To celebrate this momentous occasion, I think it’s time that the third installment in this legendary series got it’s music properly ripped in the highest quality possible.
I know there are several people on this site and beyond who have done such a thing, but IMO, none of them are of truly great quality; having some audible static in the background, are of low volume level compared to the likes of Crash 1 & 2 and almost every single one ever ripped does not have the full Cortex theme with the riffs that are supposed to occur between 0:45 – 0:57 and 1:32 – 1:45 (ish).
I’ve searched high and low through the internet and have come up with nothing.
Is there anyone out there who has managed to pull off this task or is willing to try?

The PSF files were converted to WAV in Foobar with the PSF Decoder plugin. (Credit to Matrixz for providing the PSF files)
I’ve listened through the songs a bit and I believe the sound levels are normalized, nor did I really notice any static. I didn’t do any modifications to the files. I’m not familiar enough with the game or the Cortex song, but hopefully this rip will have what you’re looking for. Good hunting.
On the plus side though, literally 6 days after posting this, KBABZ posted his own thread on all five of the PS1 Crash Bandicoot games (in MP3), and let me tell you, that is the definitive music thread for those games, as all of them are of great quality and volume, plus the Cortex theme from Crash 3 is complete.
