Stella Glow tells the story of Alto and his quest to seek out four Witches, who personify the four elements, in order to undo a curse of crystallization brought over his hometown by an evil Witch and her Harbingers. Each Witch has the ability to cast spells via songs, which can be unlocked by having Alto "tune" their hearts. Battles are turn-based and yet play out on a Strategy RPG grid map much like the Fire Emblem or Shining Force series. Tuning can be done during "free time" as Alto engages with the Witches and strengthens their bonds, whereas "battle time" will move the story forward. Incidentally, Stella Glow is the final game developed by Imageepoch (perhaps most famous for the Luminous Arc trilogy) before they filed for bankruptcy after its release.
