A tired soul

a tired soul sits
waiting for the beat of excitment-
drifts off into a world
far from the usual that is know-
but is diappointed
for it never comes, and that soul-
is never again the same
for what that soul once thought-
is nothing but a lie
so as the tired soul sits, it ask-
only one simple thing
why? the answer never comes-
and that soul is mad
mad with the question that is-
what happened
where is that beat of excitment-
will it ever come
someday that soul will find out-
the answers that plagues
not only it’s mind, but it’s body-
