Allegedly the complete mono score as used in the film (but see post #17, #19 about missing music from this). It was clean except for the Main Title which was full of effects, so I replaced it with the identical-but-stereo Main Title (after volume adjustment) from the Capitol CD release.
In cues such as #39, not sure if it’s dropout or intentional at 0:02 and 1:56.

There’s another upload with unused alternate tracks. No track times shown so I dont know if it has extended cues used in the Italian film edit: Thread 138465
Also, here’s a thread for: For A Few Dollars More (1965) OST bootleg Ennio Morricone
Thread 133405
I downloaded the latter and the complete score is labeled up to 48 tracks but there are only 46 tracks. I can’t seem to find any information on it so I thought it was worth a try if you knew. Regardless, thanks for this great music!
Oh and here is a cover I made for this complete score!

I compared the final shootout cue while playing the dvd – the pitch was slightly different, but except for a brief moment of non-music in the film, it was the same music content, unlike the retail cds.

Thanks for the clarification sadsack! After listening to a few tracks, I’m definately preferring this mono masterpiece as it was intended! Thanks for the share!
Actually I was thinking of substituting other identical-but-stereo tracks from the retail cds into this mono collection (and match the mono volume to them) to create a better sounding complete film version. I wonder if that’s what the other complete version is – with the unused CD tracks added as bonus tracks? As you’ve DL’d the other version, perhaps you’ve noticed if it’s a mix of stereo and mono cues?
I didn’t even think of that, it definately could be a mixture of released editions as the quality seems to be all over the place. I would definately like to give a listen to your edition if you ever decide to make it. Thanks again for this upload!
I’d be very interested in this…
can you specify the scene and timing in the movie so we know what you’re referring to?
on the DVD, it’s 38:15 chapter 11. Tuco holding the chicken leading into the cave sequence where he meets his old cohorts. The music in the Italian track starts right at the beginning of the scene, the English not until a bit later, and the two cues are close by not identical. The Italian track has a unique sounding playful/wacky flute trills, etc. The later part sounds similar to Father Ramirez, but there’s definitely different content…
The original two links still work.
Mono, and in .flac format.
I tried old versions, they were in bad .mp3, and I tried 2000s remastered versions, they had HORRIBLE panning and lower dynamic range.
That one is the BEST!
Thanks! 🙂
I have been listening to "The Good, The Bad & The Ugly (Complete Score)" on spotify (most of it has now been removed)
