I was wondering if I wasn’t the only one who noticed this cue in from last nights episode of The Walking Dead.
(I took out a few of the channels to clean it up a bit, in the episode itself it’s fairly droned out by the scene’s sfx).

I was so pumped when this sequence was airing during the episode, and could only think to myself how Bear
McCreary had been stepping up his game over the duration of the show. I loved the rising tempo and strings,
but couldn’t really make out the melody over the sfx.
I was surprised to say the least when I went back to pull out the centre channel. However, it began to make
me wonder. Was it the case that they had licensed this piece for the episode or was it another instance similar
to what was discussed in an earlier thread from a while back, here (Thread 80423)?

@dharmacise: They are not the same song, but they do have a similar pattern, rhythm-wise and melody-wise. There are a couple of tones that separates them from one another, but that’s that. Good catch, by the way! 😉
