[Game-Rip] Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Complete Soundtrack! (FLAC+MP3 @ 48kHz)

COMPLETE SOUNDTRACK!
With 637 audio files! [Includes Announcer tracks, removed duplicates; initially totaled at 532 tracks] (includes victory themes, special message SFX and a couple of my own edited tracks; Opening (Announcer Mix)

All tracks have been ripped directly from the game, so this rip is of the best possible quality anyone could get.

The source files are 48kHz (48000Hz) with a 16bit audio resolution and they are directly, with no processing, tampering or faffing, converted to .FLACs of the same sample rate and bit-depth. Then of course those FLACs are converted to MP3 files of the highest possible quality — They’re all looped once to make a 4-minute length average and have a ~10-second fade-out.

Again, this is the best possible quality rip that will be available, alongside those doing a fantastic job on their own library (Morbidcrab, Repawn, Ungrateful Dead, Twilight One, Scutilla, Rageplay and Mew3) over here! (Thread 182554)

I have spent hours tagging all the files accordingly to make for a top-quality library of music and included the following metadata: Title, Artist, Composer, Album, Album Artist, Track Number, Disc Number, Year, Genre and of course newly made, but very fitting, artwork for all tracks! Also, all tracks are sorted into their own series-specific folders. (Planned new tag data: Original release date; ‘Original Date’)

Metadata, folder structure:

The track titles will appear as they do in the games ‘Sound Test’ mode, artists are set to whatever is specified in the game but there are some missing – so I have looked up the original composer of the song and placed him/her/them in!

The track numbers are specific to their folders, not across the entire album (e.g. Mario tracks from 1-62). The disc numbers are specific to each folder too, as if each folder was it’s own disc and part of a set of 24. When setting the track numbers I kept the Sound Test mode in mind, so **all** tracks in this library have been listed in the same order they appear in the mode.

The year represents the year this soundtrack was released, the ‘Original Year’ specifies when the song was actually first composed! (e.g. Super Mario 64 Main Theme was composed in 1996). [this is being put together with the FLACs first]

The Album tag start specifically with "Super Smash Bros. for Wii U – Vol." to ensure proper listing of the album volumes on mobile devices and music libraries on players etc. (format idea courtesy of /u/Drezus) instead of haveing "A- Mario" sat at the top of your album folders and "O – Animal Crossing" sat halfway down!

The Album Artist is set to "Super Smash Bros. for Wii U" for easy finding overall.

I wanted to make sure with the artwork was that it remains consistent with the style of the official Smash Bros. website, I also wanted to pay a bit of homage to the games Sound Test itself by including a red series logo instead of white to indicate when you’re listening to a new remix! — this saves cluttering up the tags with ‘[Remix]’ after each track name! — There are also plenty of variations of all the artwork included for you to use according to your own personal taste! Too bad that the announcer’s voice saying "Duck Hunt" in the North American version isn’t available in the complete tracks, but I give your complete soundtrack 5 out of 5 stars!

So Roynerer, can you reup the torrent without compression, like they do on #gamemp3s (http://www.gamemp3s.net/) and such? Like I said, we’re looking at a ~2% compression, which is something, but the downsides are far greater. Like, you could apply those fixes or new tracks to it and we wouldn’t need to redownload everything! Keep those seeds alive.

Dunno how much trouble would that cause to you, but please consider it if you can. Anyway, I’m pretty happy with the amount of seeds and surely this will stay alive for LONG.

Tagging scheme eh, well this is the first ever album I’ve done :p talk about diving into the deep end! So my scheme is pretty new and I just improvised and added as I went along – a handy piece of software (http://www.mp3tag.de/en/) made the tagging process a LOT quicker though, and gave me the ability to literally copy and paste all the tags from the FLACs to the MP3s with just a few clicks 🙂

I really like the idea of having a collective group to sort out Crediar’s rips into albums! I like doing album artwork best 🙂 but of course, tagging is satisfying too! Wouldn’t mind doing a chunk of the conversions either ha!

I like how you made covers for all the other characters for the other games, and it makes me feel like the Legend of Zelda set could do with those two. If not, then is there, say, a Photoshop file or something that you have saved that you wouldn’t mind sharing so I could make my own?

Finally downloaded it, just want to make another point to my request:

Uncompressed files: 4.56GB

The advantages of a uncompressed torrent are far better than downloading less ~120MB. Dunno if .flac can be compressed more, but I don’t see anything below 10% as worth. Please, if you or anyone can, update the torrents with these changes. I would if my internet wasn’t borderline dial-up.

Funnily enough, that PAC-MAN song was already looped straight from the source file, so my provided version of the song is how it’s supposed to be looped I guess!

The gap of silence is created by the uploader it seems, he/she has manually looped it and included a moment of silence before the song restarts. If you check how the song loops in ‘My Music’ then you shall hear for yourself how it is supposed to loop 🙂

I’m not sure what it was. In 3 different music players (and 2 different apps on my phone) it started a bit late. When I checked it out in Audacity there was a strange glitchy sound (for lack of a better term) before it started where it usually had.

I ended up converting the FLAC version myself and now it sounds normal.

thanks for this! not sure if it’s been mentioned but the embedded album art adds almost 1mb per file. resizing all the album art to a more reasonable 500×500 reduced the overall size by about 1gb for me.

Oh, and the Tournament tracks.

Tomodachi Life and Mii Plaza play in the Tomodachi Life stage, and Save the World, Heroes! and Dark Lord play in the Find Mii stage. Both stages are 3DS-exclusives. The other tracks are for the Miiverse stage which hasn’t been released yet.

I’m looking for the Soundtrack but withouth looping.
Like; all tracks having the same length as the soundtest in the game itself.
This version is looping twice, right?

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it arrived today. I was debating whether or not to upload it, seeing as how the gamerip is as good as it gets. But I suppose some people will want the official soundtrack, especially those who didn’t get the offer for one reason or another.

Many thanks. I was a disappointed with the Club Nintendo one. For starters it was in Japaneses…. with 72 tracks to rename, ect, ect Plus it didn’t have many new songs either, just alot of songs from Brawl.

Looking at the kHz, the in-game Wii U files are 48 kHz while the soundtrack CD is 44.1 kHz. Not sure if this means the in-game files are definitely better than the official CD, though.

In terms of technical quality the game’s files are probably better. But I doubt the human ear is able to detect the slight difference.

Why does the announcer for Captain Falcon contain the announcement for all fighters? The track is named Captain Falcon.mp3 but it seems to include every announcement and is 6:30 long.
Does anyone have the announcement for Captain Falcon alone?

You mean the Club Nintendo OST people got for free? No, it has only 72 songs, thought since it’s an actual, physical release the quality is significantly better than the files on the game disc. Still, the gamerip is better than nothing, which is sadly the case for a lot of the songs. I would have hoped the Club Nintendo OST to have more original songs, like Final Destination, or the Ticket Selection themes, but oh well. If anything I’m just happy Nintendo released an OST for one of their games, since they barely do that. and it was free, at that.

This is cool, I hope any new songs or sounds will be added done in the same manner as the rest of it is layed out. I think I found a couple of errors the first is minor the title for the announcer saying ready said GAME! the actual file was correct thou. The second is a bit more major the file where the announcer says Captain Falcon is alot long then it should be as it files through all of the annoucer audio for the game I figured I’d mention it as it’s not something everyone is likely to pick up and is easy to miss if I hadn’t been listening to all off the files for the hell of it I’d have missed both things myself.

Edit: On further investigation it may all be down to the fact I dowloaded the MP3 version of the rar from google drive as the other links don’t work and I didn’t have the patience to download it all file by file from the mediafire version as it won’t let me dowload it by folder without paying for upgrade thus I didn’t get the fixed up file and I think I’m missing a couple files too know that I look at the media fire version. does anyone have the full thing that is fixed and all and is willing to post a download that works please it would take hours to figure out what I do and don’t need to download and do so.

Edit 2: Okay I took a look at the folders by comparing the number of files and folders and found out it was just the announcers folder out of whack. So i copyed over the covers folder (as it’s identical in at least three folders anyway) and then ran through the folder in alphabetical order and replaced what was missing and grabbed a fixed captain falcon file at the same time so now it should be fine seening as i already grabbed the 3DS folder earlier and dowloaded the link from above till we get an update with announcer and music set up the same way I should be fine now. I’m going to get out of everyones hair now bye.

Ok just checked out Roynerer’s Reddit page, it has the dlc pack up to Ryu/Mewtwo. No final fantasy or Bayonetta dlc yet. Which makes sense, it’s still only like 2 weeks old.
