soon Typo as well as the rest of you!^^

Preparing for me preciouscat's return, Typo spend todey on BST until I reach lvl40~ It took a while and two silly k.o's taru find me rhythm again, but everything ran smoooothly once I got back on track^^. Actarully with cooking skill now at 40, and plenty of ingredients for melon juice on hand, MP was always abundant, and chain 3's easy on EM/T, occasionally scoring a c4 on a EM~! I also had with me a slightly outdated weapon, a Warrior's Axe, and although marginally gimped in terms of attack power, it allowed Typo to melee alongside his pets for pretty much the entire duration of every battle! Gahaha, the freedom of multiple hunting techniques, only with Beastmaster! ^^.
The hard work ish over now. Altepa was far too busy for me, and in my rusty state I felt intimidated by the silly dhalmel I could seldom charm, so I fled taru Sea Serpent Grotto where I reminded bats and ghasts of just how much of an annoyance Typotaru can be!
Only 600 away from 40, so it's soon time to put me axe away once again, perhaps taru fall back on old robes and other remnants of magery come back to sit with me~.
Oie Kristaru, ish good taru know you're actually happy with something now ^.^ BRD really is you, and mehopes you can stick to it. ;3 You can ask Typo for help if ya want. Oh, actually, I did. I just reached 65. Going to go level the entire evening again. I'll acquire Swift Blade in about an hour, them Jago and I will spam Swift Blade + Tachi:Gekko for Darkness like mad. Oh, and I'm also testing Save the Queen. If the Cover bonus does allow to hit a lot more, meaning more TP, meaning more mobs die faster, so less hits in the same amount of time, and at the same time more exp per hour, I'm selling Gluttony for a Knightly Mantle and gobbies III-IV-V. But first I got to test it if it actually works. If it doesn't I'll hold on Gluttony until 66 instead.

Hehe, I know this ish your Journal Typo but I just have to share the good news, after aboutaru 15 months of playing and over 120 days playtime, I have reached a lvl 60 Job!! Hehe, I feel like I finnaly accomplished something even though I have a long way to go.^^;
I guess its not that bad considering I have like 350+ levels all together with my constant job switching <(^_~)> hehe, but at least now I'm starting to get somewhere.
Lots of luck with SMN Typo, and you know, I'll say it again, I'm up for a Fenrir Battle any time^^
It's been quite a while since I've been this active! In the past few days Typo's adventures took him from the depths of Kuftal in arrid Kuzotz, taru the gobby-infested catland housed in Elshimo, taru the highestaru heightarus up in Taru'lia! ahm...Tu'lia~! S'pose I should start from what I've been mainly occupying me time with now that I've once again set BLM on the sidelines for HNM, missions, and assisting others onry:

Summoner...Typo?</center>
As Evad, Kristof and others watch in pure horror as their /sea all Typo shows "Typo, Rank 8, SMN/WHM", Typo jack-of-all-trades his way through the forgotten newbieland leveling territories of Qufim Island, and Yuhtunga and Yhoator Jungles, with his personal deities always watching over him and his incidental company.
Not since my return taru Summoner have I ever used the likes of Shiva, Titan, Ifrit, Garuda, Leviathan, and Ramuh in a PT, and this fact made Typo more nervous than the day he lifted the hiatus on BLM. Despite doing me research, reading up on and listening taru the opinions and methods of familiar summoners, as well as those of far and away, I wasn't confident that I'd know my role when the time came... Spending almost an entire hour one day fidgeting around with me macros and wondering when I'd have the time for juice-making in the middle of hectic chain scuffle, it didn't look like Typo would ever make it out intaru the winter wonderisland. Fortunately to curb me obsessive-compulsive planning disorder, a good ol'-fashioned wake-up call (read: a swift kick in the Typobum) ish usually enough taru get me into action. A MNK/Dhalmel /tells me, and immediately puts me on the spot as he unknowingly invites this rusty summoner (pardon the pun, Rusty ;3) into his first active role as such in almost a full year. Typo accepts without having even completed his first macro set, and I give meself a head-start outside to do just that.
And it figures that for the most part, Typo would play WHM, but the satisfaction of being able taru also deal damage with Thunderspark, Rock Buster or Burning Strike made the Qufim experience manageable. In fact, at this point I realized what people meant by SMN being both enjoyable while at the same time, frustrating. From my experience so far, Typo role changes ever so slightly in every party, healing, buffing, debuffing, magic bursting, skillchain starter or finisher, though not always all at once; finding a niche taru fit into in each PT can be both fun and rewarding, as well as downright annoying.
I'd rather there not be a WHM alongside TypoSMN in the same PT "X3 I'd rather be busy to the point of not even being able to sit down and rest MP, than just standing there waiting for the bloodpact timer taru reset...
Now aftaru all that, I was going to have a long-winded paragraph dealing with the general incompetence of low-levels and their PTs nowadays, but since everyone else knew of this already, Typo just sum it all up with a single brief Q & A session instead:
Q~
Where have 99% of all the skilled low-level adventurers gone?
A~
Anywhere except here~!

So you took on Guivre...nice ! He never got me, but I want a piece of him nonetheless.
This week was mostly devoted to CoP on my part. Namely, I completed the Phomiuna Aqueducts mission, and am ready for Riverne Site A01. I also completed a few Tavnazian quests. Also, I did a big BCNM40 run, and kept one last orb for the BCNM60 fight, Celery. Jago, Laure and I are going to give it a shot, in hope I'll snatch myself a Knightly Mantle, and we'll share whatever else drops. Our BCNM40 marathon went very well... How so ? I just may have earned my very first million :p
Once my next exam on Monday is done with, back to leveling I go. I'm still aiming for 70 for March at the latest. Currently, I'm 5.5k into level 65.
Just you wait, Typo, soon enough I'll be in the "big leagues" with you :p lol

lol Fine. Catching up with you shouldn't too hard...that is, If I do spend most of the week leveling. However, it so happens I have a whole bunch of things to do. Like, going back to Phomiuna Aqueducts, a few quests and even one more BCNM fight. Either way, as I said, I'll get 70 before the end of the month for sure.
Kitty see you at the Top Eva ^ ^ I work a lot too so game time is slim.... but i will get there ^ ^
MAMA ^^ Kitty still collecting crystals for you ... when i am in pts... so kitty send to you soon.

Heh. Yeah, I'm trying to hit 70 before the end of the month. One level per week should be a reasonnable goal....I think.
I have also been told that I will be recruited into PaiMei once I hit 70. I still don't know if I'll enjoy that HNM LS stuff, but not much else I can do besides trying.

Welcome taru a very complex and hostile environment~ When you join, that ish.
I not really know what to post except I'm HNMLSless for now. Typo have a love/hate relationship with HNM at best, especially since the ones I end up in are of the run-of-the-mill dime-a-dozen reject class.
Good luck, I s'pose.

Quite frankly speaking, this isn't at all the thing I'm looking forward the most. Hitting 70 and advancing through missions is where most of my interest lies, really. I want to go further in both Zilart and CoP. Getting Rank 10 is interesting to me as well.

kekeke Good luck Eva with that....
Ding.... lvl 67 ^ ^ /dances Kitty try to lvl fast for Z missions... but KItty very worried about Maat Y Y
Kittys Goal~~~~~~~ 2-3days= 1 lvl
Licks Typo
Congratarulations to Gorgeouscat ^.^/ Ish alot of hard work, but Typo know you will make it past Maat, and eventarully to level 75~ Keep going, me superkitty! *tickles~*
Been feeling a little down lately, which ish usually the cause for such sporadic updates. I guess I'm mainly just disappointed (again) that reaching that pinnacle, becoming level 75, and being in an HNMLS really isn't doing anything for me at all. It doesn't cure viruses, or work miracles, yet without a decent high level stable to belong to, being "up here" just isn't that special. Typo sometimes wonders what it would be like to sit at the top with the likes of KoN...or at least someone more established like Nothx or PaiMei..
Probably no different, I s'pose. :/
Typo left Crusader a few days ago. Quite frankly the state of that linkshell became something pathetic, and no longer worth my time. The LS fund was a waste, and people used the LS as a forum for all their whining and bitchfests, something Typotaru can do without. Since then, I've heard the linky has been reduced to almost half its original member count, and they're now trying to rebuild, under new stipulations: Focusing on sky :: No more LS fund :: Ground HNM are money onry. Enticing, except I'm not sure why some aim for Gods before they've even conquered regular HNM... Oh well, Typo ish considering making a return, but no guarantees. For now I'd prefer to move without an LS altogether. I'll pop into NE every once in a while to say hau to me friendies.
Anyway, I can at least pat meself on the back now that Typo has secured level 40 in both SMN and WHM~ I'm going to pull a bit of a Kristof here and start job-hopping, since Typo not seem to be able to keep his interest in one thing at a time nowadays. I was thinking that it'd be nice to level a variety of jobs up to level 40, just to have the experience of playing different roles in PTs up to that mid-level area. I can't decide on what I want taru do just by thinking about it, so the only alternative ish to suit up and test drive all me options. :3 If Typo find a job I'd like taru sticky with, then that ish what I will do, and first on me list ish RDM.
RDM will be my new permanent sub to BLM for more INT, Fast Cast, Gravity, Phalanx and Dispel. It'll make a much better mining job at 41 than WHM too, with Phalanx, Refresh, and of course the energency Chainspell/Warp. Death very rarely ever happen to Typo in me volcano, so using that 2hour as a means of hasty escape while me shadows and added defense protect me will not be a problem. Added taru that, /NIN will allow for a much cheaper and safer means of Invis as well, so NIN (at least up to level 10) may be next.
I'm still up for avatar runs. Typo won't organize anything, since I'm no longer focusing on SMN, and I really have little idea as to who to take and/or what to expect from the level 70 avatar primes. If me can tag along with someone, that'd be yay.
Rank10 makes me mouth water, but only for the "status" of being Rank10, really. ":3
Valentine's ish approaching, and I'm a lonley taru. -.- I not think about this too much, so I don't really mention it at all. If only Typo could round up the world's population of mithracats for a big happyfun party.. ":3
Meh, I'm just silly, but then if Typo were silly I couldn't be Typo anymore... ._.
Evad D'Aragon
02-06-2005, 04:30 AM
Heh. Actually, I'm interested in the Avatar fights once I reach 70, so who knows, I might drop you a line.
You could also start working on CoP. If you need advice regarding the Promyvions, just ask, I'll be happy to help you with that.
I'm taking a few days off from FFXI, thanks to school, Mom's birthday and the Super Bowl lol Unless tomorrow's Super Bowl evening gets canned, I'll resume leveling I guess... @4k towards level 66.
As for the HNMs... I don't know, besides for bragging rights of having defeated them once I really don't give that much of a damn. I'm actually more interested in the Avatars, if only for both their weapons and for my SMN, which I might eventually level if I ever get bored enough. I'm really far more interested in missions and quests. So I'm guessing Dynamis will be interesting, too, if only for beating it...My dream would be to be decked in full Relic PLD armor (Valor Set), but I'm well aware that it's not happening anytime soon, if ever at all.
Oh yeah, Gorgeous, don't fret too much about Maat. Just look around and ask other DRGs for advice. If other DRGs beat it, there is no reason that you can't as well. The worst thing you can do is lose your cool and not prepare accordingly...that's when you lose.

Gorgeous, Typo, and Lunareis, holding Typo with one hand. Me rather powerful kitty...

Alotsa news~^^ Good news~! Typo will forever highlight this day as a happy day, for Lunacat ish back where she belongs...Luna ish home! I'd not too long ago awoken when she call Typo and tell me to wait for her in Jeuno o.o;;;

</center>
Sleepy-sleepy, I make me way to airport with flower and pretty papillion for cat, and following the arrival of the very next flight in from Bastok... there (
) she was~!
The poor kitty was just so excited, she not even know what taru do first~! So Typo just let her run me around - wasn't gonna leave her side after all this time, no matter how half-conscious I might have been.. She so energetic and move so fast, I couldn't help but perk up, chasing (
) around after her "X3 We played around with Gorgeouscat for a bit, but she had to go soon, so we take piccies:

After Gorgiekitty's farewell, the duo of Lunacat and Typohat hot-footed the way to Castle Oztroja, where we'd invade the birds' domain, and steal a Rogue's Culotte from one of their precious coffers. {Good job!} and congratarulations once again, micat~! Mehopes this ish just the beginning of more cat n' hat adventures, ja ?^.^
(*'-')
Well now, after that high I can't help but notice me have lots of money just laying around, and ish time to put it to some use! I not know yet "X3 Mining has been its most pleasant in recent months, as me volcano has been alot less crowded than usual.
While re-stocking in Jeuno, Littlebeartaru happens across Typo, and invites me into his LS, Whirling Wind, after a little talk~ For the past week I've been battling between rejoining Crusader, or continuing taru fly solo until I'm "ready" again. ...But WW ish already very established and well-respected, they did, after all defeat Nidhogg a couple nights ago, and I'd get to be with more of me old friends, including some of the other former Crusaders, as well as others from long ago.. So me happily accept the offer. I didn't join for items or money, although at some point I'd be hopeful for abjurations.. For now, Typo just want taru see what it ish like to be amongst those who actarully know what they're doing. For me, the real adventure and joy from HNM comes from being a part of a well-oiled machine that never quits until it succeeds in driving that final stake through the heart of its foe. There's only so many times I can handle beating up yutzies like poor Serket and Adamant King, before they become yet another trivial encounter. Farewell, and good luck taru you, Crusader~
Lillietaru invited Typo taru her LS. I'm in it for the catsex (
), though. There's a much more...intaruesting piccie, but this journal ish 'G' rated. Or supposed taru be. ;3
I mean, not that Typo being naughty (
) or anything! Just watching...pwomise! *nod nod!* Just checking (
) for fleas and milkstain, you know how you cats are...
\(*`v')/
I'm thinking I will begin my red mage training sometime tonight, but it depends on what kitty might want to do, or WW, for that matter. I volunteered taru give that hopeless (but wuvable!) Moggie (
) a tour through Ifrit's in about 2 hours from now, so I'm pretty much playing by ear. "X3
In any case, I happy nau, and hopeful that it stays that way for a long time.
You know, I was going to delete the above post, but I'll keep it there.
Keep it there as a reminder of how seemingly even the best days can turn on you and become a living hell. I suppose it's my fault, really, believing in something that I thought could come to light. Sure.
That's all I have tonight.

lol Flattery won't really get you anywhere, Moggie :p
And, frankly speaking, taking matters in your own hands is probably what you could do best. Why is that so ? Because that's exactly what I did. I'm the leader of my CoP party, and because we work as a team, we were successful so far. Also, while I'd be willing to take you for the ride, what job would you bring ? PLD ? I'm already one. BRD ? Hmm. I don't know, Ballad does come in handy but... WAR ? Well, unless you sub NIN...Anyway. Ask for anything I know about Promyvion, I can give you guys at least that much, and trust me, I know enough about it to be worthwile.
Another reason why I don't really want to go back to Promyvion is, that, well, I'm already busy on my own... Just got 67, and finishing Zilart 5 tomorrow evening. Balzac ( former member from LaCasteOubliee, now with PaiMei ) has already confirmed to me , Jago and Laurewen that PaiMei is inviting us ( Yeah, all 3 of us will be recruited once we reach 70, but it seems they are willing to help us already. Don't know if it's a good or bad thing yet, but at least I get to advance in Rise in the Zilart. ) for both Zilart 5 and 6, so I can't miss the boat. Zilart 4 went like a charm. We totally owned the Tonberries. After that, Jago, Laurewen and I went and did the first half of Zilart 5, the one that doesn't require any NM fights. So tomorrow evening, we'll get the four other fragments.
It's a great thing that Lunareis is back. Welcome back !
Looking at your previous post, Typo, I'm guessing something happened already with Whirlwind Wind , huh ? ; ;
WW is fine. Byakko was defeated tonight. As far as I know before I /shutdown, all is well in WW. Don't think too hard on those last two posts, and don't bring them up again in here. As of now they're just to serve as two contrasting reminders of what happens when you hope too strongly, and reach too far.

Typo! Been a while... I've been offline for a few weeks now due to severe instability problems. SOmehow some of my model files got corrupted, and I had to re-install the game. (Actually, the uninstall program couldnt even delete the corrupted files. It was hell).
Anyway, I just read something you may be happy to hear since you used to be such a dedicated fishertaru. The last patch brought new life to the cooking guild... this time it is going to be the fishermans turn for a revamp.
http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/information/0210.html
Interactive fishing! Not only will this will finally finish off fishbotting once and for all, they are rewarding honest fisherman with double the rate of skillups and more chances at higher level fish.
Hopefully they will leave you with some valuable fish to go after, or it will all be a waste. (I just hope the market floods with reduced priced sole sushi because of this ^^ )
I seem to be saving up for something, but I'm not sure what. Being short of motivation, I'll hang around me little volcano for a while. I may devote some attention to BLM so I can preserve lvl75 in the wake of Dynamis, FF/NH, Gods, etc.

Welcome back.
Yeah, I have heard of the new fishing update, but any passion I may have had for fishing is pretty much dead right now. It will be interesting to see how the new system once implemented really works, but I'll probably leave it to these new-age fishers after all, as I highly doubt it can compare to mining in terms of raking in those nifty gold coins. I'd really like to be proven wrong here, actually.

Actions Taken Due to Member Agreement Violations
On February 14, over 800 accounts which repeatedly violated the PlayOnline
Member Agreement were permanently banned from PlayOnline.
The users of these accounts would form groups to monopolize the hunting
spots of notorious monsters (NM). They also repeatedly performed harassment and MPK actions against other players.
Grief tactics, including harassment, are listed in the PlayOnline Member

interfering other players' game play in order to monopolize monsters which spawn in hunting spots is not allowed.
Based on the above, we have taken strict actions against players who have
violated the PlayOnline Member Agreement.
If you become a victim of harrasment, please make a GM Call and report the issue directly to a Game Master.

Cerberus' own struggling low-budget tv mini-series~!

<br>
By now, everyone has heard the stories. Typo ish speaking of the horror stories with vague yet terrible description of the evils lurking within our local telecrags. Darkess, the emptiness phenomenon, the empty themselves, all have made an existance out of injecting fear intaru the very foundation of bravery and hope which fuels us to continue our fight against evil every day.. Tales, slowly becoming legend among the weary adventarurers of Vana'diel have prevented and corruptarued many a possible successful investigation of the interior of each of the towering structures... All of this cause by... a mysterious boy?
The few among us who have tried have witnessed something truly otherworldly, something other than just another monster... And sadly, even fewer have succeeded, some taru never make it out alive to tell their tale...
From the shattered telecrystal and intaru the unknown, from the depths of the unknown up to the spire of the crag; thus shall we uncover the mystery and put a rest to the deadman's frolic of the Empty. Or will we?
Many before have tried, many have cleared the likes of Holla, Dem, and even Mea, and the phenomenon has carried them to Tavnazia...it feels strange to even write about... Ish Typo's turn taru experience and clear "Promyvion", and see the new...old land for me own little eyes.
<br>

Intaru the Unknown...
</center><br>
On its maiden voyage into Holla, Unbelievable were: Mrbandit, a firey Ranger to lead the way, Mogknight, a determined Paladin, our protector, Aick, a capable Dark Knight ready to charge into battle, Altruist, the stoic White Mage sheepman, Eldarion, a driven Black Mage, and a very cutely dressed, well-prepped Summoner Typotaru, with avatars at the ready and seemingly unlimited MP pool.
It was the first time for most of us, the stories we heard in the outside world were coming to life in front our very eyes. Strays and Wanderers and Thinkers and Seethers...so many of these..."creatures" were labled off-limits - untouchable, as any links or unnecessary fighting could very well hamper our expedition, if not cause our demise. We had taru tread carefully.
With the experience of Bandit and Alt, we were able taru make our way through multiple levels of safely locating and defeating our targets: the Memory Receptacles, keepers of the portal to the next area. We often found ourselves having taru pick out and clear away some of the stray Empty, if nya pardon me punnery, and rest up in the middle of nowhere so as to stand up strongly against our next foe. Our leader's direction made things seem easy, and soon our party had established a nifty rhythm in clearing a path taru the top. It was only after a short while when Typo felt comfortable inside the dark abyss, and in his role as a Summoner, even knowing that 3 Astral Flows would be expected of me once it was time to take on Holla's final guardian.
When Typo look back at it, it all happen so fast...2, maybe 3 Receptacles went down, and we had reached the top floor unscathed. Things would change from here... Bandit mentioned something about a "run". While exercising ish good for you and all, Typo not think it was an appropriate time taru be thinking about taking a jog through the dark ._.;; After that me realized we'd be making a dash for the spire, and so with Carby out taru take care of any nosey Emptys, we weaved through Promyvion Holla's final wave of oddities, diving into the portarul that would lead us to...
<br>

...a congregation of dark matter, a vortex of darkness.
</center><br>
A mysterious entity which Typocom identified as "Wreaker", would emerge from out of the dark energy and become the one thing standing between us, and our goal... A battle that the storybooks would laud as an "epic" would ensue, the line between life and death very nearly crossed at many points during our struggle. Drinking me juices and ethers to maintain me MP for a 3rd and final Diamond Dust, Typo would soon command Shiva to unleash her power once more, a gesture which would prove taru be me final act in this battle...
<br>

</center><br>
So close, yet so far... our hate management and PT formation somehow fell apart at the very end, our black magic contribution somehow doing less and less each shot.. Typo not understand up taru now..
Our team would make numerous attempts at the Wreaker, and undergo several modifications, each time being defeated by some stroke of awful luck, including this (
), which happened twice in 2 consecutive battles -.- They never let me live that down nau... >.<;; On one occasion we brought in a second SMN to wipe the floor with the Wreaker with 6 Astral Flows... Everything went according to plan until our second wave of AF...both Diamond Dust attacks missed, out tank relinquishing hate taru the RNG at the most inconvenient of moments.. We never bothered with any form of anima to weaken the guardian. If it weren't for our luck, it wouldn't have been necessary. But even the most stubborn minds give into the obvious at some point: we weren't winning, might as well give it a shot.
Our next encounter with BigUgly would result in sweetaru success~! With the Wreaker unable to spam drain attacks like no tomorrow, we were able to win by doing absolutely nothing special at all. Go Typoteam go~!
...
And as the excitement reached its climax, a foreboding feeling comes over Typo as we stand face-taru-face with the mothercrystal (
). "It contains the light that keeps the planet alive", insists NagMolada, chief envoy of Jeuno. With the impossible occurring so frequently after the birth of this phenomenon, Typo would believe anything right now... We are accused of leading the mysterious boy to the crystal, and it ish NagMolada's belief that he will release the darkness to engulf the mothercrystal and thus inflict chaos upon Vana'diel.
At this point Typo had to wonder if it was worth coming here.. I not watch the news or read the tribune, Typo not so concerned with all these big evil world issues >.> Monster hunting, sure! Someone gottaru clean up the place sometime, and as long as it keep Typoskills in tune I'm all for it! X3 But now I felt like I was being dragged into something far deeper than I ever anticipated. Not wanting to back down from challenge, or let down the innocents all over the world, Typo will see this through to the end!
Huh, sounds like a typically contrived standard RPG plot to me!
...
A good night's rest later and a few hours of cleaning up and around me Jeuno moggiehouse after Typo and Kattcat make happymess all over place, it was time taru regroup and take on Dem and Mea. Typo would travel this time in a WHM capacity, and quite frankly I missed being able taru command me avatars to do something useful to the point of being downright bored. Amazing how something so intimidating yesterday could suddenly seem so banal.
But it was... last night's experience was apparentaruly all we needed to prep us for both Dem and Mea.. What can Typo say, although, Holla ish said to be the hardest, and after todey me can't help but agree. WHM, RNG, RNG, WAR, DRK, PLD wins the day~ /nod
Had a dream where I was seeing the world through someone else's eyes... visions of some girl I not know, not even a misura *shudders*.
...
I open me eyes and am standing in Lufaise Meadows. So tranquil... it's been a long time since I've been somewhere new and not feared for me life. Instantaruly reminded of La Theine and how taken aback I was by the beauty of simple nature.. With the light of Holla, Dem and Mea in me possession, Typo somehow made it here.. I ran with one of me comrades through this new land, at least, new to us, and was met with a rather convincing reason to break into a sprint across the bridge (
) and into the Tavnazian Safehold~!

Not worry, with Typocharm being so irresistable, they will accept us in no time ^.^ Typo will help Moggie and mama with Holla, and make sure Alexielmama also makes it across the skies and into the new world.. Let's think of summink', Moggie, Evad~! :3
Me leave Typocam (http://photobucket.com/albums/v203/bakadl) on over night so all can see nifty piccies~ Typo too sleepy taru proofread long posty, so maybe some Typotypos along the way. Not wake me and tell me if you find any, or I'm gonna eat you.
Katt can sing (
) now, she's a BRD. Typo paint piccie for Kattcat~ Muah (
)!
This just reminded me of that plan I had to level RDM from scratch. You guessed it - no longer intaruested. Time for Typo to once again shock world and give fans heart attack over me next job decision...

Congrats on reaching the Safehold.
Now you most likely understand a lot of the things I said in my story ;)
... we failed at Riverne Site-A01 yesterday. Reaching the boss was a snap, but we just couldn't win. Fear not, it was only a few minor details we weren't really aware of. Now that we know, we'll prepare accordingly.
However, CoP is on hold for a good 2 weeks. My current objectives are getting to 71 ( so that I may equip Durandal and Warwolf Belt, but I know that also means dealing with Maat... ) and reaching Tu'Lia. I am at Zilart 6 now, but Jago didn't get one fragment from Zilart 5 and so I have to help him with the NM at Sanctuary of Zi'tah. Once I'm 71 and both Jago and Laurewen are at least 70, we'll also recruit Kinsen, my RDM pal, who's 65 right now. Our old friend from LaCasteoubliee, Balzac ( now with PaiMei ) should join us to help us reach Tu'Lia. From there, all we need is another damage dealer, and we are set to do Zilarts 6-13.
Once I finally gain access to Tu'Lia, our party will resume CoP. We'll first get our revenge on those Mammet, then we'll move with the chapter 3 missions. Once that's done, Jago and Backus intend to level their RNGs to 50, so that we can do the chapter 4 missions. By that time, William, our RDM, should be level 50+ as well. And that's pretty much the only time when I could be available to help with Promyvions...and I believe that will happen in a good month at least. I'm sorry ; ;
And that brings me to another thing... Remember that I'm the chaperone for William and Littleyuuki ( our CoP SMN ) ? Well, when I logged on yesterday I saw that a time slot got cancelled at the last minute, so I applied for it and... got it.
William and Littleyuuki are to be wed today, at 5 PM PST at the Chateau d'Oraguille in San d'Oria. Considering I barely had 24 hours to prepare everything, it went really well. Needless to say, both were full of joy when I annonced the good news to them. It will be the first wedding in Lacasteoubliee, but probably not the last, as Jago and Laurewen want to get married as well. However in this case, Mihmendra is the chaperone.
EDIT : And so it took place. However, as I was the chaperone and organizing the wedding ( I even hosted a Teamspeak session to which nearly 10 persons attended to :) ), I could only take a single picture at the end of the ceremony, with the couple and their attendees :
However, Jago recorded a video using FRAPS. So, maybe later on I will also post it. Anyway, should we ever see either William ( RDM, Bastok ) or Littleyuuki ( SMN, San d'Oria ), please congratulate them on my behalf. :)

Heh, I know I said that already , but what better way to get things done then doing them YOURSELF ? ^^
I am now not only Rank 8, but Rank 9 ! ^^
I posted a thread about Jago and I's adventures on Lacasteoublie's board. I'm too lazy to recap everything, but at least you can take a look at the pics. So, don't mind the French lol

There you go.
I have an exam tomorrow, so this evening I'll most likely only download the update. I'll resume leveling after that, a few deaths during the missions set me back a bit, so now I'm 10k to level 68. Either way, next week is my week-off, so I should be able to hit 70 if I give it best.
