I was more commenting on that fact that there was a Transformers and Evangelion crossover.

It was weird idea at first, but then I realized it was rather fitting. Robots fighting angels? What if instead of using emotionally complicated teenagers to fight, why don’t we use robots that have lived for thousands of years and are thus trained to combat threats against Earth? It’s rather genius, especially when we have Optimus Prime! We have more success on NERV’s hand!

There was a four issue online comic about this. It seems rather neat. However, the only real recognizable character that TFWiki notes from the anime is Misato Katsuragi. Where is everyone else? How different is this universe from the original and Rebuild? Are any of the three children around? Was Second Impact ever a thing? What about SEELE? It’s pretty clear the comic is more concerned with being a cool concept than anything else.

I always wanted to watch Eva. I saw snippets of End of Eva and it was a insane visual treat. Considering what the show is infamous for, I’m concerned I’ll be left in a trance after finishing it, but I’ve seen enough bad things to have that happen.

Lastly, the real reason I made the post? That Masterpiece Optimus Prime. I want that damn toy, but it’s so expensive! It’s frustrating!

Really. I thought about it for a long while after the first time I watched it. Then I watched it a second time (I sort of binged it). I understood it a little better, but I still plan to watch it at least 5 times more, because you get something more from it every time, and it’s worth every watch. It’s also something you can probably analyze the meaning of for hours.

Though at this point in my life I feel strange or out of balance almost all of the time, Neon Genesis Evangelion only amplified it to an extent, it was kind of hard to tell a difference. :p

I also found the special edition plot not particularly different from the original plot. It was supposed to be ‘controversial’, but I certainly wasn’t riled in the least.
