[FLAC] The Works III – Jun Senoue (And more!)

Managed to get my hands on all three current albums in Jun Senoue’s The Works series, so I ripped all of them since I wasn’t sure if the first two had been ripped in FLAC. If anyone had been looking forward to HQ rips of the Sonic Mania Adventures remixes by Jun Senoue and Tee Lopes, they’re in The Works III.

I only included the booklet scans for III since I had personally done them and the other two albums have scans that are easily available if one knows where to look.

You forgot to mention that full size images on VGMdb are available only to registered users, not visitors, latter get thumbnails.

Any chance you’d be willing to re-rip the CDs following this guide in order to produce a 100% rip with cue and log? It would mean a lot! I’m sure many others would appreciate it just as much! Thread 91868

Cross between a word of advice and a light warning: Don’t be annoying, SonicRings4. You’d do well to remember the Shrine doesn’t enforce such "quality standards". Heck, I clearly remember chewing your "Lossless VG thread folks’ " asses quite a bit on this very issue (among other things), in the past.
This place isn’t What.CD.

Also, something else: you’re not satisfied with what someone is offering? You can always take matters into your hands by either:

– Acquiring a copy of the CD and rip it yourself;
– Look for another rip/source (without bugging the uploader, yes, especially when the person clearly hasn’t stated he/she is willing to bother with re-ripping+re-uploading.

I mean I’m a 100% cd whore myself too but if uploader doesn’t want to do it, I’m fine with just the flac itself, it’d be the same to me if it was an mp3 of a rare album I wanted

He only asked once though. If the uploader denies him, then it’s over, I don’t think he’s being too annoying yet. He could be worse.

I must let you know that a few users expressed once again their displeasure with these unwarranted requests (ah, in order to dispel any thoughts you might be having, not Ashram), so, please, try and leave the uploaders alone… While I’m at it, I might as well remind you that nothing stops you from starting request threads in Game, Film, TV & Anime Music Requests (http://forums.ffshrine.org/forumdisplay.php?f=95)’ sub-forums, in case you’re looking for different, or more complete rips.

Ah my apologies, but I think you’re mostly talking about a situation that you think will happen in the future, not what I just posted.

I don’t quite remember the ass chewing, either because it was too long ago or because I wasn’t there. You mentioning What.CD suggests it was at least 3 years ago, before it died. But I don’t expect the same quality standards, hence me asking Ashram.

The reason I saw it fit to ask in the first place was because I have never seen a perfect FLAC rip of any of these before. Heck, until Ashram’s upload, I’ve only had an MP3 V0 of The Works 2, which is why I expressed such gratitude for that one specifically.
Ashram has very rare CDs and I don’t expect I’d be able to find anyone who owns these anywhere else. That’s why I’m asking if he’d re-rip them. Everyone will benefit.
And, if he does want something in return, I’d be more than happy to help him with that. I’m not demanding he do all this for free. If he wants an album that he hasn’t been able to find, I’ll provide it, no problem. It’s only fair.

Again, if this CD wasn’t so rare I’d simply ask someone else and leave Ashram alone. But that is not the case. He has some rare CDs, and I’d be interested if he’d be willing to provide us all with a perfect rip of them.

I didn’t intend to pester him after the last post I made, and I hope this doesn’t get seen as such. I’m merely explaining my point of view and dispelling your fear that my behaviour may escalate. I offered him a deal, if he doesn’t want to take me up on it, then there’s nothing I can do. I’m still thankful for the FLAC rips he’s made and will continue following his uploads. And who knows, perhaps if he sees that I’m not the only one asking for perfect rips, he’ll change his mind. But again, that’s not for me to prove, but for everyone else responding to this thread. 😉

You could try sending him a PM as well with some help like an easy tutorial, because posting in the thread is kind of like calling someone out over it, but then again that might be even worse. A lot of users are not naturally sticklers for the archival rips so you don’t want to come off sounding entitled over that.
