Well here’s the thing… when I drag the file into the editing software (I use Sound Forge Pro btw) it’s almost impossible to save your edited work without re-encoding it. So I always save it as a totally uncompressed .wav file and then re-convert it to its original bitrate, because when I save it as it’s original bitrate, it gets re-encoded anyway.

I know this is probably the wrong way about editing music… but if someone can give me some CONSTRUCTIVE pointers as to editing lossy material without re-encoding the files, please let me know, and I will happily re-upload my edited version of this score accordingly.

i think that way you did it at is best. i may be wrong though. but from what i have read its always best to convert lossy to a lossless fromat then edit as you wont lose much quality during to editing process.

If you need to edit MP3 or whatever lossy format, but don’t want to lose in quality after you’ve finished editing is to save in a lossless format afterwards. Converting MP3 to Wav to edit, and then saving back in a MP3 is still going to be a transcode and
will still sound worse then the original quality.

Yeah. Assuming that you just let the countdown proceed; it should start the download when it gets to zero.

Passwords are smart. Passwords mean some dude isn’t checking the .rar to make sure there aren’t copyrighted things in it. And I believe bishtyboshty gave the passwords – both of them – otherwise the file would have been utterly useless.

Besides, what’s terrible about a double .rar? It’s just one extra click of the mouse to fully extract it.
