EL LADRON DE SUE�OS (unreleased score by Pascal Gaigne) (lossy/flac)

Here’s a rare one—Pascal Gaigne’s unreleased score to El Ladron de Sue�os ("Thief of Dreams"). A Spanish animated film from 2000, the story centers on a scientist who invents a giant robot capable of giving nightmares to children. With the aid of the robot, a group of children held captive in the scientist’s lab plan a daring escape. Nominated for a Spanish Academy Award (a "Goya") in the best animated film category (but not the winner).

Gaigne’s score is lively, quirky, and charming, very different from his work for film dramas. I detect lots of electronics, however, especially for the violins. The score seems to have been released as an 18-track Promo (per eBay) so I’m guessing this is the same (though the artwork for the back looks a little amateurish). Sadly, all tracks on the disc appear to be lossy.

18 tracks totaling over an hour of music. The last track is a vocal (artist unknown).
Very good stereo sound. No dialog or sfx.
Sadly, EAC and TAU indicated all tracks on the disc to be lossy.
Disc was ripped to FLAC using XLD.
